It was the rainy season, clear during the day, but there was the platter of rain in the middle of the night. Wenren Heng suddenly opened his eyes silently, listening to the long and even breathing by his side, sniffing the light fragrance of the spreaded scent of Hundred Herb Dew, and turned over to look at his shidi, slightly waiting for several counted breaths, and saw that his shidi really fell asleep. Just then he let out a true breath and pressed his sleeping acupuncture point. (1)
Ye You’s head crooked and he sunk into a deeper sleep.
Wenren Heng sat up, first explored his internal force, and then propped on the bed, looked at him.
The bandages on Ye You’s head was removed before going to bed, and the beautiful exposed half of his face evoked a hazy outline. Wenren Reng stared with watchful eyes and reached out to touch it, and as he was about to make contact, it was unknown what he recalled, but he hesitated and halted.
The air was weighed down by the night, flowing very slowly, and Wenren Heng’s hand was suspended for a long time. Finally, he only touched his cheek with his index finger and gently rubbed his head.
It is only when you fall asleep that you are a little well-behaved… Wenren Heng thought in his heart. He covered the quilt for him and got out of bed.\n
There was a slight “creak” from the door, and the room returned to quiet.
Ye You’s securely closed eyes suddenly opened and he was patiently lying for a while, before he slowly sat up and got up – if Wenren Heng saw such a calm, unhurried look he will definitely have a little more emotion, after all, he really did press this person’s sleeping point. In any case, Ye You should not be awake.
In fact, even Ye You was very surprised.
He was awake at the moment his sleeping point had been swiftly hit, and simply feigned sleep, prepared to see what Wenren Heng wanted to do, and continued until now.
He felt the cheek that had been touched and thought about whether he would catch up. After a moment, he thought of a good idea, dressed happily and opened the door.
There was a man in black clothing standing outside the door. He heard the movement, hastily turned his head, and immediately was face to face with Ye You.
Ye You: “…”
Man in Black:”……”
When did this person come up? Is it when he fell asleep or just now? So silent, don’t tell me this is Wenren Heng’s secret guard? Ye You turned his thoughts, standing silently, looking blankly.
For a short moment, the Man in Black’s brain was shocked into blankness by his face, and expressionlessly waited, seeing that he did not open his mouth, but only continuously looked at him, decided to greet on his own initiative: “Noble son is awake? Our school master has matters to take care of outside for a trip, he’ll return at once, better noble son rest first.”
Ye You looked like he has not heard, he continued to stare straight at him.
The Man in Black sensed quickly that the person in front of him was not right. He was about to ask, but suddenly thought of the word “nightwalking sickness”(*sleepwalking), dumbfounded, he cautiously and stammeringly asked: “Noble son, you, can you… can you hear my words?”
Ye You did not answer, lifted his foot and walked forward.
The inn is a courtyard layout. A few steps away is a railing. The Man in Black watched helplessly as he extended his neck downward to look, had a scare, and ran up to his side quickly, for fear that he would fall down, but does not dare to call him, because it is said one cannot awaken a person of nightwalking sickness forcefully, otherwise it will harm the person into becoming foolish.
Ye You turned his head and looked at him: “Do you know who I am?”
The Man in Black was pleasantly surprised: “I don’t know, noble son, you are awake?”
Ye You’s tone did not change at all, he asked again: “Do you know who I am?”
“…” The Man in Black wept. Awake my ass! Sure enough, he was still nightwalking!
He shook his head silently.
Ye You approached, looking at him at close range. The Man in Black can only retreat, and his back quickly reached the bright red wooden pillar. He looked at his face and almost held his breath nervously. However, at this moment, Ye You suddenly made a move and quickly hit several acupuncture points.
Man in Black:”……”
The Man in Black can’t make a sound, he can only blink. The first reaction is realizing he had fallen into a trap. When he looked at the person carefully, he found that this person is still just like before. He can’t help but feel deeply embarrassed about his own thoughts.
Ye You unexpectedly delayed his actions, looked at him, and turned around to enter the guest room. The Man in Black thought that he must be going back to finally continue resting, and relaxed at heart, but at the same time remembered the present condition, started to be worried that these days he could have an accident. But he could not worry for too long because somebody turned back quickly, and in hand was Wenren Heng’s dagger, which was pulled out with a “shing” sound.
Man in Black: “………………”
Ye You, under his fearful and apprehensive gaze, was knocking his shoulder with a dagger, asked strangely: “Why haven’t you left?”
Man in Black: “……”
If I could, I would have absolutely ran!
“Not leaving is also good,” Ye You raised his head, revealed a bloodthirsty smile. The breath of the whole body suddenly came out, he held the dagger and slowly moved it to the neck of the Man in Black. He repeated, “Not leaving is also good… …”
Man in Black: “………………”
What the fuck! School master, save me!
Ye You naturally wouldn’t really slaughter him. He meant to gesture to drag the person away, prepared to deceive Wenren Heng.

1)I was really surprised to realize I didn’t put a footnote for acupuncture points in the previous chapter part, where I should have done so. Traditional Chinese Medicine has acupuncture points, which are places that can be hit on the body, with fingers, or needles, etc, for various effects, the usual goal being to cure an illness. It’s definitely not something that should be done randomly.
In Wuxia the effects of hitting points are fictionalized, dramatized or plain old made-up. Here there is a sleeping acupuncture point but in other series I’ve also seen, instances of pressing points can result in a person to be silenced, paralyzed, crippled, laugh uncontrollably, or even die. Pressing points can also help, to enhance fighting ability, heal, or contain the spread of poison.
Thoughts:\n
1) Ye You is so cute ❤\n
2) He touched Wenren Heng’s dagger 😉\n
3) Wenren Heng left him a babysitter :T
I haven’t made an official announcement but I have a ko-fi : https://ko-fi.com/spearpointtranslations
I don’t have a patreon because I don’t have any advanced parts for RMSM. As it is I translate a part on Saturday afternoon and post it. Meanwhile, I have five The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System WIPS (two of which are viable oneshots, two are vague, and one is 20k in outline form) and four Grandmaster of Diabolism WIPs (one of which is an active WIP, one is its sequel, and the other two are ideas did not exist until this week that I intended to be oneshots but will likely end up multi-chapter).
My fics are here, for anyone interested: https://spearpointtranslations.home.blog/fics/
