Chapter 52

Commodore Ander gave orders for Marine Soldiers to put down their weapons. Even though they felt reluctant, it was for Lin Tian’s safety.

Garp also emphasized that order. Even so, their encircling formation still hadn’t changed. Garp looked very angry that Rayleigh was holding Lin Tian as hostage now.

When Garp was about to speak, Hancock directed ‘Perfume Femur’ at Rayleigh without hesitation. Luckily Rayleigh reacted quickly. Otherwise, he would have been hit by Hancock’s attack. Rayleigh jumped up and fell backwards.

But Lin Tian didn’t have the same fate, Hancock’s attack hit Lin Tian’s right leg, and his leg turned to stone.

Even though Rayleigh had good intention, Hancock still felt angry.

“Hancock, why did you attack me?”

Hearing Rayleigh’s question, Hancock grabbed her leg and put her hand on her waist and shouted: “Why did you capture my lover? How could I just let you go, let him go quickly!”

Seeing that Hancock still wanted to attack Rayleigh, Shakky approached her and said: “Hey, Hancock, Rayleigh and Lin Tian are just pretending.”

Just then, Hancock realized that her attack hit Lin Tian. Hancock saw Lin Tian’s thighs turn to stone and begin to spread across his legs.

Lin Tian felt relieved when he found his legs had returned to normal.

“Very well Rayleigh, I agree to your terms, but I have a request.” Garp didn’t seem to want to let Rayleigh and his group go so easily.

“Hmm, what request do you have? If it doesn’t cost us any more, I’ll agree to it.”

Despite having reunited after years of separation, Rayleigh remains wary of Garp’s requests, and he must be careful to take action, as he has people to protect.

“Don’t worry. My request is simple enough.” Garp paused and continued: “That is because you dare to put Lin Tian in a very dangerous position, you will have to fight me. If you win, I will let you through! If you lose, you will come with me to the Marine Headquarters.”

Rayleigh showed a smile on his face when he heard Garp’s request. At first, he was worried that Garp would make some requests he couldn’t fulfil, so he didn’t know what to do.

He didn’t expect Garp to have such a request. No, this wasn’t Garp’s wish for him at all, but, it was what Rayleigh wanted exactly.

Rayleigh never thought that he would lose. Even though he was no longer fighting against someone as strong as Garp, and his body’s abilities had decreased, he was still very confident.

Seeing Rayleigh silent, Garp said: “What is it? Does a Silvers Rayleigh want to avoid me?”

To what Garp said, Rayleigh only smiled faintly. Rayleigh wouldn’t be provoked so easily with sarcasm like that.

“Okay I agree, now, let’s do it.”

Garp nodded and gave a firm order: “You guys step back. I don’t want you to get hurt!”

As soon as the voice fell, the Marine Soldiers rushed back and split into two halves on the side of the road, all of them lined up neatly and orderly.

At that time Hancock just realized, but because of her arrogance she did not admit that she was wrong, “No matter what mistake I do, I will definitely be forgiven, it’s because I’m so beautiful!”

From the way they were lined up, it could be seen that the Marine Soldiers under Garp’s leadership were of good quality among the Marine Soldiers at Marine Headquarters.

Rayleigh took Lin Tian and led Shakky and the others towards Garp who was standing in the middle of the road. Once Rayleigh handed Lin Tian over to Garp, Garp would really let them go.

“Lin Tian, even though our meeting was very short but very memorable. I hope that when we meet again, you will already become a stronger person.” Rayleigh said softly to Lin Tian.

Lin Tian answered with certainty: “Of course, you will definitely be surprised by my progress if we meet again!”

“Really? Then I’ll wait to see you at the Sabaody Archipelago.”

Rayleigh was looking forward to Lin Tian’s development. He wanted to know how far the young man would grow.

“Lin Tian, we will be going to settle down in the Sabaody Archipelago, which is quite close to Marine Headquarters. I hope you will visit us often.”

Even though Shakky only met Lin Tian yesterday, but she liked him so much.

Lin Tian nodded and looked forward to those moments, “Don’t worry, I’ll go see you as often as I can. And you have to prepare lots of good food.”

Hancock looked at Lin Tian with sadness on her face. Lin Tian could only smile sadly. Lin Tian was sure that in the future, he would have the opportunity to meet Hancock.

They both promised. If Hancock were in the mood to meet Lin Tian, she would come to Shakky’s bar.

Lin Tian also learned that the world government would invite Hancock to become one of the Sea’s Seven Warlords two years later. Surely there will be many opportunities for the two of them to meet.

As soon as Rayleigh handed over Lin Tian, Garp immediately made way and let Shakky and the others pass.

“You can use one of the boats available at the dock. You can leave this island first, or you want to wait until I finish fighting Rayleigh,” said Garp.

Regarding Garp’s previous request, that was just a word. In fact, Garp just wanted to ‘greet’ his old friend.

They both knew that the result would be a draw. Otherwise, Garp would have caught Rayleigh a long time ago.

Rayleigh also understood what Garp was thinking, so he agreed to Garp’s request.

“Stinky brat, come with the others to get away and wait for me there. Make sure you have a good reason to explain what happened to you and Rayleigh group on this island!”

Hearing the word ‘explain’, Lin Tian felt helpless and walked towards Commodore Ander. Lin Tian knew very well. Garp would not accept whatever reason he uttered; his current life was not easy.

“Commodore Lin Tian, are you okay?” Commodore Ander asked anxiously. After all, the one who caught him was Silvers Rayleigh.

Lin Tian replied: “I’m fine; let’s retreat now, if these two people hear, the destructive power will be enormous.”

For people who possessed power like a monster, they couldn’t just fight around their comrades. So, they will ask their comrades to stay away.

A little later, only two men, Garp and Rayleigh, are left at the port.
