Just a short while ago, after two days of settling his thoughts, he regained his senses. The first thing he did upon coming to was to go to the relicâs entrance to communicate with the Tree Spiritâs avatar.
Mainly because tomorrow would be Star Observation Day, and Angel needed to ask the Tree Spirit to convey a message to Lord Rhein to confirm the time and place, so that he could bring the Mini Signal Tower along.
In response, the Tree Spirit seemed already aware and directly told Angel that Rhein would be coming to his relic tomorrow, so there was no need to go searching for him specially.
After confirming this news, the Tree Spirit and Angel chatted for a while longer. Mostly, it was Angel listening while the Tree Spirit complained incessantly. The topic was mostly about the venue for the Tea Party and his exasperation with Liannaâs stubbornness.
After serving as a complaint receptacle for half an hour, Angel finally saw the Tree Spirit off and returned to the study.
Looking at the open handbook on the desk, he thought for a moment but did not continue writing; instead, he slowly closed it and fastened the clasp.
With only about a dozen hours left until Star Observation Day, if he became engrossed in his research, he might miss the time. Furthermore, he didnât know when Lord Rhein would be arriving.
Thus, after pondering, Angel decided not to be hasty in settling into his own thoughts today.
As for the remaining dozen hours, Angel didnât plan to waste them: âItâs been over two days since Popota entered the Wilderness of Dreams; he should have adapted to his new identity⊠Itâs time to meet him.â
Angel picked a comfortable position on the chair, closed his eyes, and stepped into the Dream Bridge.
Once he entered the Wilderness of Dreams, Angel suddenly froze.
âThis feelingâŠâ At the moment, Angel stood in his old spotâat the top of the Sky Tower. Overhead was a clear, cloudless blue sky. Yet, Angel couldnât help but glance around. He wasnât observing celestial phenomena but rather the faint energy pervading around.
Though extremely thin, Angel could confirm that this energy was Primordial Magic!
Has Sanders already started activating âEnergy Selectionâ? So soon?!
Angel closed his eyes, his mind entering the Mind Space, and then cautiously extended his spiritual power as tendrils outward.
When the hair-thin spiritual power surged out from his brow, Angel was momentarily stunned.
Spiritual power could indeed reach out beyond the Mind Space! It truly entered the Wilderness of Dreams!
Even though the spiritual power could currently only be twisted into fine strands, even though it had to be retracted soon due to the thin energy outside, Angel was nonetheless exhilarated.
This familiar feelingâthe energy world exhibited by spiritual powerâwas almost indistinguishable from reality!
He was now confirmed that Sanders had indeed activated Authority, and even faster than he imagined, utilizing less than two days to kindle the fire of energy innovation across the entire Wilderness of Dreams!
Unable to resist, Angel utilized Godâs View, locking his gaze onto Pat Manor, wanting to directly converse with Sanders.
However, when he focused his sight over, he saw Sanders still in the study with eyes closed, seemingly still striving in developing that Authority.
Seeing this, Angel refrained from disturbing him, suppressing his excitement and withdrawing his vision.
Though unable to directly converse with Sanders about the âEnergy Selectionâ issue, he could observe for himself.
He submerged his thoughts into the world of the Ability Tree, his gaze fixed on the newly lit pointâŠ
About ten minutes later, Angel opened his eyes. After doing so, he was still somewhat dazed, as if what he saw ahead was no longer The Real Worldâno blue sky, no cities, but countless energy clusters and infinite framework lines.
Because after he entered âEnergy Selection,â the visual field appeared as such; filled with geometric shapes, vectors, and matrix lines. These innumerable complex lines constituted the framework of the Magic System.
Angel only caught a glimpse, and did not understand how the Magic System was constructed, but he could ascertain that Sanders had set up the most basic framework of the Magic System in the Wilderness of Dreams.
This also meant that the Magic System could be utilized in the Wilderness of Dreams! As long as in the future, content is gradually filled into this framework, the Magic System would become more complete.
At this moment, a trace of gratitude appeared in Angelâs eyes. Thankfully, the Magic System was built by Sanders. If it were him, constructing such a framework would take at least several months.
Sensing the birth of the magic framework, Angel was no longer in a hurry to find Popota. He started attempting to cast spells using magic in the Wilderness of Dreams, while also observing the changes of the Magic Vortex in the Mind Space.
Previously, he could feel the Mind Space in the Wilderness of Dreams, but due to certain rules limitations, the Magic Vortex couldnât be activated, like a dead pond with only its form.
At present, Angel still couldnât activate it, but he perceived that the magic absorbed from the Wilderness of Dreams also entered the Magic Vortex, though this magic slightly differed from the inherent magic within the vortex itself.
While similar in nature, Angel could discern the magic absorbed from the Wilderness of Dreams carried a kind of illusory quality.
Angel conducted experiments, moving back and forth between the Wilderness of Dreams and reality, eventually reaching a conclusion.
The magic in the Wilderness of Dreams, temporarily referred to as âVirtual Power,â cannot be brought back to reality nor affect the magic in reality. However, in the Wilderness of Dreams, while the magic in reality cannot be cast, it can be done using âVirtual Power.â
Virtual Power, from the perspective of casting in the Wilderness of Dreams, feels almost identical to realityâs magic, with the feedback nearly the same.
However, it can only be used within the Wilderness of Dreams, disappearing upon exiting; yet if one enters the Wilderness of Dreams from reality, previously stored Virtual Power within the body will surge out again, not dissipating.
Currently, Angel doesnât know where this Virtual Power is stored once a person returns to reality? Perhaps this involves issues of higher dimensions? After all, the Mind Space doesnât truly reside within the flesh; it merely attaches to the human body, belonging to another dimension itself.
These questions might be answered in the future. But for now, Angel merely notes them without seeking immediate understanding.
Besides limitations of Virtual Power, there are actually some restrictions regarding the wizardâs own abilities.
Perhaps due to the Magic System in the Wilderness of Dreams currently having only one framework, even if Sanders completely lifted the âEnergy Level Limitation,â Official Wizards entering the Wilderness of Dreams could only contain the amount of Virtual Power equivalent to a new apprentice.
In other words, even upon entry, Official Wizards couldnât activate the Magic Vortex, still needing to store magic carefully like apprentices, calculating magic output akin to using the Magical Core.
Certainly, this would change in the future.
However, if in the future the Magic System is completed and Sanders limits the outsidersâ strength through âEnergy Level Limitation,â allowing all Official Wizards to exhibit only level 1 Apprenticeâs strength in the Wilderness of Dreams, this would also be feasible.
In summary, though Virtual Power has ushered the Wilderness of Dreams into the Era of the Extraordinary, the most crucial key to mastering this era remains held by Angel and Sanders.
