Everyone had drunk except for Wang Jin. After the meal, he was responsible for bringing Liang Xi home while Wang Chao called a taxi.
“Liang-ge, tomorrow at 8pm, our company is going to release Xiao Xie’s personal profile,” Wang Chao said to Liang Xi. “Make sure to share it and compliment him a bit.”
Liang Xi was a bit annoyed. “You’ve already said it like seven or eight times already. If you keep on yapping, I’m not gonna do anything.”
He left with Wang Jin.
Wang Chao rested on Xie Zhuxing’s shoulder, trying to recall with uncertainty. “Did I really say it seven or eight times?”
Xie Zhuxing, “
Four times.”
“I don’t feel like I said it that many times. If he doesn’t do it tomorrow, then I’ll give him another call.”
“Don’t. He’s not in the same company as us after all. Sharing it might not be convenient. If he shares it then whatever, but if he doesn’t then don’t go bothering him,” warned Xie Zhuxing.
Wang Chao slapped his back and said, “He has about 20 million followers on Weibo. His random sharing is way more effective than the company’s marketing. Are you dumb?”
Xie Zhuxing, “
” You idiot, who’re you calling dumb?
Of course he knew that Liang Xi helping him gain popularity was a good thing.
During the whole dinner just now, other than when they met and greeted each other, Liang Xi basically didn’t pay attention to him at all. Wang Chao introduced his full name and Liang Xi didn’t remember it. When they were leaving, he said, “Xie
”, then was stuck. In the end, he just went along with Wang Jin when he said, “Xiao Xie, when you have time in the future, let’s hang out again.”
In Liang Xi’s eyes, he was just a close friend of Wang Chao’s who had come along with a meal – even remembering his name was too much of a hassle. Adults wouldn’t listen to Wang Chao’s naive boasting about how “he was a good person”. Liang Xi and Wang Jin wouldn’t think that “he was a good person” just because Wang Chao had said so. For Liang Xi, who had more than 20 million followers, his casual posting was enough to make headlines; the business value was estimated to be worth six figures. Why would he help him share his post? Isn’t it just for the sake of Wang Chao?
Wang Chao and Liang Xi have been friends since childhood. It was easy to do this kind of thing for each other. But how was he going to pay Wang Chao back?
More importantly, he knew very clearly why Wang Chao wanted to help him. It wasn’t because he wanted to do a favor—that guy didn’t have those types of thoughts—he just wanted him to be nice to him.
Like an idiot.
When the driver came, the two sat in the back and went home together.
Xie Zhuxing only drank a little bit; he wasn’t influenced at all. Wang Chao had drunk quite a bit, but he wasn’t drunk, just a bit tired. Once the car started moving, he laid against Xie Zhuxing and started dozing off.
When they got home, Wang Chao took off his shoes but didn’t bother putting on his slippers. He walked inside barefooted, complaining about how hot the weather was. He took off his t-shirt and collapsed onto the sofa ordering, “Xiao Xie, give me a can of beer.”
Xie Zhuxing went to the fridge and got a can of beer. He opened it and gave it to him.
Wang Chao sat there limply and drank a few large gulps. He burped a few times then laughed. “If I burped like that at home, Wang Jin would definitely pinch me again.”
He wasn’t wearing anything from the waist up. Xie Zhuxing looked at his waist, Wang Chao’s was pretty pale in comparison to the pinched marks on his waist, making it more attention catching.
“Your second brother looks refined, but who knew he’d be so cruel?”
“He’s completely different from Wang Qi. Wang Qi straight up just beats me, but he’s not the same. When Wang Jin’s nice to me, he’s super nice. A few years ago, I went to the hospital for kidney stones. In the beginning, he bought  food and asked his co-workers to take care of me. But then after talking to them, he flipped and beat me in front of everyone, not even saving me any face.”
Xie Zhuxing was curious. “Why did he beat you out of nowhere?”
Wang Chao flattened the empty beer can and said, “Because the kidney stones were formed from too much physical movement. His colleagues told him  I had a muscle strain in my waist and kidney deficiency.”
Xie Zhuxing, “
”
Wang Chao wasn’t ashamed; in fact, he boasted as he continued, “I had just graduated then, so I was pretty bored. I had a friend who introduced twins to me. They said they spent some time with them before and that they were pretty good. So I went on a vacation with them to Spain and enjoyed it a bit too much. They actually looked pretty decent, but their tits were huge. The younger one moaned espec—”
Xie Zhuxing didn’t want to listen  anymore. He stood up and said, “I’m going to take a shower. We have to go to the company early tomorrow.”
Wang Chao said from behind him, “What are you shy for? We’re all dudes. Isn’t it just sex?”
Wang Chao was left by himself. He drank beer as he thought back to the times he had with those twins, feeling a bit distracted.
Xie Zhuxing came out of the bathroom when he was done taking his shower. Wang Chao followed him as he pushed open the bedroom room and walked in.
He sat by the bedside and Wang Chao followed suit. He wanted to lean on him, but he hid to the side.
Wang Chao wasn’t happy. “What are you doing? What are you being so shy for?”
Xie Zhuxing was too lazy to go along with him right now. He continued drying his hair.
Wang Chao, “Xiao Xie
how about we try that?”
“That?”
Wang Chao said suddenly, “Don’t guys in male dormitories jack off together all the time? Let’s try it.”
Xie Zhuxing, “
Who told you that nonsense?”
Wang Chao was surprised. “They don’t jack off?”
“
”
He felt very awkward. They slept in the same bed at night, how could he not be?
He asked, “So you’ve done it with other people before?”
Wang Chao, “Nope.”
His face was flat, he didn’t seem to be lying.
Xie Zhuxing was suspicious. “Then what do you mean male dormitories usually do that?”
“I’ve never lived in dormitories. But I heard from someone else that guys in male dormitories usually help each other out.”
Xie Zhuxing had nothing to say then. “Then who told you this nonsense?”
“One of my classmates told me ah. He said these types of things are normal in male dorms. He even pulled me aside and asked me to do it with him once.”
Xie Zhuxing, “
Then?”
“I didn’t feel like doing it that day, so I didn’t do it.”
Xie Zhuxing looked at his face, then looked at his naked upper body. His face was quite attractive; his skin was tender and pale. He often liked to whine and chatter like a child, always sticking close to whoever he’s close to.
Wang Chao followed his gaze and looked down at himself. “What are you looking at?”
“Is that classmate of yours gay?”
Wang Chao, “
Huh?”
Xie Zhuxing scolded him again as he failed to meet his expectations. “Are you an idiot? Other than a homo, who would have the interest in touching after another person like that?”
Wang Chao’s was dumbfounded. “
No way. He had a girlfriend that’s older than him. I’ve even met her before. She’s pretty attractive.”
“You’re still in contact with him?” Xie Zhuxing asked.
Wang Chao suddenly remembered some old events and angrily said, “I’m not in contact with him anymore. His old girlfriend was just like yours- super good at spending another guy’s money! He couldn’t afford it so he came to me and lied for money. Today he would say his dad got into a car crash, then tomorrow he would say his mom’s sick. I was pretty close with him, and I had money, so I gave some to him. Then I found out it was all a lie. I beat him up and then that was that.”
Xie Zhuxing, “
”
Wang Chao, “The more I think about that person, the more I get mad. During that period of time, I was totally devoted to him, just like I am to you right now. But in the end, he only thought of me as a money tree. That’s why I don’t like Gao Siyuan. I knew he wasn’t some good guy after hearing him talk.”
He wrapped his arms around Xie Zhuxing then said, “I wish I could’ve met you earlier. You’re not like them.”
He really felt that Xiao Xie was different from other people. Other than those in his family, Xiao Xie was the one who was nicest to him: he wasn’t after his money, and he didn’t care about his background.
Xie Zhuxing didn’t know what to say. He then thought of what he just did and looked at the hand on his shoulder. “Did you wash your hands?”
“I washed it already. Smell it if you don’t believe me.”
He pushed his hands under Xie Zhuxing’s nose, but then he grabbed his hands and threw them aside. “Get lost! Who wants to smell that?”
Wang Chao sniffed it himself, then said, “I just washed it. There’s no smell.”
The more Xie Zhuxing looked at him, the more he thought he was an idiot. “Guys in male dorminiarites don’t help each other jack off. Stop sticking close to other guys in the future. Don’t you think it’s nasty? I know you like girls, but if others didn’t know, they would think you’re straight! Especially with types like your old classmate, they were taking advantage of you, but you think they were being close to you!”
Wang Chao thought  he was looking down on him. He said angrily, “You’re talking about me? You wake me up, buy me breakfast, and help me wash my clothes everyday. If I didn’t know you liked girls, and if others didn’t know, I would’ve thought you were gay and wanted to date me!”
Xie Zhuxing, “
”
Even if he was actually gay, he wouldn’t want to date this idiot.
