If anyone mentioned that, he would kill them right away.
Even if that dark magician belonged to his school.
It was because of the fact that he hadnât reached the 7th class yet.
And Jamie had just spouted the forbidden word.
âHaaaâŚ!â
Venna looked at Jamie in a puzzled expression.
Jamie was smiling brightly.
Gav had a manic expression.
Despite being with him for 10 years, Venna wasnât sure if she would have the courage to ever anger him.
One wrong word, and Gav could turn horrible.
Feeling Vennaâs gaze, Jamie glanced at her and said.
âLook carefully.â.
Back Mana started flowing from Jamieâs body.
âLetâs look at his skills first.â
He managed to provoke the man, but the opponent was a 6th class dark magician.
In addition, Gav must have accumulated a lot of experience while practicing dark magic for years.
Despite not being in 7th class, he was a powerhouse to be reckoned with.
Jamie commanded the undead soldiers.
âKill him.â
The Undead moved with Raiza and Azad in the lead.
Anger was boiling in Gavâs eyes as he looked at the Undead.
âI will show you terrible despair!â
Adding to the despising words he had just heard, Gav wanted to receive compensation for the loss of his tools.
To do that, he had to defeat the kid.
Gav didnât think that it was difficult.
âCurse and poison donât work on Undead.â
Holy power was their ultimate counter, but that was impossible for a dark magician to use.
However, the Undead had another weak point.
Gav loaded Mana into the cobra staff and hit it on the ground. Scarlet flames erupted from the cobraâs snout.
[Burning Snake]
The flames spewing out of the staff turned into a ferocious snake.
[Split]
The Burning Snake split into several ones and increased in number.
9 of them.
[Hydra]
It took the form of a mythical monster covered in flames and swept the undead soldiers.
Jamie grinned as he watched that.
âHydra.â
A name he hadnât heard in a long time.
The nine-headed venomous snake that even the heroes were scared of.
It was the magic of a 6th class magician.
So the current undead soldiers couldnât handle it.
However, Jamie had a different idea.
âOpen!â
Azad gave the call.
He ordered the dead to avoid the snakes that were rushing in.
âFollow me and approach the enemy!â
âThe rest will protect Master with me!â
Raiza gave the following order.
He slashed a Burning Snakeâs head and stood in front of Jamie with another three Undead.
âWhy are you here?â
âThere was nothing to do inside that gate.â
At Raizaâs words, Jamie smiled.
He actually hadnât summoned Azad and Raiza.
However, it looked like they had trained the Undead within the Gate.
They took over the commander role. As members of a former criminal organization, they were sloppy, but as people experienced with recruiting subordinates, the command system didnât seem bad.
âThere! There! Donât run around and predict the movements!â
Azad gave the order.
Two Undead barely avoided the Burning Snakes.
Even though the Undead werenât supposed to understand it, they moved according to the order.
âRight!â
Azad yelled with excitement and satisfaction.
A snake head coming for him was blocked by an undeadâs body. Since it was an Undead, the effect was effective.
Azad jumped to Gav, using the backs of the Undead as stepping stones.
Conversely, after taking in Jamieâs black Mana for a week inside the Reverse heaven, he was able to easily hold a dagger with energy.
âXoming!â
Azad slashed the dagger at Gav with all his might.
Gav looked a little shocked too, but the dagger didnât reach him.
âShieldâŚ!â
âYou are an interesting Undead. But that attack doesnât reach me.â
The flames from the staff increased.
They were about to swallow Azad, but the close-by Undead covered him and pushed Gav.
Seizing the opportunity, Azad turned his body quickly and took the stance to kick.
Thud!!
Gavâs eyes widened as he saw a dent in his shield.
A thick crack appeared.
The shield was almost broken.
This Undead wasnât a Death Knight or Dullahan, but still strong and unique.
âBut how is the shield crackeâŚ?â
The shield wasnât weak enough to get cracked in one hit.
He was angry.
To be subjected to humiliation by a single Undead.
Black Mana, concentrated for many years, flowed through Gavâs body. It was an energy formed after taking away countless lives in horrendous ways.
Jamie narrowed his eyes. It wasnât black Mana. Black Mana was never that horrible.
âYou trash!â
Kwang!
A black wave flew to Azad and the other Undead.
Raiza and the others who were standing to protect Jamie, were pushed back by the wave.
Jamie was the only one who stood still, feeling Gavâs power.
âHe is strong.â
The gap was clear.
The difference was one class, but Gav was at the peak of the 6th class.
A black glow shone in Gavâs eyes.
âYou crossed a line you shouldnât have. This is unacceptable!â
A dark magician, nicknamed Curse Master, walked towards Jamie.
âI wonât kill you right away.â
At that, Jamie smiled and ordered the Undead.
âEveryone go back.â
âM-master! We still can fight.â
âGive us another chancâŚâ
Azad and Raiza asked, but Jamie shook his head.
Their rapid growth was indeed shocking, but they wouldnât win against Gav.
âYou did good. Now go back and rest.â
The Masterâs orders were absolute.
Without saying anything, the two bowed to Jamie and went into the Gate of Reverse heaven.
The Gate closed, the chain creaked.
After the Gates closed, Jamie took a huge breath.
âMaybe you would have had a chance if you sacrificed them.â
Gav provoked, but Jamie didnât respond.
He only raised his black Mana.
While Azad and Raiza were fighting, he took the time to gather Mana.
And as he restored the Mana he lost in the previous battle, he was ready.
His emerald eyes turned purple.
âBlack.â
Black spread out its wings.
And soon went into Jamie's body.
By fully assimilating the power of Black into his body, the output would increase.
âNow, should we start?â
Jamieâs black Mana was pushing Gavâs black Mana.
Gav looked at Jamie in disbelief.
âWhat is that mana?â
A dark magician's Mana was filthy and disgusting to look at. It was a power accumulated by harming others.
That was how Jamieâs black Mana should feel, but Gav couldnât feel filth in Jamieâs Mana.
âIt puts the mind at ease.â
He remembered the time when he was in his motherâs arms, a mother he couldnât even remember now.
Those were the memories he had discarded, so why was he remembering them now?
âThis is bad.â
He couldnât let himself get fascinated by it.
âNo. I need to kill him and study that strange black Mana.â
Now that he saw the black Mana, Jamie wasnât a potential companion but a subject to be experimented on.
There was no longer a reason to delay the battle.
âI will crash his confidence.â
Jamieâs ability to call the Undead was great, but that was all.
Other than that, Jamie seemed to be on the same level as Salom.
So Gav wasnât worried.
He wasnât, until something started to move in front of his eyes.
âWhat is this slow reaction?â
A voice came from close by.
The figure of the opponent couldnât be seen in the fog.
Which meant that the opponent was messing with his mind.
âDifferent from Salom.â
Gav chuckled and raised his staff.
âKuakâ
He groaned.
His brain felt like it was being crushed.
And the fog disappeared like a lie.
He forcibly pulled back his consciousness from the opponent.
âYou are tough!â
Jamie smiled as he watched Gav come back.
The pain must have been indescribable.
Nevertheless, to have done such a thing without hesitation meant that he experienced it once or twice.
Which meant this man played with his own mind.
It was definite that he didnât get the title of Curse Master for nothing. However, the attack did the job.
âStill, you arenât careful enough.â
Ugh!
A zombie suddenly approached and bit the right thigh of Gav.
The flesh was ripped off.
Gav frowned.
In that brief moment, when the fog was lifted, the Undead was resummoned.
âThis is fun.â
He succeeded in countering the mental magic, and dealt with the sudden attack too.
The opponent had excellent skills to narrow the gap.
âIf you arenât careful I will eat you up.â
âI think it would be better if you didnât say those words.â
Gavâs eyes widened.
He was supposed to be standing in the labs.
But nowâŚ
âAbyss.â
Curse was, after all, black magic that stimulates the mind.
And Gav was a dark magician with excellent skills.
But he kept getting hit by the opponentâs mental magic.
More fun.
Gav grinned and looked at the purple eyes.
âIs this all?â
[Is this all, you ask?]
Devoured by fear and death.
All kinds of monstrous creatures began to rise within the Abyss.
His five senses began to fade.
His vision blurred, his skin turned numb, and his body got paralyzed.
âHmm.â
Great Abyss.
Creating an Abyss was difficult even for a 6th class.
âThis should be enough.â
Gav lost most of his senses, but he still raised the staff.
Jamie mumbled seeing that.
âIt directly interferes with the brain but he still moves.â
A fantastic skill, but it was too late.
[Curse of Dark Spear]
A spear of darkness was shot at Gav.
However, the location suddenly changed.
ââŚ!â
Jamie managed to dodge at the last moment.
Kwang!
The spear that was supposed to pierce Gav, pierced the wall behind Jamie and caused an explosion.
In an instant, a part of the wall in the hallway disappeared without a trace.
Jamie smiled as he looked at the Abyss.
A prison he had created was stolen from him.
And Gavâs voice was heard.
[Accept the Curse, this is quite a difficult black magic.]
âSending me into my own Abyss⌠not impossible, especially since he is in a higher state than me.â
This was possible if the opponent had enough time to grasp the situation, attributes, and composition.
And all that was done by Gav in a short time.
The man wasnât even a Great Magician, but he did it.
The man who clung to the curse magic all his life.
[Cry desperately. Iâll see you outside.]
The monster within Abyss was approaching.
The five senses were blurred.
To get out, Jamie would have to use the same method. But now, it would take up too much Mana.
Even if he succeeded, there wouldnât be any mana left to battle afterwards, and then the Curse would strike again.
Jamie was unable to see, hear or feel. But his expression didnât falter.
âOnly one chance?â
With his current Mana, it was impossible to aim for two attacks.
And that was enough.
âThe timing.â
Black Mana was sent into his mind.
He was beginning to feel awake.
The method Gav used. There was no way Jamie couldnât do it. But he didnât wake himself right away.
He planned on waiting a little longer.
âI will definitely get the chance.â
The anger that Gav showed when his pride was snatched.
Jamie pretended to be calm, but the moment Gav would decide that he was above Jamie, he would make a mistake again.
And then the time came.
Gav looked at Jamie.
He laughed at the thought of making Jamie trapped in his own Abyss.
But that didnât seem enough.
After all, the Abyss was created by Jamie to kill Gav in the first place.
It was annoying. And Jamie was a smart one.
âIâll destroy his mind. And then use him!â
Gav smiled.
The ultimate Curse he spent a lot of time on, but never used it.
He will carve that into Jamieâs body.
[Consider this an honor. This is a great curse that I have worked on for decades. You will be able to see it.]
A weird language began to flow from Gavâs mouth.
It seemed as if everything in the world vanished.
Black magic accumulated for decades.
[Aesthetics of Slow]
[You will fall into eternity within a moment now.]
A second split into ten, and then a time flowed a hundred times slower.
Cognitive dissonance of everything.
A supernatural phenomenon occurring in reality.
Even though it was just one second, can a human ever endure a time split?
âThis is my ultimate curse!â
Among the curses made by Gav, this was the most horrifying one.
No matter how strong the opponent was, if they fall for the âAesthetics of Slowâ, they will turn crazy.
The Abyss was of no use anymore.
In the never-ending second, all the values that the person had would vanish.
âWhere should we go now?â
There wasnât time to head to his lab.
At this point, he wanted to experiment. To thoroughly dissect the body and see the black ManaâŚ
âWhat are you doing?â
Gav was about to put his hand on Jamie when his hand went stiff.
A voice from above.
âWhat are you doing?â
âYouâŚ. HowâŚ?â
Gavâs eyes trembled.
His Curse was a success. The guy should have been locked in time, and unable to do anything anymore.
So why was the kid looking down at him as if he was a bug?
âDoes that do any good?â
Jamie chuckled.
âLet's get rid of that ugly face of yours.â
Bang!!!
5th class magic [Explosion] right in Gavâs face.
