After such incidents, we safely arrived in the town of Ordarion.
āIt looks prettyā¦normal.ā
At least, from what I could see on the outside.
The town was surrounded in walls, but that wasnāt unusual, as it protected them from monsters.
ā¦It did not seem like the kind of town that would cause the rain to fall in order to send a Fire Dragon out to attack another town.
I wondered about this as I got off of the Proud Wolf.
āIāll wait here then!ā
The Proud Wolf said as he rushed towards the forest.
As people would get scared if I took him into town, he always waited outside.
āWelcome to Ordarion.ā
As I walked towards the town, the guards that stood on both sides of the gate greeted me.
ā¦There were usually guards stationed near gatesā¦but they usually didnāt talk to me.
It seemed like these guards were very passionate about their job.
I said as I continued on my way.
Just thenāI felt eyes turn towards me from several directions.
It wasnāt because I was sensitive to such things.
It was because the slimes on my shoulder were wild animals, and had sharp senses.
And they were telling me that people were watching us.
They werenāt exactly turning their heads, but their eyes followed usā¦
āā¦So it wasnāt just a rumor. They really do monitor each other here.ā
āTheyāre all staring at us!ā
āIsnāt it strange?ā
It didnāt seem hostileā¦but it was strange to be stared at when you were just walking down the street.
In any case, I continued to move through the town.
I would pay the guild a visit first.
āā¦The guild seems pretty normal as well.ā
I arrived in front of the guild without incident.
Fewer eyes seemed to follow us the further we got from the gateā¦ Still, I was sure that we were still being watched.
Regardlessā¦I should check the Rainmaking Device within the guild.
I would have the slimes sneak in.
Butā¦I couldnāt unleash the slimes while people were monitoring me.
Perhapsā¦I should leave it to a detached force.
āTeam Proud Wolf. I want a few of you to come over here and sneak into the guild.ā
About 70% of the slimes were on my shoulder.
However, I always kept some with the Proud Wolf in case of an emergency.
And so I told them to infiltrate the building.
And so several slimes jumped off of the Proud Wolfās back.
As now all of the slimes recognized such missions as ones where āthey could eat delicious meat,ā they were always happy to comply.
Though, at first, they had ended up fighting over who could goā¦it seemed that the slimes had now set up an order for who went on missions, and so they no longer argued.
However, the slimes were quite slow. So it would take time for them to arrive.
And so I decided to look at the quests in the guild in the meantime.
I thought this as I opened the door.
āWelcome to the Ordarion guild!ā
The men behind the counters shouted as soon as I stepped in.
In the other towns, there were usually more womenā¦but there were only men in the Ordarion guild.
Andā¦they all looked very strong.
Not necessarily like Adventurers who were tall and muscular.
You might think they were normal at a glanceā¦but my instincts after having fought many battles were telling me that they were strong.
āOh! They look strong!ā
āThese guild workers are different!ā
Even the slimes seemed to agree.
ā¦I doubted these guild workers would ever have to fight, so why did they seem so strong?
I wondered about this as I turned to the quest board.
Just then, I realized that something felt wrong.
And it only took me a secondā¦to figure out what it was.
