Uni appears curious after my statement. When Uni joined me, all the facilities were already set up. I obviously lived in a country, so that’s natural.

I went to the kitchen, and turned on the tap there. But of course, no water came out. Neither would it in the bath nor the toilet.

Uni clapped his hands together with a “pon”. Uni seems to have realised what I meant.
Yes, when this prefab was completed, it didn’t have any water in and out. Using fire and turning on lights aren’t a problem though, as they work by taking in mana from the surroundings.

I headed into the forest with Uni. There’s a river flowing there, and a water-quality test showed that there was no problems.
It’s a beautiful river. So I figured this would be the best water we could get.
After that I was thinking about the plumbing, when I heard the trees and plants rustling and shaking, and something abruptly appeared.
”It’s a Vinyl Tree? Perfect timing.”

What appeared was a tree monster capable of thought. There are various types, such as Treants, so we were lucky to find a Vinyl Tree. After defeating this guy, the sap you get can be made into vinyl pipes.
The Vinyl Tree then attacked us, swinging its branch like a whip. But the ground formed into a wall and blocked the blow.

Uni is also talented in earth magic. Thanks to this, he can be relied on at critical moments.
Well then, the bracelet is also connected to the dimensional warehouse. I took out a magic chainsaw from there. Since our opponent is a tree, I guess this is the one to use.

However, I swung my magic chainsaw down on the branch, cutting it off. I’ve been out on the field, so even with a chainsaw I’m confident.

At my feet is the utterly defeated Vinyl Tree as a log, now just a shadow of its former self. I mostly just needed the sap inside.
Well, I’ll put the cut Vinyl Tree in the warehouse for now.

And after that, we searched the forest for Vinyl Trees and defeated them as we went around. Along the way, we were attacked by a wolf-type monster, but it ran away on its own after I made a “brum-brum” sound with the chainsaw.
I didn’t chase the wolf-type monster since their meat isn’t very tasty, and they’re not suitable as building materials. It would have been terrifying for them to be chased around by an architect wielding a chainsaw.
Then, after defeating Vinyl Trees and processing them over and over again, I accidentally left the logs rolling around all over the place. Seeing this much is really a spectacular sight.

”Yep, now that that’s over, this is where I really show what my architecture magic is made of.”
I returned to the prefab and went into the underground workshop. This prefab incorporates a lot of my architectural techniques. It can alter its shape to some extent.
I made a long and narrow groove there in the manufacturing room. Then I poured the sap I extracted from the logs into it. With this, the preparations are done. Here we go.

I also got the joints in various L and T shapes. The vinyl pipes and joints make use of mana joining, which works by joining then closely together by manipulating mana.

Uni nods in understanding. The water supply pipe is 25mm and the drainage pipe is 50mm. The drainage pipes ar thicker than the water suply pipes because they flow along a natural gradient. The diameter of both pipes will be reduced when they go into the prefab.
For the sewage pathway, I also made inspection boxes at the same time. It’ll be placed at fixed intervals at a calculated slope.
Now then, next is to dig up some of the soil and bury the pipes, but before that, there’s something we need to do. A geological survey.
”Uni. Can I leave it to you?”

Then Uni placed his hands on the ground, and a bluish-white light spread out. Uni is a fairy blessed by the earth. That’s why he can channel magic power to examine the geological features.
There are ways to do it without Uni, but Uni is more reliable.

Alright. I changed the bracelet into a magic excavator. It’s a magic vehicle with an arm like frame and a basket-shaped bucket attached at its end. The wheel section has a continuous track, which uses a grooved belt wrapped around the wheels.
This bucket part is like the mouth of a magic beast, and is used to dig up the ground. It also has a feature that allows it to change into various shapes via sorcery techniques. For no particular reason, it’s my favourite magic construction machine, one I’d call heavy machinery.
Well, there isn’t really any heavy machinery I hate.
”The route will be like this for now. Uni can connect and bury the pipes once I’ve dug.”

Uni clenched his fists cutely and made a “Gu-” sound, full of vigour. And then an Uni-lookalike clone rose from the ground. This is Uni’s specialty magic. And this is also precisely why Uni alone was enough help when doing everything in the royal capital.
The heavy machinery will excavate the ground with a clanging sound, and Uni and the clones will lay the pipes. As we were thinking about that — the ground rises up with a pop, and immediately after, cute creatures suddenly show their faces.
