(TN-sorry about the delays was trying to finish two visual novels after getting poisoned by my friend again XD (Totono and Summer Pockets to be exact) but now I can dedicate spare time on this again so releases will be much much faster after this chapter  and the special BokuRe post has been delayed with because of that too but it will be released soon enough. I'll try to finish Umeibo in one fellswoop too ) Once again sorry for the delays~ 

Chapter 1 part 2

It was a few days later at Osaka after finishing the location shoot in Shirahama. 

I was by the riverbed hard at work late at night.

“Uhm, Pardon for the trouble, we are filming at the moment, p-please wait here for a while.”

I clumsily called out to the people who were passing by.

“ Ah, uhmm is it alright for one person to go through?”

I radioed in a call people just a little farther away.

“It’s only rehearsals right now-, Just crossing by is alright!”

“Yes! …..sorry about this, going across is OK, thank you for your kind consideration.”

I used a glowstick to guide the passerby to steer clear in advance

I’ve been doing the same thing for about three hours now.

“…So this was the catch.”

Off to my side also holding a glowstick was Kawasegawa who grasped the situation.

“Since they can rent for multiple days I asked a favor from a 3rd years. The condition for their help is adjusting our own schedules and having us help them out with filming after using the equipment ourselves.

The filming department is divided into specialized courses starting at the 3rd year. Starting at that point onward, the works will be on a full-scale production so the rental period of equipment is extended to 1 week.

“It really is a crude method, but this was the only one I could think of.”\n\n 

It was pivotal to sublease the equipment. Naturally the senior students wouldn’t just suddenly lend it to 1st year nobodies.

”And that’s why I’ve been coming to help them film for a while now in hopes that I could gain their trust.”

“It’s nice that it all worked out in the end but…"

Kawasegawa aimed her angry face and glowstick at me.

“Why is it that I have to help out here in the middle of the night! Wouldn’t Hikawa and Tsurayuki be a better fit for this!”

“I didn’t really have a choice you know, I was asked to get someone who was familiar with filming and those two didn’t really fit the bill.”

“I would have been fine with it if I was an assistant for filming and light and such, but this isn’t any different from a part time as a traffic enforcer!”

Kawasegawa was seething with anger.

Exactly at that timing a new pedestrian passed by.

“Ah, I’m very sorry but filming is ongoing at the moment…please wait for a moment.”

 Kawasegawa automatically radioed in practiced motions.

“1 peson is going across.”

“There’s no problem passing through~”

“Understood… Sorry for the wait, please go on ahead”

Acting promptly allowed for the people to go through without stalling.

“Yep, calling you was definitely the right call.”\n“If I’m gonna help anyway I’m putting on my best foot forward! It doesn’t mean that I’m liking it though!”

 *hrmph*\nShe snorted out with a reply.

Even with all that she’s truly a good kid inside.

“Well in any case thanks to that we were able to shoot the scenes the way we wanted to. You have my thanks.

“It is my job after all”

Preparing a filming environment the director is satisfied with is par for the course with production work.

“But this is still a violation of the rules though, I’ve only told this to you and the other seniors that are involved.”

“It is a grey are after all, I understand, then I’ll take great care in not leaking this matter out.”

It was the moment when I was sharing this secret when-

 “AhーI get it now, so that’s how it all went downー”

“Uwahh!!”

“Kyaah!!

We turned over behind us in surprise.

“Oh my,  Didn’t mean ta scare ya~”

 Looking behind us there was a lone woman standing with a smile

“My~, I was thinking why the 1st years were working ya know~ , No I mean it did seem strange that you were working diligently without anything in return.”\n\n 

The woman speaking in a lively Kansai Dialect no I mean more than being a woman its more of a girl, she was a petite and childishly adorable. 

To put it more simply it’s a little girl who could pass off as a grade schooler. Her hair is a splendidly bleached, dyed in a dazzling pink color that I wouldn’t be surprised if it came from another world. In contrast to her appearance is that her speech sounds like the neighborhood aunt moreover even though her words were calm the topic on the other hand the topic of it has obvious thorns in it. 

(TN- >:( Kansai once again Just think of Anastasia from Re:zero speaking but with more ara ara factor XD.)

“Uh uhmm…”

“Why why what’s wrong deary? You seem to be sweating a lot, I wonder if its because you were working too hard huh~”

There’s no doubt about it, her words are clearly implying something.

“I’m truly sorry, I don’t know where the other seniors are currently so please….”

“We truly regret our actions but we needed to use the equipment so….”

Along with Kawasegawa matching my words we bowed and started pleading.

*fuhihihihihi*

She started to laugh and leaked out a smile.

“It’s all good I’m really fine with it you know, I’m your senpai, I certainly was worried about the equipment when I was a 1st year, I don’t mind keeping a secret.”

She kindly answered.

“Th-thank you very much! We’re really grateful for your kind words.”

“That is on one condition”

“Eh-?”

“Return me a favor and this never happened”

However she suddenly shows a coldness not unlike the Manda Financier of Minami

“The name’s Keiko Tomioka but everyone else calls me Keiko-chan It would do you well to remember that”

“Y-Yes”

(TN- Kansai lesson time what she actually says is ほな,また pronounced as “Hona, mata” which is used as good bye, but with the intention of meeting again but they also use it to change topics apparently https://hinative.com/en-US/questions/14881788 Hona translating into tokyo dialect is de-wa so it is Dewa and with “Mata” from next time so its meaning is till next time.)

In the end Keiko-san left with another smile and her sandals echoing across the night road.

“W-what should we do about this….?”

As expected, Kawasegawa looked on at me anxiously.

“It depends on what she asks from us, I just hope its not something that we can’t possibly follow up on….”

It was the only words I can return at this point in time.
