It has been a week since that day. Since then, Yuunagi has come to my class daily. \n
Because of this, Shirato and I have had more opportunities to converse.\n
To begin with, Shirato and I are quite similar to each other. The two of us aren’t very talkative, and we both are also indoors people that prefer the quiet. On top of that, she’s pushed around by Yuunagi just like me, so the two of us gradually got to know each other.\n

“I thought that Kasumi might be lonely.”(Yuunagi)\n
“Sakuraba-kun, let’s just eat by ourselves.”(Kasumi)\n

Of course, in the beginning, we only talked about Yuunagi’s plan. But, during the time we spent together, we developed a strange sort of kinsmanship for each other, so now we’re pretty close friends.\n
And perhaps because of this, the three of us eating lunch together was becoming a familiar sight to the class. Yuunagi and I have also been recognized as good friends by our surroundings to a certain extent.\n
Judging by this, it seemed safe to say that Yuunagi’s operation was progressing smoothly.\n
It’s just that there was another, separate problem.\n
“Aoto-kun, can I borrow you for a moment?”(Mikura)\n
“Oh, Mikura-san. Sure, but what’s up?”(Sakuraba)\n
Recently, Mikura has been calling out to me a lot. It isn’t that I particularly dislike it, of course. But, compared to what she was like before, she’s certainly talking a lot more to me, seemingly out of nowhere.\n
Well, since it is Mikura that’s asking for me, I obviously can’t just ignore her\n
After putting away the bento I had finished eating, I moved beside Mikura’s seat. \n
“There was something I was having a bit of trouble understanding while studying, so I was wondering if you could teach me.”(Mikura)\n
Mikura just said something incredibly unusual.\n
That Mikura having trouble with her studies? I’ve never heard of such a thing happening before.\n
With the grades that she has, if she’s having trouble understanding, I’m sure that I’d understand even less. Besides, if what she needs help with is her studies, there’s probably someone else who’s more suited for the job. Someone like Yuunagi.\n
“Sure, I can try, but I probably won’t be able to understand either.”(Sakuraba)\n
“Well, well, don’t say that. Everything’s a challenge.”(Mikura)\n
That’s certainly the case. But hmm…….\n
Feeling someone’s gaze, I looked over my shoulder, and I found Yuunagi glaring at Mikura with sharp, snake-like eyes.\n
Somehow, it kind of felt like deja vu.\n
Over the past few days, it has become apparent to me that Yuunagi and Mikura don’t really get along.\n
In the beginning, I thought that it was only one-sided hostility from Yuunagi. But, just two days ago, I saw Mikura glaring at Yuunagi’s back with the eyes of a samurai that had just met their sworn enemy.\n
I thought that they both were people that were liked by everyone, but I guess reality isn’t that sweet.\n
Well it isn’t like they’ve directly argued or fought with each other, so maybe it isn’t something that I have to be that worried about.\n
“Here’s the problem.”(Mikura)\n
“Umm…..? Huh? Isn’t that a factorial sequence? I think they’re pretty easy to understand.”(Sakuraba)\n
Mikura was pointing at a page in the math textbook, and the problem she was pointing at wasn’t that difficult of a problem either.\n
Despite the fact that I’m not particularly good at math, I could understand the problem, so it’s hard to imagine that Mikura can’t solve it.\n
“A, aa. Let’s see, um, I was just being negligent.”(Mikura) [TLN: okay idfk how to TL this. I did my best: ‘あ、あー。そうだな。そうだそうだ。私としたことが、うっかりしていた’]\n
Her voice sounded similar to Yuunagi’s monotone. This situation was becoming increasingly odd. What in the world was Mikura trying to do?\n
“Sakuraba-kun, nee.”(Yuunagi) \n
Unnoticed by me, Yuunagi had walked over here.\n
Immediately, I felt the air grow tense.\n
“What are you doing? The two of you.”(Yuunagi)\n
“Oh, Mikura-san said that there was something she didn’t understand in her studies so….”(Sakuraba)\n
When I replied, Yuunagi turned to stare directly at Mikura. Mikura glared right back, meeting Yuunagi’s gaze.\n
What a disturbing atmosphere…..\n
“I see. If you’re done, then let’s go, Sakuraba-kun.”(Yuunagi)\n
“There’s still some stuff I want to ask Aoto-kun for. Could you not rush the conversation along on your own.”(Mikura)\n
The two of their gazes collided with me stuck right in between the two of them.\n
What’s with this atmosphere…..\n
On top of that, at some point, all the class’s eyes had gathered on us without me noticing. Well, it’s understandable. It is that Yuunagi and that Mikura, after all. If the two of them were fighting about something, it’s only natural to be curious.\n
“What-, what do you need him for?”(Yuunagi)\n
“It’s none of your business.”(Mikura)\n
After answering, Mikura suddenly grabbed my hand and began walking away. Apparently we’re heading outside of the classroom.\n
“Hey! Wait!”(Yuungi)\n
Mikura disregarded the sound of Yuunagi’s voice, and, instead, she just continued to drag me along in a way that made me feel like I was being taken into custody.\n
Somehow, this has become quite the ridiculous situation…..\n
In the end, Mikura’s request was that she wanted my help in grabbing the handouts that needed to be passed out during 5th period.\n
There was quite a bit that needed to be carried, but it wasn’t really a problem if we split the load between the two of us.\n
When we returned to the classroom, Yuunagi was already gone. Instead, on my phone, a message that was recently sent by her was displayed.\n
I want to see you after school! You need to come no matter what!(Yuunagi)\n
It’s this pattern again……..\n
Giving up, I replied with an ‘Okay’ and crammed my phone into my bag.\n

TLN: Even though I’m busy, here’s another chapter because I joined the Neosekai discord and had my ego crushed by translators that actually release on a good schedule. By the way this makes 10 chapters. I honestly expected that I would’ve lost motivation by now. In terms of the new series, hopefully first chapter next week idk.\n
