There’s only 2 dog sized ants at first, then suddenly another 3 appeared. Although as they’re just level 20 meaning it’s not a powerful enemy that we can’t defeat, a new one always comes out while we were fighting, completely surrounding us before we were aware of it.

They’re not that strong one on one. Not to mention they can be attacked easily since they’re slow, and they could be almost killed in just one of our attack. However it’s a different story once their number increased. While I killed one of them, another one injured me by biting me from the back. Even if they’re just small insects, the power is strong. Now that they’ve become this size, they’ve become a threat that could take your life.
Everyone had been injured while breathing roughly. Although we recover instantly thanks to the level up, it didn’t really mean much as we receive more attacks from the enemies. I don’t even remember anymore if the number that I’ve killed is 10 or 20.
Shallie whom I put at the base is already closed to tears, looking at us anxiously. Although I tried to tell her that we’re fine, since I discovered an ant trying to climb up the base, I rush up and kills it. There’s no way to defend with the way things are going. Lets try to break through and escape.
Amyl is in charge of the place where the number of enemies are the highest. He’s bleeding here and there, but still desperately swinging his sword. I feel bad looking at him bleeding like that. Explosion magic us the most effective at the place with crowded enemies. If I clear up the group of enemies that Amyl is fighting, I should be able to create a path to retreat.

The falling Amyl tried to say something but I just pick him up. Claire had already recovered Shallie, as Diabell and Lelena can run by themselves. The remnants of the ants start chasing us, forcing me to create earth wall and shoot explosion magic again.
Once we managed to shake off the enemies and catch our breath, all the members just sat down in place. That was a really close call.
“That was dangerous. We could have been annihilated there.”
“That’s right. As the enemies keeps on appearing, I think retreating was the correct judgement.”

Amyl went up from level 27 to 29. Lelena went up from 26 to 28 respectively. Since it’s a fierce battle, it seems that some of Claire’s and Diabell’s skill level had went up. Since I’ve reach the targeted Level 30, I guess I’m already in the range of Gold rank? Even Shallie had reach Level 20. Although I didn’t know whether they have a ranking at the guild, but if there is, she’s going to beat the record the youngest and the fastest at leveling up.
What skill should I take now? Although it’s good to take Swordsmanship to strengthen the vanguard of our party, I’m still an easy target during a confused fight, so it didn’t have that many benefits for the party. Since the current me wont run out of MP even if I fired magic non-stop, I should strengthen my magic right now.
Fortunately, it seems that I can choose 2 skills this time. With that I took 『No ChantLevel 2』 and  『Flame MagicLevel 3』. Lets settle our battle with this.
