Chapter 42 Restless Night
In Minnesota, when Leo first heard the name Kingpin from the mobs, he was unsure whether it was the Kingpin from Daredevil or Spider-man.
He thought it was the Kingpin from Spider-man since he met Mary Jane during the day.
But this evening, reality slapped his face. Daredevil suddenly appeared and they had a meaningless fight. So was this Kingpin the Kingpin from the Daredevil movie?!
Leo now had almost given up on using his previous life movie-watching experience to guess this universe.
This universe should be a mix of various elements from Marvel. Leo could only pray the mutants from Marvel would not appear in this universe.
If that were the case, this universe would be too dangerous!
When Leo said he knew who Kingpin was, Ol’ Tom who was playing dead could not hold back and said, “You know who Kingpin is? You are not bragging, right?! Say it, I want to know if you really know or not.”
Leo grinned at Ol’ Tom before saying, “Ol’ Tom, you really can’t seem to keep your mouth shut! I seriously doubt that you can keep all the secrets of today from spreading. How about I shut you up, what do you think?”
Although Leo made it sound like a joke, Ol’ Tom could help to shiver and feel his heart chill.
His man’s sixth sense told him Leo was not joking. This made Ol’ Tom completely well-behaved and truly shut his mouth up.
Leo and Bucky talked to each other after Ol’ Tom closed his mouth. Moreover, Leo and Bucky deliberately speed up their pace.
Although Ol’ Tom’s leg hurt, he did not dare to say anything. He could only sullenly endure the pain while limping after the two of them.

Despite Leo disdaining Ol’ Tom being talkative, he still considered Ol’ Tom’s leg. So it took thirty minutes before the three of them reached the entrance of the Harvest Hotel.
Hell’s Kitchen was not a safe place. Since it was already very late, the hotel owner had closed the door. If the three of them wanted to enter, they could only knock and ask the owner to open the door.
Just as Leo strode forward wanting to knock, he suddenly halted. Bucky keenly noticed Leo’s abnormality and asked, “Leo, what happened?”
Leo pointed to the parking space on the right side of the road of the hotel and said, “Take a careful look, has our car been touched?”
Bucky took a closer look and replied with uncertainty, “It seems that… The car tires moved forward by twenty centimeters.”
“Come, let’s have a look!”
The three of them approached the car and knew something was wrong. All of the doors and trunk of the car had signs of being pried.
Leo immediately opened the trunk and saw the car’s Lightweight Power Arm Type VI, firearms, jewelry robbed from Minnesota, and things Leo brought out from Base 033 were completely gone!
It was fine for firearms and jewelry to go missing since they were unimportant to Leo.
There was a hard disk among the lost items. It contained every bit of data Leo secretly stole from Dr. Zola’s database in Base 033.
Leo left Base 033 in a hurry, thus he did not have time to look at what was on the hard disk. However, the hard disk contained Dr. Zola’s lifetime research and secrets and this was priceless to Leo. This time, Leo was really anxious.
Leo noticed Ol’ Tom’s expression of wanting to speak at the back and said, “Ol’ Tom, if you have anything just said! I’m in a bad mood, you better not talk nonsense.”
“Mr. Leo, Your car has an out-of-state license plate which was shouting ‘Hey! I’m fat sheep’ in the eyes of Hell’s Kitchen’s thugs. I’m afraid it was locals from Hell’s Kitchen who stole your stuff.”
“What’s the need for you to say that?! Just tell me, is there any way to place the lost thing?”
“This… This depends on the situation. This is Chinatown and it’s under the jurisdiction of four gangs. If you want to find the thing back, we must know which gang’s people stole it.”
Bucky saw Leo’s face darkened and was afraid he would slap Ol’ Tom to death. He interrupted, “Ol’ Tom, don’t spout these useless things. Just tell us the name of the four gangs and where to find them. If you keep speaking nonsense, I’m afraid you will not live.”
Ol’ Tom was scared by Bucky. He shivered and said, “Two of the four gangs you already knew are Black Bear Gang and Poison Wolf Gang. Their base was Pure Love Bar on the east and Nightmare Bar across from Pure Love Bar respectively. As for the other two, one of them is called Wheel Gang, and they are located in an auto repair shop eight blocks in the south. Another one is called Black Fist Gang and their lair is ten blocks to the north in an underground boxing ring. This is all I know, and I said it all. No nonsense!”
“Your last sentence is nonsense!” Leo who was in a bad mood yelled at Ol’ Tom causing him to take a few big steps back in fright.
Bucky felt that four gangs were not much, so he suggested, “There’s no time to lose. Leo, how about we split up and search these four gangs one by one?”
Leo knew Bucky’s method was troublesome but the most effective and was about to agree. All of a sudden, a light bulb went off in his head. He remembered he saw a camera installed on the hotel signboard when he left this evening.
Leo turned at the camera and saw it had a faint red light showing it was working properly.
Leo was overjoyed and pointed at the camera while saying to Bucky, “I don’t think it will be that troublesome. Do you see that camera? Our choice of staying in Harvest Hotel was a good choice. This hotel owner is quite reliable in doing things!”
Bucky saw the camera and also smiled and felt relieved.

Dong, dong, dong!
The knocking sound rang through the empty street. A few minutes later, footsteps could be heard in the Harvest Hotel. Then, Leo heard the slightly familiar voice of the hotel owner.
“Who is it? My hotel is closed after 8 p.m. If you want to stay, look for other places and I advise you to walk a little farther before looking for a place to stay.”
The owner’s voice came out of the hotel while at the same time, Leo also heard the sound of the gun being pulled inside.
Leo and Bucky’s expressions changed and pulled Ol’ Tom away from the door. Leo spoke loudly, “Boss, we are the customer who checks into your hotel this evening. When we left, we also asked for your recommendation for places to eat. You recommended the steak from the Peace Diner, do you still remember?”
