Osaka is a place that retains a lot of heat from the summer, the temperature is in full swing even in September. I’ve also thought this back when I was in college before but Minami Kawachi especially , where Geidai is located, leans on the hotter side of things.\nWhen the season passes however it gets cold in the blink of an eye. 

The wind from Mt. Kongo cools down the surrounding neighborhood, freezing the students one by one in the process.

“And henceforth I will establish the nation of kotatsu………..”

With only her head and neck sprouting from the kotatsu, Nanako casually heralded  what could potentially be the destruction of humanity.\n“But mankind wouldn’t be able to withstand that and besides thy need to endeavour oneself into practicing singing.”

While breathing out a magnificent sigh I attempt to somehow take Nanako ,master of the kotatsu ,to the outside world.\n“Come now, your singing teacher is waiting for you at school”\n“Don’t wanna……”

And then now even her head is inside the kotatsu.\n“Hey Nanako you need to get to practice”

“N-O-, No!“\nHer tantrums could be heard coming from inside the kotatsu.\n“That’s a splendid spoiled kid act”\n“I had no idea that Nanako could act like a kid~”\nThe two outfielders had this feeling of amazement as they looked on.\n“Hey both of you don’t just look, help me. Fine then I’m forcing you out heave ho!”\n“Kyaa!”\nI forcibly dragged off the kotatsu futon that was above, pulling out Nanako who was hiding inside.\n“Get off!  What a brute! I’m done already, I won’t go to practice~!”\nNanako puffs up her cheeks like a child all the while struggling rampantly.

“Hey listen to this Kyouya! These days it take so loooong, and it’s even the same sets of practices. It feels like a chore , It is not fun at all. I don’t even feel like I’m getting better at it!”\n“You are doing lessons it isn’t supposed to be all fun and games”\n“How long do these boring lessons have to continue~! I’ve been doing nothing but his for about a week now!”\n“Ok, ok calm down calm down, I get it so let’s just go outside”\nIt feels like I’m a parent comforting a child.\nI stand against the kotatsu table completely obliterating Nanako’s defense wall.\n“Uwaah! No way! You would just hate me if I sing like this even now.”\nOh boy the crocodile tears are here.\n“No way! I really love your singing, Nanako! Don’t you know that I’ve been waiting for it all this time? Even with all the preparations .”

Nanako has finally calmed down

“Really?”\n“Trust me. I wouldn’t lie to you just like that.”

I grab Nanako by the hand and pull her up.\n“You know I was deeply moved by your singing”\n“Uuuuu….-but…..”\n“I’ve been thinking that someday I’d be able to hear your song without any tuning. It’s something that only you can do Nanako.”\nI pat on her shoulders

“I’m looking forward to it. That’s why…..!”

*Uuuuuu*\nEven when the person herself is still pouting”\n“I-I give up! I’ll go ok! Don’t look at me in expectation with those sparkling eyes! It’s that , the pressure you know? Really now!”\n\n 

*batabata*\nEscaping from the embarrassment she fixed herself right up putting on her shoes in an instant.

“I’ll be going off!!”

And just like that she went out of the house in a sprint.

*Wew*\nI saw her off until she was gone , then sighed in relief.\n“Hmm, at that rate would she be able to hang on I wonder?”\nFeeling like a parent watching over my child, I prayed to her good luck.

“Regardless of the tuning was the singing really that great?”\n“Nanako was motivated that much, it must be so~”\nTsurayuki and Nanako have yet to actually listen to the Nanako’s auto tuned song.\n“Well just look forward to it. She’ll be able to sing for you someday.”\nI want those two to be able to have a taste of her greatness with a live song one day.

“I’ll also be going out now”\n“You’ve still doing those part time job huh”\n“I’ve found a good one it will give me steady income for a while. I’ll also be staying out overnight.”\n“So you won’t be coming back today. roger that~”\n “And with that…….woah woah woah”\nTsurayuki quickly raised himself up with one hand, he fell on his backside as he was leaving.\n“Ow, That was pathetic of me, I’m getting on in years.”\n“You aren’t even 20 yet that’s a strange thing to say……”

With his wry smile he pull up my hands and for an instant, Tsurayuki’s face caught my eye, I noticed something off.\n“Huh?”

His complexion is visibly bad. The skin is somewhat burnt with summer tan though that doesn’t really raise any alarms but there were bags under his eyes plus his breathing is also rough. 

Did he catch a cold? I try to call him out but

“Thanks for that. Then now, It’s time for me to actually go,”

Standing up, Tsurayuki says his thanks, turns his bike key and leaves the house.

“Ah, I’ve never really heard the reason on why he works so much”\nIs there something he wants?

Or maybe because he is a diligent student and uses it as fuel for his scripts. I wonder what he’s vying for going so far as to go work even when his condition is somewhat bad.\n“Kyouya-kun will you be doing anything?”\nShinoaki aske me looking a bit giddy. Judging from the flow of this, she may want to show me her new illustrations again.\n“I don’t have anything planned so……”\nAs I was saying that I was free today, my phone rang.\n“Oh, It’s an incoming call.  I wonder who its from? Give me a minute.”

“Yup, go ahead~”

A call from someone outside of Team Kitayama, that's unexpected

“Hello, Hashiba speaking. …It’s been a while…..”\nIt was a senior from the club.\n“……Eh?”

After hearing the contents, Naturally I ask about it again.
