Tensei Ouji Wa Daraketai Chapter 1.5

New chapter? False alarm… 🐰 *sigh*
Status: Will Edit
Next>> According to the picture book, the alphabets in this kingdom have 46 characters. The characters of the alphabet have similar shapes, but the vowels and constants are not separate, like hiragana, it seems one character is pronounced at a time. When thinking that way, it becomes easy to understand.
I was really grateful specially since all characters were illustrated one by one.
The problem is how to read the character attached to each illustration, but I understand them (characters) to some extent. After all, the other day, I played a game with Alphonse-niisan where we called on the name of the illustrations. 1
Even so, if I can’t read the characters, then I can still do so by comparing illustrations. From that, I decided on my analogy.
Alright, since I understand how to read the forty six characters, as a test, let’s see if I can read the title of this book.
「It’s easy to understand」
Whoaー ! I can read it ! The sentence structure is also like Japanese. The sentence「Who did what ?」seems to be in order. I’m saved.
Since there are no kanji, it's nice that the sentences are composed of hiragana only. Then, if I remember the 46 characters, I will clear「Reading」. t/n: He uses clear like that screen you get when you clear a level in a game or something. So it's "goal clear"! lol
I will memorize the characters through「Drawing」. I will compare the characters to the Japanese alphabets of similar forms.
Practice is necessary, however, I can somehow come up with the characters.
Also, something else I’m worried about is, where is this ? …… That’s right.
I took the scrolls which looked like a world map into my hands. On the map, the location of this kingdom was marked.
「…… As expected」
Let alone Japan, even America, Russia, China, and the UK …… There is no such familiar country. On the papers, a world map I never saw before was drawn.
Ahー…… Hmmー. This, it’s probably that, isn’t it.
「A different world …… I came to one huh」
Ha …… Hahaha.
I look at the world map again. But the result was the same.
Well, I was aware of it though. Reason 1, the letters and language from before. In my memories of earth, it was rare for languages to use characters and pronunciations that are similar to hiragana. Reason 2, this country’s garments.
In this world …… Or rather in this country, maids, gardeners, and others are all lightly dressed. But as a person of noble status, I am dressed like someone from the middle ages.
Reason 3, there are no traces of my previous life’s civilization.
I never saw any electric systems. Even for lights, lamps and candles are used.
No matter the circumstances, did such a country even exist in this kind of age ? Even the clothes are embroidered and fluttery and are not functional, if such a country existed, it would have definitely been reported in Japan's news.
That’s why, I somehow thought that was the case. That this is different from my previous world. I didn’t want to believe it though.
Japan, a beautiful country surrounded by civilization.
Electricity, refrigerators, and internet in cars and on TV, and the indispensable mobile phone for modern children !
They don't know that world, so the people here are happy. But in my case, since I know that world full of comfort, I will definitely seek convenience no matter what. I …… I quickly lost heart.
Next>> 1 I believe this is a game where there is a set of cards with illustrations and an associated name/letter. Something like this probably:
