Chapter 227 \nThe next day, Jiang YaGe dolled herself up. She had turned back into that delicate girl that she was ever since she was with Fang JueMing. Fang JueMing had always been generous with her when it came to food and other items.\nShe received call from Zhang Bi when he was just about to arrive and had her opened the door for him.
When Jiang YaGe quickly rushed to the door and opened it up, she saw Zhang Bi standing in front of the unit across from her. She knocked herself on her forehead. Silly her, she had forgotten to let Zhang Bi know that she had already broken up with Li ShiZe.
“Zhang Bi.” She called out to her in her usual affectionate and tender voice.
Zhang Bi lifted his brows in surprise. “You and Li ShiZe moved?” And moved to the unit across from their own one? Who would do such a thing?\nJiang YaGe’s look stiffened a little. She put on a look that was sadness mixed in with fragility. “I have broken up with Shizi.” There were tears on her eyelashes and she couldn’t have looked more pitiful.
Zhang Bi was stupefied. He only maintained a good relationship with Jiang YaGe for the sake of Li ShiZe. During these recent months when his experiments were going nowhere, the existence of Li ShiZe became more and more important. The light smile on him disappeared slowly and the solemn look on his became more aggressive. “Why did you break up? Did you two have a fight?”
What was with that out-love-could-survive-the-end-of-the-world front that they had put up in the past? Li ShiZe even hastened his own father’s death for love. And they had broken up just months after that?
He looked from the door into the apartment and could see a few pairs of men shoes in the foyer and the suit hanging on the patio.\nShrewd. Jiang YaGe. She had already secured herself a next one right after her break up. From the brand of the shoes, her new boyfriend was not some nobody either. As much as Zhang Bi had always thought that Jiang YaGe was an easy woman, this scene in front of him still disgusted him. She looked so innocent and pure but she was so good at seducing men.
“Li ShiZe hasn’t moved yet, has he?” asked Zhang Bi.
Jiang YaGe waited for a while but, instead of asking her about her, he had been talking about her ex-boyfriend this entire time. She had a bad feeling and, her lips moved a bit, and she said, “No.”
Now Zhang Bi was even more certain that the two of them would never get back together. No men could handle an insult like that. No men would be alright watching their girlfriend cheat on them from right across them, let alone a someone of Li ShiZe’s status. As such, Jiang YaGe had lost all values to him. She was pretty and quite seductive, but he had seen many beautiful women. Jiang YaGe’s only value was her status as Li ShiZe’s girlfriend.
\nJiang YaGe was stunned. Zhang Bi was like a completely different person. His coldness and cruelness were very different from the gentle and attentive person that he was before. She walked back into her apartment, dazed, not even remembering to close the door behind her.
What was going her? Didn’t Zhang Bi like her from before? Didn’t he come all the way to deliver the medicine to her today?
