Ch52 - The most handsome teammate

Wang family’s spring festival celebration this year is quite different from that of Wang Chao’s imagination.
He used to enjoy spring festivals very much. The entire family would spend the festival together, making dumplings and playing mah-jongg. The celebration would be lively and exciting every year. Moreover, since his parents are here, he would behave better and won’t be beaten up. Within the entire year, there would be a couple of days when he’d feel that he’s the most spoiled son of the family.
This year is completely different.
He’s in a relationship and is in the honeymoon phase. The moment Xie Zhuxing left, he’s been missing him like crazy and was thus already not in a pleasant mood.
After a few days of mah-jongg. On the afternoon of the fourth, Wang Jin was slated to work overtime, Wang Qi headed toward the airport to pick up his wife who had returned from her family, so they couldn’t get a table together for the game. Mr. and Mrs. Wang went on a walk and bought some groceries to prepare for a feast at night. Wang Chao took a nap by himself upstairs.
Once he’s awake, the sky has darkened too. When he opened the curtains, he spotted Wang Qi’s parked car downstairs. Thinking that Wang Qi had returned with his wife, he changed his clothes on purpose and went downstairs to greet his sister-in-law, whom he hadn’t seen for over half a year.
Yet once he got downstairs, his sister-in-law wasn’t there. Her younger brother was there.
His eldest brother had been divorced for a couple of months already.
Because he fucked his wife’s younger brother.
That explains why he didn’t have any kids after eight years of marriage.
This brother-in-law looks like a fox spirit too.
Cheating with his own sister’s husband, what a homewrecker.
It takes two to tango – his eldest brother is an asshole too.
While having dinner together, the more he looked at them, the more he became uncomfortable. He even lost appetite after eating only a couple of his mom’s sauerkraut dumplings, his favorite dumplings.
They ran out of garlic paste, so Wang Qi went to the kitchen to make more.
Wang Chao rolled his eyes at his brother-in-law, and the latter returned the favor. His contempt was even more obvious.
They met each other eight years ago, when Wang Qi got married, and both held contempt for each other. They were middle schoolers then. His brother-in-law was fair and lovely, and had excellent grades too. Wang Chao, on the other hand, was the class clown who constantly failed his exams and got into fights every day. When he got beaten up by Wang Qi after getting into trouble, those “look at your sister-in-law’s younger brother, then look at yourself” comments were so grating on his ears that even hearing the boy’s name made him cringe all over. Later, his brother-in-law went to school for fashion design. He would dress in flamboyant clothes, thread his eyebrows, and even wear nail polish. That made him dislike the boy even more. Moreover, the glaring contrast in Wang Qi’s attitude toward his brother-in-law and him – smothering the former with kindness and the latter with punches – certainly made him envious, even though he may not admit it. Without a filter over his mouth, he told the boy to his face that he was a sissy, which only intensified the existing hostility between them in later interactions.
Wang Chao even began to feel dizzy from rolling his eyes excessively. He couldn’t help but blink his eyes. So, he lost the contest.
Wang Qi came out of the kitchen and sat next to the brother-in-law. The two exchanged an intimate look.
It’s irritating.
Wang Chao put down his chopsticks and said: “I’m full.”
His mother found that strange: “Why did you eat so little today?”
Wang Chao replied passive-aggressively: “Couldn’t stomach more, I’m disgusted.”
The entire table turned to look at him.
He pulled his chair back, stood up, and stomped the entire way upstairs to his room.
He was extremely disappointed by Wang Qi.
The eldest brother he has worshipped since his childhood should not be a gay who cheats on his wife with her younger brother.
He sent a message to Xie Zhuxing: “What are you up to? You free to call?”
Xie Zhuxing called him half a minute later and asked: “Done with dinner?”
He replied: “Somewhat. How about you?”
Xie Zhuxing said: “My mom hasn’t finished cooking yet. What do you mean, somewhat?”
Wang Chao said: “I had a couple of bites, don’t want to eat more.”
Xie Zhuxing said: “What happened again? Didn’t you say that your mom is really good at cooking?”
Wang Chao said: “My eldest brother…” He wanted to tell Xie Zhuxing that he has a bad mood, but he didn’t want to spill any of Wang Qi’s personal business.
Xie Zhuxing said: “What happened with your brother?”
Wang Chao thought about it and then said: “Hey, do you know my eldest brother’s name?”
He’s never mentioned it to Xie Zhuxing, but Xie Zhuxing has heard it from someone else. Thus, he answered: “Yeah, Wang Qi.”
Wang Chao said: “His actual name is Wang Qiqi, which sounds quite feminine. The cop who registered his hukou for him saw that he was a boy, so he wrote one less “Qi” for him. My mom gave birth to him in Qiqihar, my dad named him.”
Xie Zhuxing was amused: “So your second eldest brother was born in Jinzhou?”
Wang Chao laguhed too: “Yeah, isn’t my dad so awesome at naming his kids?”
Xie Zhuxing: “…” He seems to understand who Wang Chao got most of his traits from.
Wang Chao thought of something and asked him: “What does your name mean?”
Xie Zhuxing said: “My grandfather named me. My name was going to be Zhuxing, Zhu of Zhuizhu (chase). The fortune-teller said I lacked wood among the five elements, so he changed it to this Zhu (bamboo).”
The two chatted for a bit more. It wasn’t until Xie Zhuxing’s family told him it was dinner time that they hung up.
Wang Chao was a bit happier than before once he got his mind off Wang Qi and his brother-in-law. Instead, he began to think about Xie Zhuxing. Grinning from ear to ear, he sat on the windowsill with his back leaned against the window, took a selfie of himself with that Cheshire cat smile of his, and posted that with a caption on his Weibo: “The fortune-teller said I lack you among the five elements.”
His fans thought that he was flirting with his fans.
When he checked again after a while, the top comments were from his teammates.
Ji Jie: “Hehe.”
Gao Siyuan: “Don’t get it.”
Yang Xiaomu: “Hahahaha.”
Cheng Yao: “Captain, that’s enough.”
Xie Zhuxing only upvoted the post.
Wang Chao was on his phone until midnight. Wang Qi knocked on his door and asked: “Asleep yet?”
He lay silent in bed.
He normally doesn’t lock his door. Wang Qi opened the door from the outside.
He then pulled his blanket up and over his head.
Wang qi closed the door and said: “Get up, let me explain it to you.”
He sat up straight and snapped at the man at the door: “Explain what? If you really can’t stand your wife, divorce is an option. It’s fine that you prefer men, but why her brother? If I were your wife, I’d be as disgusted as if I had just eaten maggots for a meal for the rest of my life. Stop trying to govern my behaviors in the future. You know, I did wonder why I never learned to behave even after being beaten up all the time – the answer is you. What would I learn from you? You are so shameless.”
Wang Qi: “…”
Their main conflict in the past had been Wang Chao’s ever-thicker skin and ever-more frequent skirt-chasing behaviors. If once wasn’t enough, he’d just beat him up more. As ballsy as Wang Chao could get, he only dared to retort him. From his perspective, Wang Qi is right. He’s right to beat him up, to govern his behaviors since they are all for his own good. Wang Qi is not only a perfect older brother but also an excellent individual who wouldn’t be capable of doing anything so…disgusting.
Heartbroken, he said: “Get out, I’m going to sleep.”
Wang Qi didn’t waste any words and got straight to the point: “His older sister likes women. I didn’t know this when I married her.”
Wang Chao: “…”
So after all this time, his older brother is the one who got deceived into marriage?
Wang Qi explained everything concisely: after he found out that his ex-wife had deceived him, he realized that her younger brother was great, so he got together with him.
Wang Chao’s mind reversed instantly: His eldest brother didn’t do anything wrong, but that sissy brother-in-law is no match for him. He’s very dissatisfied – even if his eldest brother had lost faith in women and turned to men instead, he should have found someone better.
Wang Qi said: “But you’re right in saying that I am shameless. He wasn’t willing at first, I forced him into it.”
Wang Chao: “…”
Wang Qi continued: “Don’t target him all the time. He was already unwilling, the more you target him, he may end up leaving me. By that time, I won’t be happy, and you won’t either.”
Wang Chao: “…”
Wang Qi said: “You got it?”
Wang Chao: “…Yes.”
Wang Qi asked: “What will you call him in the future?”
Wang Chao had to force these words out: “Your wife.”
Wang Qi said: “Alright, go to bed.”
He left.
Wang Chao sat slumped on his bed, very confused.
Growing up, both his older brothers had been ahead of the curve. Why is it that when it comes to relationships, both come out to be blind? His second elder brother doesn’t care about appearance and chose someone who didn’t look that great but ended up getting dumped. His eldest brother only cared about appearance, and look at who he ended up with!
It’s not that he’s bragging – but he’s at least a thousand times better at picking a partner than his brothers.
On the seventh, his partner finally returned to Beijing.
He wore a baseball cap, a pair of masks, and that military green jacket to pick his partner up from the airport. He arrived early and stood at the front of the crowd, leaning over the guardrail and staring at the exit, exultant beyond words.
Xie Zhuxing emerged with a large suitcase, wearing the same baseball cap, mask, and that Versace jacket.
Wang Chao straightened up. They looked at each other through the guardrail, and both grinned until their eyes curved.
They walked parallel to each other in the same direction and met at the end of the guardrail for a big hug.
Then they went back together to Wangjing Xiyuan.
Xie Zhuxing first paid back the blowjob that he owed Wang Chao last year.
Wang Chao became heavier by a couple of pounds over the new year, most of which was concentrated on his hips. He only had to pound or slap his butt a couple of times for the cheeks to shake in waves.
Xie Zhuxing had thought that since they hadn’t had sex in a while, he should take it slow. Wang Chao didn’t want that and thought the other man was too slow. He wrapped his legs around the latter’s waist and began to moan his complaint: “Hubby, my hole itches.”
Then they dedicated a round to new year’s eve and another to the spring festival.
The spring festival round wasn’t even over before he no longer had the itch and began to cry and curse. He attempted to crawl away but got dragged back on the leg by Xie Zhuxing, who then spanked him. Then, he began to moan again.
After the spring festival round, they dedicated another round to the fifth.
This time, he no longer cried nor cursed. He only called out Xie Zhuxing’s name repeatedly.
The fifth round was slow and lasting. The final moment was as if fireworks had erupted all across the sky.
Sex and love grow together.
9 p.m. Xie Zhuxing drove Wang Chao back home and only left after seeing the other man enter his house.
Mrs. Wang asked her son: “Who sent you home? Why didn’t you ask them to come in for a bit?”
Wang Chao’s waist was so sore that he couldn’t stand still. In a rush to go upstairs, he answered: “My teammate. He’s busy still.”
His mom continued to ask: “Which teammate?”
Wang Chao casually replied: “The most handsome one.”
His mom gave it a thought, then asked: “Tomas?”
Wang Chao held onto the stairs and lingered there, beaming as he asked: “You think he’s the most handsome too?”
His mom continued: “Aren’t you two on bad terms?”
Wang Chao leaned over the handrail of the stairs and said: “Don’t listen to the rumors on the internet. We are on amazing terms.”
His mom was happy: “Really? I really thought you were on bad terms. I was so scared that I didn’t even bring it up these past days. He’s my favorite amongst your group. Can you get me his signature or something?”
Wang Chao grinned: “Not to mention his signature, I could even get him to write you a copy of The Diamond Sutra.”
His mom asked: “Is he busy? If he’s not, invite him to come over anytime.”
Wang Chao: “…Let me ask him.”
Bringing Xiao Xie to meet his parents? Like what Wang Qi did a few days ago?
Wang Qi said that sissy was his partner and that he was here to meet his parents, to call them his father- and mother-in-law.
Xiao Xie didn’t say that he was his partner. He was the only person who’s called him hubby, and that was in bed; Xiao Xie never responded to him.
