When the lecture on demons was over, the next lecture was outside which was about using physical enhancement.

As we stepped out onto the school grounds, Ren-sensei opened his mouth.

“I know this is unusual for everyone at Sanzar Academy, but we have a class on physical enhancement from the first year. This is done in all of our classes.”

It is said that Central Academy was established for those who could not get into Sanzar Academy.

When it was first established, the school was considered to be a failure.

In years, however, the reputation of the school had been greatly improved.

It was said that the most important factor was the introduction of magic control classes.

At Sanzar Academy, students were educated to unleash powerful magic.

In contrast, the educators at Central Academy, judging that they would never be able to catch up with the same education as at Sanzar Academy, focused on controlling magic power, including strengthening the body.

They thought that even with a small amount of magic power, they would be able to achieve sufficient results.

In fact, this attempt was a success, and Central Academy received excellent results in the “Four Great Festivals” held in the Kingdom of Edel Land.

I was paired with Thor.

“Oh, Owen, right? Nice to meet you.”

“Yeah, nice to meet you.”

Did sensei take this into consideration?

“I’ll explain what we’re going to do. What you will do now is kumite. The movements can be slow. I won’t specify the details of the movements, so feel free to do them. However, please be sure to put magic power into the parts that touch your opponent. This is also a practice for controlling magic power.”

I had done some simple kumite with Katherina-sensei.

I was not sure if I’ll be able to do it again facing Thor.

“I’m not used to this kind of thing, so take your time.”

“Yeah, sure. Okay, I’ll start.

Thor stuck out his right hand.

It was a very slow movement.

I could handle this.

I put magic power into my left hand and caught Thor’s right hand.

Next, I used my right foot to strike Thor in the side of the head.

Then I used my left arm, which he blocked with his left.

After a while, I was drenched in sweat.

The movements themselves were slow, but the constant transfer of magic power within my body meant that I was consuming a lot of energy.

This was more painful than constantly strengthening my body.

It was probably due to the wastefulness of the magic power control.

As proof of this, Thor was only sweating lightly.

“Hey, can I take a break, ……?”

I said, breathing heavily.

Thor seemed to be fine.

We were moving in the same way, but we were so different.

The level of Central Academy may be higher than I imagined.

After that, we had a couple of kumite sessions, but I gave up sooner than he did, and he ended up giving me trouble.

“From now on, we will have you perform hand-to-hand combat using physical enhancement. As a general rule, no magic is to be used.”

No, that’s a disadvantage for me.

I know it’s a lesson in physical enhancement, but I think there’s a power difference.

But as a representative of the Sanzar Academy, it would be embarrassing to pull out here.

I turned to face Thor and bowed my head, saying, “I look forward to working with you.”, and he bowed to me.

The moment Ren-sensei said that, Thor’s mood changed.
