This is still in the Graacia territory, when Cain was still here.
Cain often spent his days reading books in his room on days when he didn't have a tutor.
Just by defeating two of them last time, he had leveled up to level 8 and felt much stronger.
Since he wasn't allowed to go outside alone, Cain was often troubled in his room.
"Right! If I can return quickly, I might be able to go to the forest."
With that thought, he developed the long-distance and short-distance teleportation spells.
He prepared his equipment in the room and cast the spell.

The scenery changed instantly, and Cain found himself standing in the grass outside the castle walls where Mili and Nina often trained him.
"Now the forest is much closer."
Cain readied his sword and cast the exploration spell.
The magic spread thinly and widely around him. Thanks to his significantly greater magic power compared to humans, he could now grasp things up to about a kilometer away.
He then entered the forest.
The Monster Forest, due to its high concentration of mana, had more and stronger monsters compared to ordinary forests.
That's why the Graacia territory was bustling with adventurers. The prey hunted by adventurers flowed into the capital.
"Ah, a reaction... It's in the north, and there are quite a few of them."
Cain headed in the direction of the reaction. It turned out to be a goblin village.
There were about fifty goblins gathered. Some of them were higher-level goblins wearing leather armor and wielding swords.
He channeled magic into his sword and charged in. With each swing, the goblins' heads separated from their bodies. The higher-level goblins near the large central building seemed to notice and pointed their swords at him.
The goblin swung a large sword. Using his body techniques, Cain quickly moved to the side to dodge the sword, then swung his own sword. The goblin's right arm separated from its body.
"Kuuuuuuuuu!"
As the goblin screamed and clutched its right arm, Cain severed its head.
He continued to slash through the goblins that came at him. In a trance, he swung his sword, and when he came to, all the goblins in the village were dead.
Seeing the pile of dead goblins made him feel a bit sick. Goblins were about the size of children. Seeing their internal organs scattered around made him feel nauseous.
"Calm down"
Cain cast a spell on himself to regain his composure.
"Phew. Goblins aren't much of a problem."
He swung his blood-soaked sword to shake off the blood and sheathed it. He took out a small sword and extracted the magic stone from the chest of the goblins. Monsters have magic stones embedded in their chests. The size of the magic stone varies depending on the strength of the monster. The goblin's magic stone was about the size of a fingernail. He put the collected magic stones into his item box.
He used earth magic to dig a hole, put the goblins in it, and burned them with magic.
"I can still do this. Let's go a bit deeper."
Saying that, Cain proceeded further into the forest.
He continued to advance, exterminating groups of orcs and ogres.
Each time he fought, Cain felt his power surge.
As he went deeper into the forest, he could sense a large mass of magic.
"This is different from the usual magic. Let's go check it out."
He walked toward the large mass of magic.
There, he found a ground dragon without wings.
"Wow, a dragon. It's a ground dragon because it doesn't have wings."
Using short-distance teleportation, he instantly appeared on top of the ground dragon and sliced its neck with a magic-infused sword.
"Short-distance teleportation is really convenient. Being able to exploit a gap in an instant is a big advantage."
He put the headless ground dragon into his item box and proceeded further into the forest.
Deeper in, there was a rock mountain with a cave in part of it. The surrounding area looked as if it had been disturbed, with dead trees.
He used the exploration spell to check inside the cave.
There was a very strong magic reaction deep inside.
"Ah, there's something in there. It seems stronger than the ground dragon from earlier."
He cast a light ball and proceeded into the depths of the cave. The inside of the cave was scattered with bones of unknown origin, giving the impression that the resident had ravaged the area.
He continued deeper, sensing the magic. It seemed that a strong monster was there, and there were no other monsters around.
Following the light, he came to a large open area.
And there it was.
A fully red dragon, about eight meters long even with its wings folded.
A real dragon was there.
The dragon immediately focused on Cain. Its eyes sharpened as it spotted its prey.
As soon as it raised its long neck, it opened its mouth and a compressed fireball flew toward him.
"Close call!"
Cain dodged at the last moment and readied his sword. He then used short-distance teleportation to close the distance and sliced the dragon's neck with his sword.
"Short-distance teleportation and a magic-infused sword combo is the best."
The headless dragon fell. He put the severed head and the body into his item box and searched the room. There was a passage behind where the dragon was, so he carefully proceeded.
Deep inside, there were colorful treasures of gold and silver.
"Dragons are often said to love shiny things, and it's true. I'll take these for my future."
Thus, the treasures were stored in Cain's item box.
When he left the cave where the dragon was, the sun was beginning to set.
"Trouble. I need to get back before anyone notices I went out."
He cast the long-distance teleportation spell and instantly returned to his room.
He took off his armor and changed into his regular clothes. At the same time, he cast a life magic spell to clean himself up.
"Should be fine now. But I wonder if my level has gone up. The last time I checked, it was 8. 'Status'"
