Sitting at a cafe in front of the train station, I, Yuunagi Shizuno, had called out my friend Shirato Kasumi to hear me out.\n
Kasumi isn’t really the type to stand out that much, but she’s a very calm, smart, and reliable friend.\n
Dressed in plain clothes unfitting for a high school girl, Kasumi listened to me talk without showing a hint of surprise.\n

As I said this, Kasumi shook her head in exasperation. However, despite that, she didn’t pursue the subject. As I thought, Kasumi really is a great friend.\n
It’s quite a long story of how I fell in love with Sakuraba-kun. Talking about it to Kasumi right now still makes me feel a bit too embarrassed.\n
“But Sakuraba-kun is popular isn’t he?”(Kasumi)\n
“He is! He definitely is!”(Yuunagi)\n
Listening to what Kasumi said, I instinctively replied in a loud voice. While covering her ears, Kasumi glared at me.\n

My heart began to tighten and a painful feeling began to gather in my chest. Of course, I was already aware that Sakuraba-kun was popular. But, even still, seeing it in person is painful, and I’m too frightened to accept it. I began to feel flustered and anxious.\n
“Sakuraba-kun doesn’t seem nearly as popular as you, but he’s secretly pretty popular right?”(Kasumi)\n
“Yeah. That’s why this is bad you know… In reality-”(Yuunagi)\n
“No, there’s no way you’d lose to another girl. It’s impossible.”(Kasumi)\n
“You can’t guarantee that! And you really don’t understand what I’m worried about at all!”(Yuunagi)\n
Even as I forcefully objected, Kasumi appeared unconcerned and just smirked at me.\n
Though I say that, I actually am pretty popular. Thanks to my attractive parents, my face is pretty and well proportioned, and my fashion isn’t bad either. In reality, since I entered high school, countless boys have confessed to me. Well, to this day I haven’t dated anyone, though.\n

As long as Sakuraba isn’t affected by my appearance, I don’t really have an advantage at all.\n

Kasumi nodded in understanding. It seems that I hadn’t managed to hide my anger at all.\n
“Naruse-san is bad news you know……Despite the way she looks, she’s actually surprisingly aggressive. Plus, she’s cute and her hobbies even match up with Sakuraba-kun’s.”(Yuunagi)\n
“Yep. They seem like a good match for each other.”(Kasumi)\n

TLN: Here’s a chapter before I enter hell week. Sorry I missed last week. Was busy with a bunch of tests/projects(still am but I didn’t want to miss a second week). During winter break, I’ll probably translate like 2-3 chapters a week, so I hope that makes up for it.\n
On a side note, Gimai Seikatsu V4 releases Dec 24 and first LN of Kanojo NTR also releases, so I’m pretty hyped.
