Shi Sheng was so hungry, she didnât feel like going out. Liang Ge had already texted about helping her take a day off from school, so she didnât have to go today.
âHow were you injured?â Shi Sheng looked at Xi Yin, who was sitting comfortably on the sofa without a hint of unease at being in someone elseâs home.
âWell, you sure adapted quicklyâŠâ
Xi Yin lifted his head, a faint smile on his face. âYou want to please me by helping me take revenge?â
âIf that will make you happy, I donât mind,â Shi Sheng calmly replied. âI mean, itâs just killing someone. How hard could it be?â
A hint of disdain appeared in Xi Yinâs eyes, angering Shi Sheng slightly. âWhatâs with that look, eh?! Do you not believe me?! Or maybe you just donât have faith in me, huh?!â
âTell me who did it! Iâll(lz)Â go kill them right now!â Shi Sheng walked over to his side, speaking aggressively as she leaned over him with a hand against the sofa.
âYouâre not his match.â Xi Yin lowered his gaze, his tone placid.
âBollocks! Thereâs never been anyone I couldnât kill!â Shi Sheng gave a cold, arrogant scoff. âIf I(bbb) could kill even those lunatics[1], what are normal humans in comparison? What? Donât tell me that guy is even more formidable than the immortals in heaven?â
Xi Yin, ââŠâ âDoes this woman have violent tendencies or what? Talking about killing people this casually⊠Have you no femininity?â
XI Yin got up and changed the topic. âIâll need to stay here for a few days to recuperate.â
âYouâre still planning on leaving?â Shi Sheng raised a brow. âThinking of leaving after youâve entered my(lz) house? Do you think Iâm(lz)running a hotel?â
âNaturally, I will leave after Iâve healed.â âIf I donât have to, why would I stay?â
âIn your dreams.â A hint of a wicked smile appeared on Shi Shengâs face. Her voice was light as she replied, âJust see what happens if you try to run.â
Xi Yin, ââŠâ âHave I met a psychoâŠ? Is it too late for me to leave?â
âDonât presume you can attract my attention this way.â Xi Yin cast Shi Sheng a sideward glance. âThough I have to say, this method of attracting my attention is reallyâŠunique.â
âWho wants to get your attention?â Shi Sheng rolled her eyes. âItâs fine as long as my sights are set on you.â
Xi Yinâs brow furrowed slightly and he suddenly leaned towards Shi Sheng. His eyes, gleaming with a golden light, stared directly into Shi Shengâs own. The latter looked back at him innocently.
Xi Yin tilted her chin up with one hand, his lips slowly curving into a smile. âYouâre very bold. You may continue getting close to meâŠif youâre not afraid of dying, that is.â
Shi Sheng smacked his hand away and retreated to a safe distance. Until she was sure he was Feng Ci, she didnât want to have any intimate contact with him.
âDaring to get fresh with me, eh? Weâll settle this score after Iâve gotten my answer!
If youâre not Feng Ci, Iâll pummel you to death!
If youâre Feng Ci? Then weâll settle this on the bed!â
Xi Yin took out a handkerchief from who-knows-where and proceeded to lightly rub his fingers, as if he had touched something dirty and was now cleaning it off..
Shi Sheng, ââŠâ
âCongratulations, princess[2]Â Xi Yin. Youâve successfully caught my[3]Â attention!â
âŠâŠ
Shi Sheng went upstairs. She was afraid she wouldnât be able to resist hacking this fellow to death if she stayed with him any longer.
Shi Sheng shifted the coffin out of the room and tossed it into the storeroom.
She also moved out some of the older furniture, making the once cramped room much more spacious.
Her gaze landed on the painting hanging on the wall. Every time Shi Sheng saw it, sheâd always feel a slight discomfort. After pondering for a bit, she took it down and was just about to put it away when a faint voice echoed out from behind her.
âWhere did you get that painting?â
Shi Sheng turned to look at the person who had appeared at the doorway. Xi Yin was leaning against the doorframe. Not even his simple attire could mask his noble elegance.
Shi Sheng rolled up the painting and shoved it in a drawing tube before speaking, âDunno. Itâs been here for as long as I can remember.â
Shi Sheng couldnât find anything in Mi Naiâs memories relating to this painting. It seemed like it had always been there.
âThen why are you putting it away now?â
âDonât you find it stifling to look at?â Shi Sheng raised her head, her gaze serene.
Xi Yin fell silent for a moment before suddenly speaking with a smile, âI like it a lot.â
Shi Sheng frowned.
Xi Yin continued, âI want to see it.â
âYou want me to indulge you?â Shi Sheng gave an empty smile.
âIf you canât even do that, how can you say that you like me?â Xi Yin spoke in a very matter-of-fact tone, disdain growing on his face.
âBecause youâre good-looking.â
âCompeting in whose more shameless eh? When I(bbb)Â turn shameless, I(bbb)Â even scare myself!â
Xi Yin, ââŠâ
âHa, I knew it. It was because of my looks. This shallow woman!â
His smile receded as he placed a piece of paper on the cabinet beside him. âThese are the things I need.â
Shi Sheng walked over, picked the paper up, and scanned through its contents. She then cast a strange look at Xi Yin.
The latterâs lips rose once more. âIf you want to please me, then do as I say.â
Shi Sheng threw the paper in his face and sneered, âDonât get all uppity with me. I scare even myself when Iâm provoked!â
The paper slowly drifted to the ground.
Xi Yin, ââŠâ âWhat happened to liking me? This liarâŠâ
Shi Sheng picked up the painting and took a couple of steps before doubling back and pointing at the room opposite hers. âYou sleep in that room.â
Xi Yin frowned. The door to that room was wide open so he could see that it was completely bare. He then returned his gaze to Shi Shengâs room. âI want to sleep here.â
âIf youâre not afraid of getting screwed by me, then come on over.â Shi Shengâs eyes curved upwards in a smile as she spoke.
Xi Yin, ââŠâ âThis shameless woman!â
He angrily entered the room opposite hers, stepping on the paper in the process.
Shi Sheng stared at it for a moment.
âŠâŠ
Shi Sheng felt like vampires were not only a fussy race, they were also a bunch of spendthrifts. Pretty much all their clothing had to be made by hand, and imported from overseas at that.
By the time Shi Sheng finished making the calls to confirm the orders, the money in Mi Naiâs card had nearly been completely squandered.
âHow did vampires earn money againâŠ? No one told me!â
It seemed like vampires didnât need to earn money, since they all appeared to have vast fortunes at their disposalâŠ
Shi Sheng turned on her computer and did some basic research on this world. After completing her research, she opened up the stock trading market.
The Money-Making Princess had logged on.
Once Shi Sheng invested the rest of her funds into the stock market, she was already poor enough to eat dirt.
âSo hungryâŠâ Shi Sheng rubbed her belly.
She got up to leave the room and found the door to the opposing room tightly shut. âWonder what heâs doing in thereâŠâ
Just as she was hesitating, the door was suddenly pulled open.
âLetâs go out to eat.â Xi Yin looked at her.
Shi Sheng raised her brow. âYou wanna go drink blood?â
âTo vampires, eating means drinking blood right? I didnât expect you to be the type, villain-sama!â
âEat food.â Xi Yin emphasised, after which Shi Sheng understood.
âYouâre a vampire. Howâre you going to eat food?â Shi Sheng felt speechless. âYouâre not afraid of getting indigestion?â
Xi Yinâs gaze burned as he looked at her.
Shi Sheng shrugged. âNo money. Weâre gonna have to eat dirt.â
âThis fellowâs definitely going to one of those fancy high-class places where a meal would cost more than 10k! I donât have the money for him to spend right now!â
Xi Yin, ââŠâ

He turned around and returned to the room, re-emerging a moment later. He handed her a card. It was a normal-looking card, not like one of those limited-edition black VIP cards.
Shi Sheng, ââŠâ âVery good. This villain-sama is very down to earth.â
[1] Iâm not sure if this is a pun or not. Sheâs referring to the immortals from the previous arc but the term used here was âç„ç»ç â where âç„â means god.
[2] The term used here âć°ć ŹäžŸâ was based off of âć°ć Źäž»â, which means little princess, and according to Baidu is used to refer to men who have some ladylike behaviours, but arenât sissies.
[3] The term used here was âæŹć°â which is usually used by young masters. So⊠âYouâve caught this young masterâs attention!â ML Sheng confirmed! Ahem, well I supposed the ć°Â could technically be used in conjunction with either ç· or 愳, the latter of which would make it more feminine but⊠ML Sheng all the way!!! The reason I didnât just put this in the abbreviation section in the content page was because I believe this term appears like once in the whole novel. I could be wrong thoughâŠ
