Actually, until now, they havenāt understood why Nightmare Realm creatures, after arriving at the Pamiji Plateau, didnāt continue to erode deeper but instead all gathered in these ruins.
Originally, they thought the Nightmare Realm creatures simply took this ruin as a base, but after occupying it, they didnāt expand outward, which doesnāt align with the purpose of a base.
Now, Sanders suggests that perhaps the Nightmare Realm creatures arenāt taking this ruin as a base but are trying to restore some native object within the ruins. This idea really makes sense.
"Regardless of whether what theyāre restoring is originally from the ruin, we can be certain that whatever the Nightmare Realm creatures want to restore must currently be inside the ruins," Rhein said, "What we need to consider now is, what exactly are they restoring? What potential dangers could this restored object pose?"
Tree Spirit sighed, "To find out what is being restored, weāll probably need to delve deeply into the ruins."
But itās difficult to delve into the ruins now, as itās filled with terrifying Nightmare Realm creatures, and combined with the ruinsā own strangeness, anyone who goes in practically disappears.
"Why donāt we letā¦" Tree Spirit turned his gaze to Angel, "let him stay in the ruins for a while; if he observes Nightmare Realm creatures, let him directly sense their emotions."
Tree Spirit did not address Angel by name because Ironclad Granny and Wallace were watching them. Even though Angelās identity was almost guessed by everyone, as long as Angel himself hadnāt torn down that facade, Tree Spirit wouldnāt proactively expose him.
Tree Spiritās suggestion is actually feasible. After all, none of them can communicate with the Nightmare Realm creatures, only Angel can.
Angel could glean important information just from residual emotions from days ago. If he could directly sense them, who knows what more he could uncover.
Although Rhein thought it was a good suggestion, it involved Angel, so it was up to him to decide.
Angel, without hesitation, nodded directly, "Okay."
Angel himself was curious about the state of the ruins, and since he wasnāt asked to fight the Nightmare Realm creatures, only to sense emotions, it was impossible for him to refuse.
Rhein: "Youāre in a special condition right now. How about this: you donāt need to stay in the ruins intentionally, just live where youāre supposed to. If something happens in the ruins, Iāll notify you right away."
Angel was still in a phase of self-settling, and being targeted by the Seed, staying in the ruins too long could expose him. Rhein didnāt plan to keep Angel there permanently.
If Nightmare Realm creatures truly appeared, with Rheinās ability, he could quickly notify Angel. Rhein heard that Angelās first Witchcraft Slot ability was spatial transposition. Considering the closeness of the ruins to Angelās practice area, Angel should be able to arrive promptly.
"Alright." After nodding, Angel hesitated a bit, then said, "At the Star-gazing Exchange, Tuvalule mentioned he saw Nightmare Realm creatures carrying Spatial Magic Materials to the core of the ruins. Could these materials be for repairing something?"
Tree Spirit pondered, "Itās possible, but anything repaired with Spatial Magic Materials must have a spatial attribute. What could it be?"
No one could answer this question now, so they let it go. However, everyone faintly felt uneasy, as spatial attributes, whether for offensive or functional purposes, belong to the top tier, and being valued by Nightmare Realm creatures, possibly even minister-level creatures descending just for repair, it definitely isnāt something ordinary.
Whether this object is ultimately used for attack or has some function, itās not good news for them.
A distance away, in another Observation Pavilion, Ironclad Granny slowly picked up a cup of floral tea, took a sip, and said, "It seems the issue with the ruins wonāt be resolved anytime soonā¦"
Ironclad Granny took a long sigh.
Even though the old man Wallace was also concerned about the ruins, he was more interested in the lazy red-haired middle-aged man, "Managing to make Lord Rhein consider so much for him, his identity is already self-evident."
Wallaceās eyes flashed with light as he gazed deeply at Angel, his eyes filled with obscure emotions.
In Angelās Observation Pavilion, after a period of silence, Rhein sighed and broke the stillness, "Since there are no more clues, you might as well go back first."
Tree Spirit: "Iāll stay here for now anyway, because heā¦"
Tree Spirit gestured with his mouth towards Angelās direction, "My Avatar is with him. If something happens in the ruins, I can notify him the fastest."
Rhein nodded noncommittally, acknowledging that Tree Spirit would notify Angel faster than him.
Sanders actually wanted to stay in the ruins to observe the situation here but had to leave because he also needed to focus on the asylum.
Naturally, Angel left with Sanders. But just as Angel stepped out of the Observation Pavilion, an image inexplicably floated into his mind.
Angelās footsteps instantly paused.
With his pause, water rippled, and starlight shattered.
In the dazzling light, Sanders looked at him with confusion, "Whatās wrong with you?"
"Iām fine." After finishing, Angel turned his head back towards the Observation Pavilion; Rhein and Tree Spirit were also looking over.
Angel looked at Rhein, "Lord Rhein, where is the door to these ruins?"
Rhein was stunned for a moment, immediately understanding Angelās intention, "You still have concerns, hoping to see if thereās a map behind the door?"
Angel nodded, revealing an embarrassed smile.
Rhein: "The door to the ruins is inside the passage at the center of the Star Pond, not far, just a few dozen meters inside. I originally planned to show you, but Sanders saw those leather shoes. For safety, maybe you should set this aside for now."
Rhein seemed unconcerned because he didnāt believe there would be a map behind the door of the ruins.
However, Angel was a bit persistent, "I think itās worth a try."
Everyone looked at Angel, unsure of why he suddenly said that.
Angel: "When I stepped onto the Star Pond just now, an image of a door suddenly flashed through my mind. I donāt know if Iām just imagining it or if itās some kind of hint from fate, but I personally hope itās the latter."
Rhein was silent for a moment. If the image in Angelās mind was truly a wizardās premonition, it indeed warranted a try.
Rhein thought for a moment and said, "I also hope itās the latter. Thereās no harm in trying. But there is a safety concern with that passage now. In a few days, Iāll enter it first to check. Once Iām sure thereās no issue, Iāll have Tree Spirit notify you."
