After the ambush succeeded, Guan Dahai was ecstatic. After controlling the fishing boat to escape, he hid behind a small island and started drinking and celebrating with Wang An. Guan Dahai had never been this happy before. The long-suppressed emotions erupted, not only injuring several of Hailong's men but also killing Liu Yong'an. Thinking about this, Guan Dahai couldn't help but laugh out loud, pulling Wang An to drink more. After drinking too much, he fell asleep on the deck. When Guan Dahai woke up, it was already late at night. He originally wanted to return to shore, but Wang An, who had already sobered up and cleaned up, said to Guan Dahai, "Boss, we can't go back. This morning, you basically sent Liu Yong'an to the underworld. Think about it, how much Hailong and his men must hate you. They might be waiting for you at your doorstep right now. Let's stay on the boat for the night."
Guan Dahai thought it made sense. After sobering up, he realized he had killed someone. But then he thought, if he had killed, so be it. He had given so much money to the bureau chief every year; he wasn't afraid of anyone. The only thing to worry about was Hailong's revenge, especially Liu Yongquan. He had broken his father's legs and killed his brother. Liu Yongquan must be hating him to the core. Guan Dahai thought angrily, "If you dare to go out to sea tomorrow, I'll kill you too, and let your brothers reunite in the underworld."
To ensure his safety, he had to be cautious about their revenge. Guan Dahai asked, "What should we do now?"
Wang An grinned and said, "Boss, don't you have many followers? They used to bully the small fishing village with you. They pushed you out to take the blame for them, and now they all want to run away. It's not that easy. Call them back and promise to continue paying them. If the people from the small fishing village come to seek revenge, they can help you bear the pressure, right?"
Guan Dahai thought it made sense and said with a wicked smile, "You're right. They all treated me as their boss back then, making me take the blame while they enjoyed the benefits. Now that I have a problem, they all act like cowards. I'll find them and make them come on the boat to be my shield." He did just that. That night, Guan Dahai gathered these people. After being his boss for over a decade and with his cousin as a deterrent, no one dared to refuse. Guan Dahai picked over a dozen of his original followers who had bullied the small fishing village and left the others at home to wait for orders. He then set sail again, preparing to deal with Hailong and his men the next day.
Hailong and his men spent the night by Liu Yong'an's bedside. Early in the morning, Liu Yongquan and others left the hospital to prepare in the fishing village. Hailong was supposed to go with them, but Liu Yongquan and others pushed him back. This time, Liu Yongquan and Liu Chenglong firmly opposed Hailong's participation, insisting that Hailong stay behind because he was too weak and couldn't fight. For a boy from the fishing village, fighting was a daily occurrence, but for Hailong, who spent his days reading, it wasn't his strong suit. Liu Yongquan said, "Hailong, you're just a burden." Seeing Liu Yongquan's determined look, Hailong hit him on the head and said, "Don't act rashly when I'm not around. Discuss everything with the other brothers before making any decisions. I'll wait for your news at school. Notify me immediately if there's any update." Liu Yongquan, rubbing his sore head, nodded, making everyone laugh, easing the tense atmosphere.
Hailong then said to everyone, "As long as Guan Dahai lives, we won't have peace. Think about how he and his men robbed your parents' hard-earned money, how they beat your families, and how he is now trying to ruin your hard-won lives. Look at Liu Yong'an. If it weren't for him, how many of you would still be standing here unharmed? For your own sake and for Liu Yong'an, go and kill Guan Dahai." Everyone was enraged by Hailong's words, clenching their fists and nodding fiercely. Led by Liu Yongquan, they returned to the fishing village to prepare. Hailong went back to the classroom to attend class.
It was Friday, the day for general education classes. Seeing it was still early, Hailong took a walk around the campus to ease his tension. Now, Hailong felt like a coach at the beginning of a soccer match, with the players and strategies all set. All he could do was sit on the bench and watch his team perform.
Sitting on a bench in the campus, he looked up at the sky. The weather was very overcast, with thick clouds covering the entire sky. The occasional autumn breeze made people tighten their clothes. Hailong lowered his head, feeling anxious, wondering if Guan Dahai would follow his plan and come to ambush them. He hoped everything would go as planned.
Checking the time, he saw it was time for class. He brushed off the leaves on his clothes, got up, and went to the classroom. It was Friday, and after two general education classes in the morning and two in the afternoon, the day's classes would be over. The general education classroom was a large lecture hall that could seat hundreds of people. Students chose these classes based on their interests. Hailong had chosen a less popular subject because no one would bother him if he slept. He found a secluded corner in the classroom, preparing to pretend to sleep and control the Dragon King to observe the situation. The outcome of today would determine the success of Hailong's plan and whether he could avenge his family. As he entered the classroom, he saw Hu Jing sitting in the first row. Surprised that she had chosen the same class, he couldn't help but smile. Hu Jing also saw Hailong, smiled, and greeted him, asking curiously, "Are you taking this class too?"
Seeing Hu Jing's curious expression, Hailong chuckled and said, "Yes, I'm taking this class. Are you too?"
Hu Jing nodded, and they chatted for a while. Although Hailong wanted to sit next to Hu Jing and chat to build a closer relationship, he had important matters to attend to. After greeting Hu Jing, he went to the last row by the window.
The weather was very overcast, and a heavy rain was expected. A sea breeze brought a chill, and Wang An tightened his clothes, hiding in a house in the fishing village, secretly watching Liu Yongquan and his men prepare the fishing nets for the sea. Wang An didn't dare follow Liu Yongquan and his men but observed from the house. If Liu Yongquan and his men took the nets to the beach, it meant they were going out to sea. When Wang An saw Liu Yongquan and over a dozen men carrying nets toward the beach, he called Guan Dahai, who was hiding behind the island.
Liu Yongquan and his men took the nets and headed for the fishing boats on the beach. As Liu Yongquan walked on the sand, he suddenly felt someone watching him. He turned around cautiously but saw nothing, only the empty house of Guan Dahai. Wait... Wasn't Guan Dahai's house supposed to be empty? Why were the windows open?
Liu Yongquan kept his eyes on the windows of Guan Dahai's house, thinking that Hailong had warned him earlier that they might be under surveillance. He understood that if Guan Dahai wanted to ambush them, he would definitely watch them. But he didn't expect Guan Dahai's men to be so bold as to monitor them right in front of his house. He thought coldly, "Once I deal with Guan Dahai, I'll kill you, his lackey, with my own hands." With that, he turned and continued leading his men to the beach.
Despite all the careful planning, an unexpected event occurred. Liu Yongquan's group was ready to go out to sea after hearing that Liu Zhenzhong and Liu Chenglong had boarded their boats, but Liu Chenglong's medium-sized fishing boat had engine trouble. Fortunately, the problem wasn't serious and could be fixed in about two hours. Liu Chenglong immediately called Liu Yongquan to inform him.
Hearing Liu Chenglong's news, Liu Yongquan was in a panic. With Liu Chenglong's boat out of commission, they couldn't continue to catch crabs. They had to wait for Liu Chenglong to fix the boat before going out to sea. Otherwise, a single medium-sized boat wouldn't be enough to stop Guan Dahai, let alone kill him. But he was being watched. How could he go back? In a moment of desperation, Liu Yongquan revealed the tip of a knife hidden in his sleeve and had his men cover him. He slashed a large hole in the fishing net. Seeing the confused looks on their faces, he signaled them to be quiet and shouted, "Oh no, the fishing net has a big hole. We didn't notice it earlier. This will delay our earning money. Let's take it back and repair it." Then he led them back to the yard.
Liu Yongquan deliberately slowed down to give Liu Chenglong and Liu Zhenzhong time to prepare. They dawdled until it was almost noon before finishing the repairs.
Wang An, seeing Liu Yongquan and his men return, suspected he might have been exposed. But when he saw the damaged net, he realized it was just a repair issue. He immediately called Guan Dahai to inform him of the situation. Guan Dahai, who was about to set sail, didn't suspect anything and continued drinking and celebrating, cursing Liu Yongquan for being incompetent.
By noon, Liu Chenglong had fixed his boat and was in position. Liu Yongquan immediately led his men out of the house and headed for the beach. Seeing Liu Yongquan and his men really leave, Wang An called Guan Dahai again.
Sure enough, as soon as Liu Yongquan's small fishing boat reached the sea, Guan Dahai's medium-sized boat appeared. From a distance, Guan Dahai stood on the deck, shouting and gesturing wildly at Liu Yongquan, looking extremely arrogant. It had started to drizzle. Seeing Guan Dahai, Liu Yongquan's eyes turned red with rage, and he coldly watched the approaching boat.
Just as Guan Dahai's boat was about 50 meters from Liu Yongquan's, another boat suddenly emerged from the side, Liu Chenglong's boat. Caught off guard, Guan Dahai's boat was hit hard by Liu Chenglong's, but both were iron boats and couldn't do much damage to each other.
Once Guan Dahai regained his balance, he angrily ordered his men to ignore Liu Chenglong's boat and focus on ramming Liu Yongquan's small boat, determined to sink it. But just then, another medium-sized boat, Liu Zhenzhong's, appeared beside Liu Yongquan. Liu Zhenzhong's boat came alongside Liu Yongquan's, and Liu Yongquan and his men immediately jumped aboard, turning the boat to ram Guan Dahai's head-on.
Liu Chenglong's boat, having recovered, also rammed Guan Dahai from behind. Guan Dahai, determined to sink Liu Yongquan's boat, used his numerical advantage. When the three boats collided, everyone was thrown off balance. Liu Yongquan and his men, better prepared, quickly regained their balance. Liu Yongquan immediately pulled out a long knife hidden in his sleeve and shouted, "Brothers, the time for revenge has come. Kill!" He led the first group of men to jump onto Guan Dahai's boat.
Liu Chenglong, not to be outdone, also pulled out a long knife and shouted, "Brothers, today is either you or me. For our future, kill!" He led his men to jump onto Guan Dahai's boat. Guan Dahai, seeing Liu Yongquan and the fishermen from the small village jump onto his boat with long knives, panicked and frantically ordered his men to hold them off. But his men, unwilling to fight for him, screamed and fled on the boat.
The fishermen from the small village hated Guan Dahai's men with a passion. These were the same thugs who had bullied their families. If not for them, their parents wouldn't have had to work away from home, and their families wouldn't be so poor. With a clear target, Liu Yongquan and his 23 brothers pulled out their long knives and began a frenzied attack on everyone on Guan Dahai's boat. When Guan Dahai saw one of his top four men killed by Liu Yongquan, he knew he was going to die. Terrified, he sat on the deck, his legs trembling as he tried to move away from Liu Yongquan. But he saw another of his men being cut down by Liu Chenglong and thrown into the sea. Trapped, Guan Dahai was completely broken.
Meanwhile, Hailong, controlling the Dragon King, was hiding in the nearby sea, using radar to monitor the situation.
Seeing the people on the boat, Hailong's hatred grew. These were the same men who had destroyed his mother's shop. Hailong would never forget their faces. Already enraged, Hailong transformed and swam toward Guan Dahai's boat. Many of Guan Dahai's men had been cut down and thrown into the sea, struggling desperately. Hailong swam to the one who had been the most vicious in destroying his mother's shop. This man was struggling in the water when he suddenly saw a dark shadow. Opening his eyes, he screamed in terror. A two-meter-long, half-meter-wide creature with blood-red eyes and a gaping mouth full of sharp teeth appeared before him. Before he could scream again, the Dragon King bit into his neck, and with a powerful bite, his head rolled into the sea, staining the water red.
The storm was intensifying, and the rain began to pour. Lightning split the sky, and thunder rumbled. The dark sea seemed to have entered an endless night. The men on the boat were fighting fiercely, and the sounds of battle filled the air. No one noticed the occasional scream from the sea, especially with the thunder drowning out other sounds. Hailong, in a frenzy, controlled the Dragon King to bite the necks of all of Guan Dahai's men who fell into the sea, and their heads rolled into the water. The intense fighting on the boat prevented anyone from noticing the situation in the sea. The rain slowed Liu Yongquan and his men, and the water splashed on Guan Dahai's face, bringing him back to his senses. Seeing his last few men about to be killed, he suddenly jumped into the sea and tried to escape. Liu Yongquan and his men, in a killing frenzy, didn't notice someone had jumped into the sea. When Liu Yongquan threw the last resistor into the sea, he realized Guan Dahai was gone and shouted, "Where's Guan Dahai?" Liu Zhenzhong, quick to notice, pointed to the sea and said, "Guan Dahai jumped into the sea and escaped. Let's chase him."
Just as everyone was about to return to their boats to chase Guan Dahai, a huge wave appeared on the sea. A two-meter-long, half-meter-wide creature suddenly leaped out of the water and appeared before Guan Dahai, roaring fiercely. Guan Dahai, thinking he had escaped, was terrified. He screamed, seemingly on the brink of collapse. The creature then bit into Guan Dahai's neck and, with a powerful thrust, threw his body out of the water. Before Guan Dahai could fall back into the sea, the creature used its strength to sever his head, leaving a look of terror on his face. Hailong, now in a killing frenzy, had lost control of his body. His eyes bloodshot, he slowly approached Liu Yongquan and his men, his terrifying gaze and sharp fangs frightening them to the core.
Just then, Hailong felt his body being shaken, and a sweet, fresh voice reached his ears. He heard someone shouting, "Hailong, Hailong, wake up."
