Cain couldn't take his eyes off the sisters who had lost their limbs.
Koran was taken aback by Cain's rash words, his mouth wide open in shock.
Sandaramar was also surprised that Cain would suddenly say he wanted to buy the sisters who had lost their limbs.
The sisters were the most surprised of all. The older sister couldn't even stand on her own, and the younger sister, at ten years old, had lost an arm.
The fact that the noble child in front of them had said he would buy them was shocking.
"Master Cain! You can't just decide something like this. Moreover, these children have lost their limbs—"
"It's fine. I've made my decision."
Cain didn't even look at Koran, only focusing on the two girls.
"Very well, I understand."
Koran understood Cain's unconventional actions. He nodded, convinced that Cain must have his reasons.
"Sir Silford, are you sure about this?"
Sandaramar spoke up from the side. As the head of the guild, he was worried about Cain, who had suddenly said he would buy slaves with defects.
"Yeah. Can I talk to them first?"
Cain, though his gaze was in the room, asked Sandaramar.
Sandaramar nodded and unlocked the barred door with a key from his pocket.
As the door opened, tension spread across the sisters' faces.
"Please. If you don't mind, could you talk to them? You can decide afterward."
Cain slipped through the barred door and entered the room. The sisters were surprised by Cain's actions and huddled together, trembling.
The older sister protectively put her arm around the younger sister and glared at Cain.
Cain slowly approached the two and, to match their eye level, knelt down and spoke to them with a smile.
The sisters were surprised by Cain's actions. A child who seemed to be a noble had deliberately matched their eye level and smiled at them.
"Would you both like to come to my house? Don't worry about your disabilities. I really want you both to come."
The white fox sisters, who had shrunk back at Cain's question, exchanged glances and, with tense faces, nodded slightly at Cain's pure smile.
"Thank you for nodding."
Cain's kind words slightly eased their expressions.
"Can you wait a moment? I'll go complete the contract. We can go home together after that."
After informing the sisters, Cain turned and left the room.
"Sir Silford, are you sure about this?"
"Yeah, it's fine. Can you prepare to bring them home today?"
"Yes, of course. I'll prepare immediately. I'll start the contract preparations and guide you to the parlor."
Cain and Koran followed Sandaramar, passing through the slaves' quarters and returning to the parlor.
Sandaramar instructed the staff to prepare the white fox sisters and began drafting the contract.
In this country, slaves are bound by contracts, which are established with mutual agreement. The contract requires signatures from the slave, the slave trader, and the buyer. The slave trader also has a shrine where the contract is offered and disappears into the divine realm, though this does not apply to criminal slaves.
"Sir Silford, the sisters were indeed rescued, so there is no purchase fee. However, they have been here for two years, and there have been costs for education and food. Could we settle for these expenses? It would be one gold coin and four large silver coins for both."
"Yeah, that's fine. On the contrary, won't your profit be reduced?"
Cain thought that the proposed amount by Sandaramar would mostly cover the expenses, leaving little profit.
"That's fine. They won't change while they're here, and I saw their faces relax a little just now. I believe you will take good care of them, Sir Silford."
Sandaramar handed the completed contract to Cain. Cain checked the contents and passed it to Koran for a second review.
"Master Cain, there are no issues with the contract."
After nodding at Koran's words, Cain signed and placed two gold coins on the table.
"Here's the payment. You don't need to give me change. I felt your dedication in taking care of the sisters with disabilities for two years."
Sandaramar smiled slightly at Cain's words, though he quickly returned to his usual expression.
"I understand. I have received your intentions, Sir Silford."
After receiving the payment, Sandaramar bowed to Cain and left the room to prepare the sisters.
"Koran, I'm sorry. There was a reason I had to buy them."
Cain, still sitting on the sofa, spoke to Koran, who was standing behind him.
"Master Cain, I don't understand your thoughts. I just assist you on your path."
"Koran, thank you."
After thanking Koran, Cain took a sip of the prepared tea.
After a while, the sisters, led by Sandaramar, entered the room. Of course, the older sister, who had no legs, couldn't walk. She was carried in by a staff member.
They were seated on the sofa and listened to Sandaramar's explanation of the contract, nodding.
Unlike their previous attire, they were now wearing simple dresses that commoners usually wear. Their long hair was neatly combed, and Cain observed their profiles.
They seemed to understand and signed the contract together.
"The contract is now complete. From now on, you will be under the care of the Silford Viscount's household, Sir Silford. Both of you should greet him."
The sisters turned to Cain, as directed by Sandaramar. The younger sister, who had only one arm, was holding onto her sister's arm. They were clearly still nervous.
"Master, I am Rula, the older sister. The one next to me is my younger sister, Rora. We both have disabilities and don't know what we can do, but please take care of us."
"Rora. Please take care of us."
The sisters bowed to Cain.
"I am Cain von Silford Drintor. I hope we can get along. We came by carriage, so let's go together."
Cain smiled at them. They were still tense but looked much better than when they were in the room.
Led by Sandaramar, they left the guild and got into the carriage. The older sister, Rula, was carried into the carriage by a staff member, and Rora sat next to her.
"Then, I will visit Drintor on the weekend. Thank you for today."
Sandaramar and the staff bowed in unison.
"Yeah, thank you for your help."
At Koran's command, the carriage started.
The two sisters, sitting across from Cain, were curious about the interior of the noble's carriage, which they had never ridden before. Koran was driving, so there were only three of them in the carriage.
Still, the sisters were close together, holding hands.
The sun was setting, and the streets were filled with people returning from work and shopping. The carriage moved toward the mansion.
Cain told the sisters, "I bought you because I had you appraised at the guild."
At that moment, Rula tensed up.
Rora, who didn't understand, looked up at her sister, who had stiffened slightly.
"I'll explain the rest when you're more settled."
Cain said that and looked out the carriage window at the city.
The carriage entered the noble district and proceeded down a street lined with large estates. Rora was amazed by the size of the mansions and kept looking out the window.
They passed through the gate with guards and stopped in front of the mansion.
"We've arrived at the mansion. I'll carry Rula. We need to prepare the rooms, so please wait in the parlor."
Cain could easily carry Rula, but he left it to Koran.
Koran carried Rula into the mansion. Sylvia, who was surprised by the sudden arrival of two girls with white hair, quickly recovered and helped Koran. Koran and Sylvia led the sisters to the parlor and seated them, placing tea and snacks on the table.
Cain sat across from them and took a sip of the tea. As always, the tea Sylvia made was delicious.
The sisters watched him. Rora was focused on the snacks in front of her.
"You can drink the tea and eat the snacks."
At those words, Rora, still tense, took a snack and put it in her mouth.
The sweetness spread in her mouth, and she instantly smiled.
"Delicious."
Seeing Rora's smile, Cain smiled. Koran and Sylvia also smiled.
Rula, seeing Rora's smile, relaxed for a moment but then turned to Cain with a serious look.
"Master, why did you buy us, despite our disabilities?"
"I don't think the disabilities are a problem. They will be restored."
Cain answered casually, but Rula and Rora were surprised. It was said to be almost impossible to restore lost limbs after several years.
They didn't know what connections Cain had, but they couldn't believe a child could do it so easily.
Cain continued, seeing their surprise.
"It must be inconvenient for you. We're inside the mansion now, so it's fine."
Cain stood up, approached the two, and placed his hands on them.
'Perfect Heal'
Cain cast the spell, placing his hands on the two. Instantly, they were enveloped in a divine light they had never seen before. When the light faded, Rula's long, slender legs and Rora's right arm had returned.
If the limbs had been severed recently, the advanced healing spell 'Extra Heal' would have been sufficient, but it had been two years since their limbs were lost. A super-advanced healing spell was necessary, and Cain used it without hesitation. Such a legendary spell could only be used by the Pope and the next Pope candidate, the Cardinal, in the Marinford Holy Kingdom. Even the bishops sent to various countries couldn't use it. Cain had used this legendary spell on slaves.
"Wh-what..."
"Is this... a joke?"
"Such... a thing..."
"Big sister, I have a hand!!"
Koran and Sylvia were stunned by Cain's use of the super-advanced healing spell. They knew how rare this spell was and couldn't believe they had seen it in a fairy tale.
Rora was overjoyed, gripping and spreading her restored right hand. Rula, seeing this, was shocked and then checked her own legs, tears streaming down her face.
It was clear that they had endured many hardships because of their disabilities.
Rula hugged the overjoyed Rora. Rora, being young when she became a slave, didn't fully understand the value of the super-advanced healing spell.
After hugging Rora, Rula turned to Cain again.
"Master, I don't know how to express my gratitude. Thank you so much for healing us."
"Master, thank you."
Rula bowed, and Rora followed suit.
Their faces, now healed, looked much better.
"Yeah, it's fine. You'll need some rehabilitation, but you can work as maids under Sylvia when you're ready. For today, just rest in your rooms. I have to go to the estate, so I'll leave you in their care."
Koran and Sylvia, who were standing behind, nodded. They were still moved by the scene and had tears in their eyes.
"U-um... The rooms are ready. Rula, it might be hard to walk with your new legs, so I'll help you."
Sylvia, wiping away her tears, offered her hand to Rula. Rora followed with a smile.
Cain, now alone with Koran, leaned back on the sofa.
"Master Cain, I didn't expect you to use a super-advanced healing spell. That's why you could buy them without worrying, right?"
"Yeah, that's part of it, but there's another reason. I can't tell you now."
Cain answered Koran's question lightly. He couldn't tell Koran, as it was too important.
Cain stood up, stretched, and raised his hands.
"I'm going to Drintor. I'll be back tonight."
"Understood. Please be careful."
Koran bowed, and Cain teleported to Drintor.
