Chapter 149 – Yang Daya
After washing the strawberries for Renren, second Su sister-in-law shouted into the yard, “Shitao, Renren is here. Come out and play with your cousin.”
Not long after, Su Jindang came out with Shitao in his arms. Su Jindang had just taken a nap. He had to go out early in the morning to collect vegetables. After finishing the morning rush with second Su sister-in-law, he usually went inside at this time to catch up on his sleep.
Shitao had gone to take a nap with his father.

“Aunt.” Shitao greeted Su Danhong.
“Good.” Su Danhong looked at her nephew with a smile. He looked like his father and had been taken care of by his mother. He was strong and smart.
“This is your cousin, Renren. I tell you about him often,” Su Jindang introduced Renren to him.
“Cousin Shitao.” Renren took the lead in greeting him and handed him a strawberry to eat.
Shitao took the strawberry and called him brother.
The two brothers met for the first time, but their personalities meshed well. They soon became good friends. Renren also introduced his brother to him.
Shitao went over to see him and said with surprise, “Your brother is so small.”
“Yes, he is still very small and likes sleeping,” Renren said.
“Can he play with you?” Shitao asked.

After taking care of the customers, second Su sister-in-law turned around and said, “I was wondering if I should hire someone to help me. Someone who is a hard worker and is clean.”
“How much is the pay?” Su Danhong asked.
“It will be 15 yuan a month, but I’ll cover food and accommodations,” second Su sister-in-law said.
“Then second brother can go to the village and ask around, or I can ask Aunt Yang,” Su Danhong said.
15 yuan a month was not too low since it included food and accommodations.
“The main thing is finding someone to take care of Shitao. I can do some of the housework at home, but I can’t do it all,” second Su sister-in-law clarified.
Nowadays, the business in the shop is extremely good. In a month, the profit was about 150 yuan. In addition, when it was a busy month for fruits, it was nearly 200 yuan a month, which was very good.
As everyone’s income increased, they became busier. That’s why she thought of this idea.
Truthfully, her maternal family said that they wanted her niece to come and help, but second Su sister-in-law refused. She didn’t want her business to attract her brothers’ attention.
Aside from her maternal family, she also didn’t want someone from her mother-in-law’s family. She believed more in the judgment of her sister-in-law, Su Danhong, and wanted her to help find someone to hire.
Su Danhong nodded to agree with her. It would not be too difficult for her. “I’ll ask Aunt Yang to help me when I go home. When we find someone, second brother can go check them out. If the person is good, you can hire them.”

Su Jindang drove her and her sons back.
Yang Daya was bringing the freshly washed clothes over to Uncle Yang and Aunt Yang. When she saw Su Danhong and her son going home, she greeted shyly, “Aunt.”
“Oh, it’s Daya. Are you giving them the clothes you washed?” Su Danhong was not in a hurry to go back and smiled.
Yang Daya nodded. “I was free. It’s not hard to wash my grandparents’ clothes.”
“Let’s go together. I want to talk to Aunt Yang,” Su Danhong said.
Originally, she was going to send Qiqi back to bed. However, this boy was refreshed all the way back, so they didn’t go home first.
Yang Daya nodded.
“Danhong came?” Aunt Yang smiled.
“I brought Renren and Qiqi to say hello to Grandma Yang.” Su Danhong smiled back.
“I appreciate it.” She laughed.
She went to wash a tomato for Renren to eat. Yang Daya was already hanging up the clothes. She went over to say something and headed back.
“Although Daya is a bit shy, she is diligent,” Su Danhong commented with a smile.
“That girl is more filial than her mother.” Aunt Yang nodded.
Yang Daya was the eldest granddaughter. Although Aunt Yang and her husband could live by themselves, their eldest granddaughter would come to wash their clothes once she became mature. When she was still young, they didn’t let her. When she was ten years old, they let her wash them. This had been going on for three years. This year, Yang Daya was thirteen years old. She would go to schoo,l then do chores at home.
“I went to my second brother’s shop today and heard my second sister-in-law say that she wanted to find a trustworthy girl to help take my nephew and do some work,” Su Danhong said to start the conversation.
Aunt Yang’s eyes brightened and she said quickly, “Danhong, can you let Daya try? This girl is quick. She is the only considerate one among all my grandchildren. I can promise you that!”
“Aunt, listen to me first. The salary is not high,”  Su Danhong said.
“It’s just for one girl. The salary doesn’t need to be high,” Aunt Yang said at once.
“It’s like this. It’s 15 yuan a month, including food and housing. If she is homesick, she can go back home. They won’t be strict. There’s also a single room over there. To make it more convenient, they plan on letting her live there,” Su Danhong explained.
“It’s quite a lot. 15 yuan a month including food and housing,” Aunt Yang said.
“Aunt, go and talk to Daya. If she wants it, then ask her to prepare for it. In the evening, my second brother will come to transport eggs and chickens. I will take her to the shop in the town. Aunt, you know about that place,” Su Danhong said.
“Okay!” Aunt Yang was so happy.
She didn’t care as much about her other grandchildren, but her eldest granddaughter was extremely filial. She had an okay relationship with her eldest daughter-in-law. The eldest daughter-in-law did not ask Daya to help them wash their clothes. Daya did it because she wanted to be filial to them.
As a grandmother, she hoped that her granddaughter could have a good future.
If she went to the town to help in Su Jindang’s shop, she would absolutely be more at ease about her granddaughter’s future. Later, she would not have to worry as much.
After Su Danhong returned, Aunt Yang immediately went to her eldest son’s house.
