A fantasy by the protagonist, for the protagonist, and about the protagonist.
This is an alternate route ending if Torige were to visit the sleeping quarters this night.
Please note that this is purely a fantasy and has no relation to the main story.
If you are only interested in the continuation, you can skip this without any issues.
The characters and settings may be subject to change in the future. The heroines are introduced early.
Despite the title "Harem," the first heroine doesn't appear until the eleventh part.
Oh, with this submission, the first heroine will appear in the twelfth part.
I know, I should just hurry up and write the continuation instead of this.
Please don't throw things.
"Is there something about this village, Master?"
Mira asked, her cat ears perked up.
"No, not really. There's nothing special."
"That's right, it doesn't seem to be a resort either."
Cery looked around curiously, more out of interest than caution.
"I just came here once before."
He placed his hand on her head.
He led them into the village, which felt both changed and unchanged, evoking a sense of nostalgia.
There should be a stable to the right as soon as you enter the village.
Bicker, Male, 41 years old
A man stood in front of the stable.
His face was familiar, but not much more than that.
It seemed his level hadn't increased much in ten years.
He spoke, but as usual, it was incomprehensible.
When Roxane responded, the merchant bowed slightly and returned to the village.
That merchant should have understood Brahmin, though.
"Master, do you have some business in this village?"
"Yes. I asked that man if he could get some Cupicos if they have them."
Roxane left with Mira, and he approached the stable.
There was one horse inside the stable.
Cery came up on the right and murmured.
"Master, is there something about this stable?"
"No, I was just wondering if it looked the same."
He looked up at Vesta, who stood on the left, and then at the roof of the stable.
It was nostalgic, but he couldn't remember much.
He patted Vesta's back, who responded with a puzzled look, and peered into the stable through the window.
The stable where he first arrived in this world ten years ago.
But after ten years, it was hard to tell if it was the same.
Since that merchant was here, the stable probably belonged to him.
Come to think of it, he should have realized it.
There weren't many horses in this village. There was probably only one horse to pull a cart.
The cart belonged to the merchant, and so did the horse pulling it. The stable where the horse was kept also belonged to the merchant.
So, those sandals were the merchant's.
He called out while petting the horse's shoulder.
It might be a different horse after ten years.
If it was the same horse, it would be the first living creature to see him in this world.
Mira ran over from the other side of the road, holding red fruits in both hands.
Mira handed him two Cupicos and ran back.
Roxane was walking over from the other direction.
Mira ran to Roxane and pulled her hand.
Roxane, being pulled, started running too.
He handed the carrot-like fruits to Cery and Vesta and waited for Roxane.
"Yes, Master. They are a specialty of this village."
The merchant must have succeeded in cultivating them.
Roxane took a Cupico from the bag and handed it to him with a beautiful smile.
Her smile hadn't changed in ten years.
He took the Cupico from Roxane and gave one to Lutina.
Lutina bowed, and her beautiful blonde hair revealed her long elf ears, which were cute.
As he admired Lutina, he noticed Mira looking at him with hopeful eyes.
It was fine if she wanted to eat first.
He took a bite of the Cupico.
What was it again? It tasted like cherries.
He didn't really remember the taste of cherries.
"It's sweet and sour, and delicious."
He petted Mira's head and played with her cat ears.
They felt so good to touch.
He looked at the vegetable garden at the edge of the village.
What kind of plant was the Cupico?
A small boy was working in the garden.
Impressive, a black-haired boy.
He was working, visible and hidden behind crops that reached his chest.
Most people in this area had blonde or brown hair.
Was there a black-haired man in this village?
Feeling a surge in his chest, he chanted "Identify."
Even if the last name wasn't passed down.
Could he do anything for this boy?
Mira let out a small sound as he continued to pet her ears.
Was she dazed from the petting or satisfied with the sweetness of the fruit?
"Roxane, can you translate for me?"
They approached the garden.
"Can I talk to you for a moment?"
The boy came out of the garden at Roxane's words.
"What are you working on?"
"He's working on Cupicos."
It was obvious from the red fruits.
"Are your parents doing well?"
"His mother is doing well. His father died before he was born."
He took a sword from his item box.
Skill: Attack Power x5, HP Absorption
An old sword he no longer used.
The passive skill made it just right.
"Are you listening to your mother?"
The boy nodded when Roxane translated.
"I think I knew your father."
"Give this sword to your mother. If she says it's okay, use it to protect her."
The boy looked at the sword with great interest.
He took it when encouraged.
"Even if you think you've become strong using this sword, it's not you who is strong, but the sword. Don't forget that."
He gave a warning before letting go.
It would be a problem if he decided to become an adventurer and abandon his mother, but this was the boy's life.
After Roxane finished translating, he let go.
The boy bowed deeply, hugged the sword, and ran off.
His mother was probably at home.
Whether he would come back or leave before that.
"Master, that was an old sword you cherished, wasn't it?"
"Sorry, Roxane. It was the first sword I gave you."
"No, I don't mind. Come to think of it, the first thing I received from you was a scimitar."
Roxane smiled, perhaps remembering the past.
Yeah. She was always cute.
A smile he never got tired of in ten years.
He might come back to this village again.
He turned his back on the village and chanted the teleportation spell.
Our battle is far from over.
Look forward to the next work by Soga Shichi.
