Chapter 302 The Child Spirit at The Amusement Park 1
Ye Shaoyang found a place for him to sit and said, âLetâs wait here.â
Xiao Ma looked bewildered, âWhat? Wait? Arenât you going to perform some crafts with the spirit nail and seize her Kuman Thong?â
Ye Shaoyang chuckled, âYou think too much. The nails is left with its presence. We canât perform a soul seizing chant with the nails. However, different spirits will have different presences. Therefore, I am planning to ask around with other spirits for the Kuman Thong.â
âThat easy?â Xiao Ma looked stunned.
âYeah,â Ye Shaoyang shrugged his shoulders and continued, âBut it all depends on luck.â
Xiao Ma looked around, âBut it is so quiet here. Where do we find a spirit?â
Ye Shaoyang took out the Qixing Grass Juice and sprayed it onto Xiao Ma and Zhuang Yuning. He asked them to wake him up when a spirit approached while he leaned backward to rest.
Zhuang Yuning and Xiao Ma exchanged looks. Both of them were confused. They did not know what Ye Shaoyangâs plan was. But since he was the boss, they had no choice but to follow his orders.
Twenty minutes passed. While Xiao Ma was starting to lose patience when he saw seven to eight kids rushed in from the entrance of the amusement park. The youngest was around three years old while the oldest was around eight. The crowd played as they walked into the park. Then, they separated and ran to different rides.
âStrange. Why are there so many kids coming to an amusement park this late at night?â Xiao Ma asked as he scratched the back of his head.
âMaybe they are from the same kindergarten? Coming together after school?â Zhuang Yuning guessed.
âOnly your kindergarten finishes school this late at night. Haha. I guessed they have just finished their tuition class,â replied Xiao Ma.
Zhuang Yuning nodded in approval. She scanned the children, âAll children. No adults. Oh dear, how could their parents allow them to come here by themselves? It is dangerous.â
Ferris wheel, carousel, and the other rides started to move. A few of the younger kids were playing with the carousel; the park was bustling with noises and excitement.
A four-year-old girl with a pigtail braid timidly approached the small pavilion. She looked up and down at Zhuang Yuning, and her head tilted, âBig sister, can you play see-saw with me?â
âSure.â Zhuang Yuning replied to her with a sweet smile as she stood up. When she was about to exit the pavilion, Ye Shaoyang suddenly pulled her from behind and asked, âAre you seriously going to play with her?â
âWhy? I can watch out for you while I play with her.â Zhuang Yuning wondered aloud.
Ye Shaoyang chuckled, âGoodness. Donât you feel weird after seeing them here for some time?â
Zhuang Yuning and Xiao Ma exchanged looks and shook their heads.
âThey look just normal like us. Whatâs wrong with them?â Xiao Ma scratched his head.
The little girl saw Ye Shaoyang blocking Zhuang Yuningâs way. She glared at him as she walked toward them, âOr else, do you want to play with me?â
âSure. What are we playing?â Ye Shaoyang smiled.
âAnything. Letâs go.â The little girl grasped his hand and pulled him out, but Ye Shaoyang did not move at all.
She raised her head and saw Ye Shaoyang looking into her eyes and smiling at her. His relaxed expression terrified her. She ran for her life without looking back.
âHow about now? Nothing strange observed?â Ye Shaoyang asked again.
The two of them shook their heads.
Ye Shaoyang gave the matter a second thought. He realized; one usually misses the most obvious findings. So, he patiently explained to them, âDid you notice that the rides are moving without the power supply being turned on?â
His words struck the two like lightning. Both of them were stupefied. Moments later, they started to glance around and found that the rides were automatically moving without a power supply.
The little girl who asked to play was climbing up the carousel, and it moved once she settled down.
âSee?â Ye Shaoyang asked.
Xiao Ma drew in a deep breath and said in a trembling voice, âDo you mean the ghosts are helping them?â
Xiao Maâs answer left Ye Shaoyang speechless, and he scolded, âWhat an idiot! There are no ghosts helping them. They are the ghosts! Damn it!â
Xiao Ma stared dumbfounded; his mouth moved up and down, but no words came out.
On the other hand, Zhuang Yuning fell to the bench, her face covered in panic, âUnbelievable. There are so many of them. Are they all ghosts?â
Zhuang Yuning paused, âBut a layman cannot see a ghost. Oh yeah, you sprayed something on our eyes just nowâŚ.â
Ye Shaoyang handed another aerosol spray container to her, âTry this.â
âAmomum serum. It can let you see the true appearance of spirits.â
Zhuang Yuning hesitated. Drawing in a deep breath, she took the container and sprayed some onto each of her eyes. Xiao Ma also took the spray and sprinkled the stuff onto his eyes. As they blinked and looked again toward the kids, they were left dumbstruck by the scene before their eyes:
The appearances of the kids had changed. The head of one of the boys, who was riding on the ferris wheel, had burst opened, and the white brain fluid flowed down his face.
Xiao Ma guessed that something must have crushed the boyâs head. Another kid beside the boy, his body was extremely bloated, and his two eyeballs hung out of the sockets, moving up and downâŚ.
Of the kids playing with the bumper cars, one had a deep hollow wound in his chest. A pair of crooked-arms held the steering wheel, as he laughed happily while playing.
However, the little girl looked normal. Xiao Ma and Zhuang Yuning gazed at her for quite a long period before they realized a deep lacerated wound on her neck that was possibly the fatal wound.
Zhuang Yuning had never encountered such terrifying scene. Her face turned as white as sheet as she trembled and involuntarily moved beside Ye Shaoyang. She grasped his arm as though she would faint at any time.
Instead of fear, Xiao Ma felt more surprise. He muttered to himself, âI never expected to meet so many child spirits. Did they die in the ways that we can see now?â
âWhat do you think?â Ye Shaoyang smiled.
Xiao Ma thought for a while before he replied, âBut why did all child spirits die unjustly? What a coincidence.â
âAnd all are patients that stayed in a hospitalâ, Ye Shaoyang rolled his eyes as he replied, âThe child spirits would have grown up now if they did not die youngâŚ.â
âNo. No. What I meant was those children who died young were because of illness. However, the kids that we saw now, they all died because of tragic incidents, likeâŚ.â Xiao Ma looked from the burst open head kid to the bloated kid, âI guess he died from drowning? Why are none of their deaths caused by illness?â
