Wang Chao shoved his clothes away and glared at the other man: “What is up with you again? This is the second time that you’ve suddenly turned hostile right after we slept together! Is your temper tantrum over or not?”
Xie Zhuxing thought to himself: Well, this is the second time that you’ve suddenly started to spout infuriating bullshit right after we slept together!
“Am I wrong for taking your situation into thorough consideration?” Wang Chao sat up and complained as if he was wronged: “I’ve been enough good to you. I don’t even object when you want to be the top, what else do you want?”
He is the one complaining?!
Xie Zhuxing stated harshly: “If I only wanted sex, why does it have to be with you? Why couldn’t I find anyone else?”
Wang Chao couldn’t grasp his main point. He only caught the latter part of the sentence and questioned immediately: “Who else do you want to sleep with?”
Xie Zhuxing was furious: “Do you know how to listen to people?”
Wan Chao was even more furious: “Sure, only you know! I begged my elder brother to refer you for a role in the movie, was that not for your own good? You didn’t even respond with anything nice. I could overlook the fact you tried to shoo me away, but you even said you were going to find someone else for sex? Don’t you dare look for someone else!”
Xie Zhuxing: “…What if I do?”
Wang Chao did not even think through his reply before he threatened the other man: “Then don’t even think about the movie, you won’t even have a spot in this shitty group. Be ready to be the backup dancer again after I ask Kun Ge to fire you tomorrow!”
Not only did Xie Zhuxing’s anger dissipate, he even perceived an unexpected sense of affection from the other man’s threat. He taunted the other man on purpose: “Isn’t it my freedom to sleep with anyone? Have you not had lots of fun fooling around outside? Why are you allowed but I’m not?”
Wang Chao was stunned. After a while, he pieced together a weak reply: “But, but…your daddy here is a virgin down at that entrance, why did you think you’d get to enter without any cost? Do you think you don’t have to be responsible?”
Xie Zhuxing was amused: “How do you want me to take responsibility?”
“Even for someone experienced, I would gift her a handbag after we sleep together,” Wang Chao mumbled, “For a virgin, it should be ten times over.”
Xie Zhuxing continued: “Then shall I buy you ten handbags?”
Wang Chao replied with disdain: “Do handbags mean anything to me? Am I not far richer than you?”
Xie Zhuxing went silent. He wanted to stuff the other man’s mouth with shit again.
After a brief pause, Wang Chao grabbed Xie Zhuxing’s hand and coaxed intimately: “Look, you’ve fucked my virgin ass twice already. How about you stop finding others, and I stop fooling around in the future? We can sleep with each other whenever we have needs, isn’t that nice?”
Xie Zhuxing could hear the rapid drumming of his heart. Softly, he said: “Do you want to be in a relationship with me then?”
Wang Chao, however, was shocked by his words: “…A relationship? No, not that.”
He has never been in a relationship, though he has seen others in one. They would go shopping, watch movies, and make love in hotel rooms. When they were harmonious, they would be very, very sweet toward each other. When they had arguments, however, they would not hesitate to stab each other in the back.
The end result never strayed from two types: they either broke up, similar to Wang Jing, or got married, similar to Wang Qi.
He thought neither type was good. He wanted to be with Xiao Xie as before: eat together, sleep together, work together, and occasionally, have sex with each other. This was sufficient to him.
He has said this much already. Why couldn’t the other man understand?
Xie Zhuxing couldn’t even compose any counterargument. He frowned and said: “Then tell me, what relationship do us two have?”
Wang Chao found the question strange: “Didn’t I already tell you? You’ll be my sugar baby.”
Alright, he wasted all those words on nothing. Wang Chao didn’t even think in the right direction.
Xie Zhuxing shoved him down on the bed and ordered: “Go and sleep then! I’ll go shower.”
Wang Chao was still mumbling his complaints: “This garbage pillow is so stiff that it hurts the back of my head.”
Xie Zhuxing took two steps and turned around again: “You said just now that you won’t fool around outside anymore. If you continue to go, don’t blame me if I get angry at you faster than a page turns in a book.”
Wang Chao laid there and retorted: “Then you can’t go and find someone either. If you do, don’t blame me if get angry at you faster than a page turns in a book.”
Once Xie Zhuxing stepped out of the shower, Wang Chao had fallen asleep on his stomach with drool dripping from his half-open mouth, quite similar to the manner of a pig.
He observed Wang Chao for a moment. One second, he thought this person was the absolute cutest. Yet the next second, he thought this person was a real idiot.
They have had sex twice, and this time, he even kissed him with tongue; before, he wouldn’t have done it even with a goddess. He even said that he’d never fool around outside anymore. Only a paper-thin boundary separated them, yet every time he wanted to cross it, the other guy would always spout a pile of infuriating bullshit that could give him a heart attack.
They were obviously in love. Wang Chao didn’t understand. And he was too embarrassed to voice it.
He touched the pillow. It did feel a bit stiff. He opened Taobao on his phone and bought a pair of memory foam pillows that Wang Chao had mentioned before. Once the order succeeded, he dimmed the lights and went to sleep.
November 8th, Guangzhou International Sports Arena. The second stop of Icedream’s national fan meets.
Due to the intense smog in the northern region, air traffic control had to delay several flights. Their flight, which was scheduled to land at a bit over 9 a.m., didn’t land in Guangzhou until noon. The six members had no time to rest; after they stopped by the hotel for a quick shower, they directly returned to the stage for makeup and rehearsal.
After they familiarized themselves with the stage and practiced the formation of the performances, a wave of sleepiness invaded Wang Chao’s consciousness. Once the music stopped, he began to lie on Xie Zhuxing’s back and watch Ji Jie’s solo rehearsal, half-awake, half-asleep. Mr. Chubby Cheeks was about to show his special rap to the audience. After he walked through it once with the live band and found no problem with it, he then turned around and bowed to thank them. The band applauded him in response.
This band was invited by the sponsor of this fan meet from the local area. Every member of the band seemed young.
Xie Zhuxing noticed one of the keyboard players. That person kept on glancing in his direction. Due to the stage lighting, Xie Zhuxing couldn’t discern the other’s facial features. Could it be someone he knew before?
The rehearsal ended at around five o’clock. Since the fan meet will start at 7:30 p.m., the performers had time to break.
Duan Yikun ordered a box of assorted and cut fruits for the members to slightly replenish their energy. They shouldn’t be too full before the show starts, else it would affect their performances.
Wang Chao ate two pieces of watermelon as he snuggled up on the sofa. His eyelids couldn’t help but struggle to stay open. His head leaned back and in the next moment, he fell soundly asleep with a fork in his hand.
His teammates were afraid of him throwing a tantrum in case they made any noise that woke him up. Thus, every one of them grabbed their plate of fruits and distanced themselves from him.
Xie Zhuxing placed a U-shaped pillow around his neck and sat beside him while scrolling through his phone.
A while later.
“Tomas, hello.” Someone came to speak to him.
He raised his head and answered politely: “Hello.” It’s that keyboard player from the band. Did they know each other before?
Yet, the keyboard player pointed to Wang Chao, who was asleep. Smiling, he said: “Leo and I were classmates from the music school of Minzu University of China. I was too busy during the rehearsal just now, and didn’t even have time to come say hi to him.”
Xie Zhuxing didn’t think much of it. Since they debuted and became famous, it was normal for their old classmates and acquaintances to come to greet them at work. Thus, he nudged Wang Chao and prompted him: “Hey, wake up.”
Wang Chao was drowsy. The moment he opened his eyes, he became irritated: “What? Let me sleep for a bit more.”
Xie Zhuxing said: “Your classmate came to find you.”
Wang Chao straightened his back reluctantly. He still had that brown bear U-shaped pillowaround his neck. Once he stared at the keyboard player for a moment, a scowl appeared on his face, and his tone turned hostile: “Why are you here?”
The keyboard player smiled at Xie Zhuxing and said: “We will have a few words with each other.” He implied that Xie Zhuxing should leave them alone so that the two classmates could revisit their good old times together.
Xie Zhuxing was about to stand up, but Wang Chao tugged on him and said: “Sit here and don’t move. I have nothing to say to him. This is the person I told you about.”
The one who tricked Wang Chao for the latter’s money and used that to pamper his girlfriend? Who then attempted to coax Wang Chao into masturbating with each other?
Xie Zhuxing then finally inspected the man in front of him. He’s not unattractive.
The keyboard player watched him too. Seems that he didn’t expect wang Chao to have mentioned him to Xie Zhuxing.
Wang Chao shooed him away and said: “I really have nothing to say to you. Do you not find yourself annoying? We haven’t seen each other for years, I’ve long forgotten who you are. Don’t say that we know each other ever again.”
The keyboard player couldn’t hold the smile anymore. He turned around and left with a cold expression on his face.
Wang Chao didn’t take this seriously. He only thought his head was heavy and changed to another pose, continuing to sleep with his head now on Xie Zhuxing’s lap.
Xie Zhuxing also thought this was over.
The fan meet at night was buzzing with excitement. Their fans from Guangzhou were very enthusiastic, and the group members’ performances were decent too.
Once the event was over, the six of them were so exhausted they couldn’t even squeeze out another word. They only wanted to have their makeup removed and clothes changed as soon as possible so that they could return to the hotel and rest.
When Xie Zhuxing headed out of the dressing room, he noticed that Wang Chao had disappeared without a trace. Thus, he asked Cheng Yao: “Yaoyao, have you seen him?”
Even without saying his name, Cheng Yao knew that he was asking for the Captain. “He was just having his makeup removed a second ago.” He answered.
Other teammates echoed Cheng Yao’s answer. Though, a staff member replied: “I seem to have seen leo heading toward the bathroom.”
Xie Zhuxing called Wang Chao’s mobile, but the ringing came from his own jacket pocket. He didn’t know when Wang Chao had put it there.
He waited for another while, but Wang Chao still hadn’t returned. Thus, he said: “I will go look for him, in case he’s fallen asleep in the bathroom again.”
Wang Chao had done such a thing when they had just debuted and were attending one event after another. Once the performance ended, he headed to the bathroom and didn’t return for hours. If Xie Zhuxing hadn’t searched for him, he could have slept a whole night on top of that toilet at the event host.
He headed out to search for Wang Chao. The moment he turned the corner, he spotted the latter returning in his direction. He was about to call after him when he noticed that keyboard player catch up from the same corner, shouting: “Xiao Chao, why couldn’t you wait for me to finish my sentence?”
Wang Chao turned his head around to cuss him out: “Why the hell would I want to hear that bullshit coming out of your mouth! Get lost! If you continue, I will beat you up!”
The keyboard player spotted Xie Zhuxing and halted on the spot. With a complicated expression, he turned around and left.
Wang Chao thought he had left due to his cussing and piled on: “Fuck! You’re out of your mind!”
Xie Zhuxing cleared his throat.
Wang Chao turned his head back at the sound. Stunned, he only opened his mouth after a pause: “Why couldn’t you have called my name? What’s up with that cough?”
Xie Zhuxing was bothered by that “Xiao Chao” when he heard Wang Chao’s rather rude questions. “What did your classmate want from you again?” He asked.
Wang Chao’s eyes furtively scanned back and forth again: “Nothing.”
Xie Zhuxing: “…Let’s go.”
He turned and left. Wang Chao hurriedly caught up to his footsteps. Judging by the latter’s expression, he must’ve gotten angry again.
How worrisome. Why is Xiao Xie’s mood even harder to discern than that of girls?
Once they were back at the hotel, each member headed with their roommate toward their rooms. Every time they performed at more distant locations, each member continued to room with their respective roommate during group training.
Xie Zhuxing stayed silent the entire time. Unable to bear his silence, Wang Chao confessed voluntarily: “Would you stop with that donkey face? If I let you know what happened, would you stop then?”
Xie Zhuxing: “…” Who are you calling a donkey?
Wang Chao scratched his head and explained: “I met him while using the bathroom. I didn’t want to speak to him but he insisted on having at least a few sentences. At any rate, I have more than two million fans and want to preserve my reputation. I came to perform here; if I had fought someone in that bathroom, then that wouldn’t be anything decent to speak of, don’t you think?”
Xie Zhuxing: “Stop rambling, get to the point.”
Wang Chao: “…” Xiao Xie was real unhappy then. Before, even if he had rambled on and on, Xiao Xie would patiently wait for him to finish.
He thus stopped rambling and went straight to the point: “He said he liked me.”
Xie Zhuxing: “…then?”
Wang Chao continued: “I said what’s your problem? He said he didn’t have any. I said get lost. He wouldn’t. So I shoved him and left. But, he had to chase after me to speak again. Well, I didn’t want to listen to it, so I told him didn’t you know your daddy here is straight? He said you used to be straight, but you’re definitely not anymore. I said fuck off, your daddy here will be straight to the last day of his life. He still wanted to chase after me and nag me more, and that irritated me so much. Right at that moment, you came. He probably thought it was humiliating, so he left.”
Xie Zhuxing: “…” How vivid of a description.
Wang Chao became angry again from his own description: “I used to be so nice to him at school, but he tricked me for my money. Whenever I see him now, I only want to beat him up. Yet, he was even attemping to butter me up – does he think I’m an idiot?”
Xie Zhuxing thought to himself, aren’t you an idiot? He’s got his eyes on you ever since college, but you didn’t even know.
He didn’t say anything though, since Wang Chao didn’t want to see that man anyways.
He took off his clothes and was about to shower. Wang Chao hurriedly stripped himself clean too. “Together,” He said with a lewd smile.
Xie Zhuxing: “…” You sure you will be straight to the day you die?
They began to shower. Wang Chao both moaned loudly from the pleasure and, at the same time, complained about how big Xie Zhuxing was.
Xie Zhuxing was petty, however, and asked him: “Who called me a donkey?”
During such times, Wang Chao never retorted. He either whimpered or moaned, and those sounded alluring too.
Once they finished their “shower,” the whole bathroom was flooded with water. After Wang Chao had gone to bed, Xie Zhuxing wiped the ground with a towel again. Otherwise, when they check out early tomorrow and the housekeeper comes to clean, they could tell what had happened here last night with one simple glance.
