Lu Shijin became curious again and clicked on it after some hesitation.
When he saw what was under the scale, his jaw dropped.
Shit, how is it that big? Is it still human?!
Oh right, merpeople aren’t human.
Lu Shijin soon closed the picture, but he couldn’t forget what was in the picture.
He laid listlessly on the bed, he needed a brain that didn’t remember that!

And then, those eggs cracked to become merpeople, surrounding him and continuously calling him “daddy, daddy,” it was really creepy!
“Don’t come! Don’t come! Go away! Go away!” Lu Shijin waved his hands around while still asleep, like trying to shoo something away.
He only woke up from the nightmare when he heard a bunch of knocking at the door.
He reflexively touched his forehead and found a lot of cold sweat on it. Then, he looked at his abdomen, finding that the round thing there didn’t change, and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He couldn’t continue doing this.
Lu Shijin gritted his teeth. He needed a way to have Jun Yu take away Jun Li quickly to end these nightmarish days.
“What’s the matter, why are you here so early?” Lu Shijin got out of bed and opened the door. He wasn’t surprised to see Jun Yu there.
Jun Yu’s expression was bad, seeming to have just gotten out of bed himself, “You’ve been screaming the entire night, didn’t you realize?”
Merpeople had exceptional hearing, and Lu Shijin and Jun Yu’s rooms were only separated by a wall, so Jun Yu heard all of his sleep talk.
Lu Shijin secretly rolled his eyes. If it weren’t for you, how would I have had nightmares!
But he still put an apologetic expression on his face, “Sorry I bothered your rest, I’ll pay more attention in the future. Is there anything else? If not, then I want to change first.”
Jun Yu said coldly, “There is something.”
Lu Shijin kept his smile. “Please continue.”
Jun Yu asked expressionlessly, “When are you planning on exposing Shen Shao to Jun Li?”
“Do you think he’ll believe me if I go to him right now?” Lu Shijin said, “We have no proof right now, why would Jun Li believe me?”
Jun Yu looked at Lu Shijin as though looking at something worthless. “Can’t you think of a way?”
Lu Shijin kept smiling, but the hand he had behind the door was turning white from the force he was using.
Disgusting fish, mark my words, you’ll pay me back for this someday!
“Yes.” Lu Shijin gritted out. “I am thinking.”
Jun Yu kept leaning against the door, his arms crossed as he waited for Lu Shijin to think.
But he didn’t seem to hold high expectations and even yawned a couple times.
“I’ve got it!” Lu Shijin suddenly declared. Jun Yu calmly replied, “What did you think of?”
Lu Shijin’s eyes sparkled. “Doesn’t Shen Shao want to use Jun Li to cure himself? What if there was another way to cure him? Since Shen Shao doesn’t even like Jun Li, then he obviously wouldn’t want to be with Jun Li anymore! That would also make Jun Li realize what Shen Shao’s like, don’t you agree?”
Jun Yu frowned in thought. He seemed to agree with Lu Shijin’s logic, so he looked at him with interest. “Continue.”
“So, all we need to do is cure Shen Shao!”
Jun Yu smiled, his eyes mocking. “He’s incurable, it won’t be easy.”

In Shen Shao’s laboratory, all of the researchers there were working overtime to find new drugs.
Shen Shao’s life pretty much only consisted of going to his company during the day, and being in the lab at all other times.
Before, this was his only chance at survival. However, now, he had another chance: the merperson.
Shen Shao once had a conversation with one of the top doctors in the field, who told him of a new discovery.
Merpeople had long lifespans because their blood had a unique substance that allowed it to be the case.
If they could take that from their blood and turn it into a medicine, then humans could also live that long.
But it was difficult to find merpeople, much less their blood, so the doctor couldn’t verify it.
But after knowing about this, Shen Shao began secretly looking for merpeople.
But they lived in the deep sea and were hard to come across.
Moreover, no matter their gender, merpeople were very strong and would definitely fight back. They’d rather die than be an experimental subject.
That’s why Shen Shao found nothing after searching for so long.
