This is probably the largest bee Angel has ever seen, about two meters or so.
The bee is dressed like a little nurse in a childâs playhouse game, even wearing a pink hat with a red heart on it.
However, it has none of the tools a nurse would use, nor is it flying in midair like other bees; instead, it uses its forelimbs to hold a hoe for tilling the soil, and its waist and abdominal limbs hold a pink bag with a heart drawn on it, seemingly a seed bag; the two antennae on its head carry a basin filled with pink creek water.
At first glance, it looks more like a farming⌠farmer.
When Angel saw this hardworking bee, he instinctively wanted to avoid it. After all, from its attire, Angel could roughly guess that it was definitely intelligent.
Yet when Angel discovered it, the beeâs antennae carrying the water basin twitched, and its head turned 180 degrees to look at Angel behind it.
The small and large pairs of eyes looked at each other.
If it were other wizards, they would probably already have raised various spell shields to fight the bee. Angel, in fact, initially had this thought too, but he was very clear that now he was in the heartland of the Nightmare Realmâs creatures, and fighting them would definitely be disadvantageous for him.
Currently, Angelâs only advantage is Shavaâs identity. So if he wants to navigate out of the relics filled with deceit and danger without fighting, he can only rely on this identity.
Using Shavaâs identity to âdeceiveâ other Nightmare Realm creatures, showing cowardice or fighting are neither good choices.
Angel quietly retracted his steps that were about to retreat, and instead, he advanced, walking expressionlessly towards the bee.
Angel looked calm, but after all, this bee was not like the Fox Lyrist or the Frog Crooner, which he had never seen before, so he was still somewhat apprehensive. In his mindâs space, the model of The Gate of Void was already glowing brightly, ready to flicker back at any surprise.
Fortunately, no surprises occurred.
The bee was like an owl, its neck twisting 180 degrees, staring dazedly at Angel as he walked by. When Angel walked past it, its head turned slowly like a sunflower chasing the sun, continuing to watch Angel. Even so, its eyes were still very dazed, with no visible emotion.
He originally wanted to sense what emotions the bee had toward him. If it was malice, he needed to be cautious. Unexpectedly, it was such a situation.
âCould I be wrong? Is this not a high-intelligence creature?â Angel glanced at the bee from the corner of his eye, with its dumb expression looking like a mentally deranged simpleton.
Although he did not sense the beeâs emotions, Angel observed that the bee was indeed farming.
It dug a pit in front, and before the pit was filled, the contents inside were visible. However, it was not planting vegetables but mycelium packed inside the seed bag. At this moment, those strands of mycelium swayed in the pit, like hair blown by the wind.
âCould it be the gardener of the Mushroom Garden, responsible for cultivating mushrooms? It should know the way out then?â Angel speculated about its identity, âShould I ask it? But it doesnât seem too smart.â
As Angel was thinking this, suddenly the beeâs eyes widened, it raised its hoe abruptly, and swung it towards Angel.
Angel stopped in his tracks and made no moves. He neither resisted nor fled, just coldly watched the beeâs actions, allowing the hoe to fall half a meter in front of him.
Immediately, the bee released the hoe with its forelimbs, bent forward towards Angel, and stammered, âIt-it-it-itâs Lord Shava!â
While bowing to greet, the bee grabbed the escaping mycelium from in front of the hoe.
Watching the beeâs actions, the sound of drumming in Angelâs heart gradually eased up. Previously, seeing the bee swing the hoe, he did consider dodging. But upon observation, he found that the beeâs hoe would definitely not hit him but would strike the ground. At the same time, the mycelium previously planted in the pit was now running towards Angel. Angel calculated, the falling hoe could conveniently block the myceliumâs path.
From the bee bending down to pick up the mycelium, his guess was correct.
âPraise the moonlight, praise the Queen, and praise Shava!â the bee chanted words of praise, stuffing the mycelium back into the seed bag on its belly limb, âIt was the foolish Blairâs inattentiveness that nearly let the progeny of Mayo disturb your honor.â
Mayo? Is it referring to the mushrooms itâs planting? Havenât heard of this variety or is it a name given by the Nightmare Realm creatures themselves?
Angel set aside irrelevant thoughts, looking at the bee declaring itself as Blair in front of him.
At this moment, itâs emitting exceedingly clear waves of consciousness, causing a hint of surprise to rise in Angelâs heart. Earlier, he assumed the bee was an idiot, but it seems otherwise now.
For it to express itself so clearly, itâs undoubtedly a high-intelligence life form. But why did it appear so dazed before?
Angelâs mind shifted, speaking coldly, âI thought I encountered another Ollie, but it seems youâre at least more humble than that arrogant owl, and self-aware.â
Ollie, of course, does not refer to the maid of Pat Manor but to the green-feathered owl doll that self-proclaimed as Lord Ollie in Night Demon City.
Blair the bee heard Lord Shavaâs words and immediately thought of Ollieâs proud demeanor. It had seen Lord Ollie but had never spoken to it.
Lord Shava clearly wasnât calling it proud, judging from its action of turning its head to observe Lord Shava earlier, it was evidently calling it foolish.
âLord Shava, I-I-I just, just didnât expect to meet your esteemed self in Duling Garden.â Blair the bee stammered a bit, âBeing surprised, I didnât react at first.â
Angel nodded noncommittally, though his eyes flickered slightly.
This place is called Duling Garden?
Angel began scrutinizing Blair the bee, especially focusing on the green patterns constantly flashing in its right eye, looking very focused.
Blair, feeling somewhat at a loss, lowered its head, not understanding why Lord Shava would suddenly be looking at it so seriously.
âDo I know you?â Angel raised an eyebrow suddenly, âYou look somewhat familiar.â
A barely noticeable gleam of joy flashed in Blairâs eyes, âI once saw you at the Queenâs parade meeting. I didnât expect youâd actually remember me?â
Angel waved a hand, âItâs just that your outfit looks somewhat familiar. I was thinking maybe someone else wore such clothes.â
Blair froze for a moment, soon revealing a dejected expression.
