A small lamp illuminated the bedroom.
Li Shuoxing leaned against the head of the bed, his fingers tapping aimlessly on the screen; sliding to the lounge, then sliding to the courtyard, but, sliding back and forth, he finally unconsciously returned to the bedroom.
He stopped here, positioned his screen at the edge of the bed, and quietly watched the little person.
What exactly did the cub dream about?
Why did Mingqian become the way he is now?
Did he have an illness or get in an accident?
Or did something else happen that’s not the above possibilities?
There can’t be any other possibility.
What else would a scientist encounter in peacetime, other than accidents like diseases, and car crashes?
Li Shuoxing thought about it, but had no clue. He was a little distracted and really didn’t plan to sleep, so he simply put on his clothes and got out of bed. He turned on his computer, browsed through his documents, and prepared to write.
Write a little when there’s nothing to do; happiness for you, me and them!
It had been two and a half months since the opening of Nine Crossings , and its total word count was almost at half a million. The plot had progressed to the middle of the third civilisation, and the new civilisation was just beginning to take shape.
Two moons appeared in the sky.
One was a normal moon, and the other was a mosaic moon.
The two moons were hanging in the sky at the same time. One disk, one square; one west, one east. The contrast was extremely harsh, and it looked a little funny.
But the results weren’t funny.
The rising of this new moon caused Earth to experience a new gravitational pull, and the disrupted gravitational field caused frequent disasters on Earth. Many disasters that occured once in a century happened frequently in a very short period of time, destroying cities and devouring populations.
It was just hanging there, yet the world had experienced endless chaos due to its presence.
So, after a lot of calculation and deduction, all of mankind made a difficult and painful decision.
They planned to use the moon as a weapon, to push it, change its trajectory, and destroy the “new moon”.
For mankind’s survival and for Earth’s safety, they decided to give up the moon!

Ten o’clock in the morning.
A group of update chasing book friends reported on time as usual, opening Nine Crossings ’s page and reading the contents of the new chapter.
They burst out laughing in the next second.
“LMAO, what direction is this going in? Represent the moon to destroy you?”
“Attack of the moon!”
“But what did the moon do wrong? Save the child; save the moon!”
“I’m a bit panicked. How will Eunuch write the next part? The moon won’t really go cold, right? It’s only the third civilisation. If the moon is getting cold, the sun will be dangerous too!”
After reading the new chapter, these book friends posted comments in the discussion forum like usual.
But somehow, it seemed that there weren’t many book friends joining the discussions today. The posts had been sent out five minutes ago, and they were still cold and quiet.
What’s going on? Maybe no one’s awake today, so they can’t catch up to read the article?
They were puzzled and refreshed the discussion forum, then suddenly saw many new discussions come up: all of them, without exception, wolf roars.
“Fuck me, isn’t that a little too hot?”
“Sister Qian, my marriage!”
“Shit, what Sister Qian, it’s Emperor Qian!”
?!?!
A certain group of book friends in the discussion forum were puzzled.
How come we have no idea what you’re talking about?
They went back to the table of contents page and refreshed it. Then they were shocked to find that in addition to the three chapters they had just read, there was also a long list of unread updates, totalling twelve chapters, all of which had just been added.
The book friends were confused.
What kind of festival is happening today?
How could Eunuch update fifteen chapters without warning?
Most importantly.
They read the latest chapters.
After the world had worked out their plan against the “new moon”, all the capable people from all over the world joined in the confrontation against this civilisation. Those who could not enter the universe to fight stayed on Earth, plunged themselves into the centre of natural disasters, and with all their strength and by all means possible, sacrificed their lives to eliminate the disasters; while those who could enter the universe, led by Su Mingqian, went all the way to the “new moon” to achieve their operational objective of dismantling its external defensive energy.
The “new moon” sent a large fleet to stop the people.
Su Mingqian removed his pocket watch from his chest.
When he opened it, there was no clock inside, only two spirals that looked like human DNA.
The pocket watch started to wobble.
Then, he closed his eyes, held the pocket watch, and stretched it out flat in front of him, his brain waves controlling the brains of the life forms in front of him through the conquest of the pocket watch.
Cunxing turned into a black mist.
This black mist, with a slight human form, assumed the same posture as Su Mingqian and enveloped behind him, like a hug, like a fit. It was as if he was a part of Su Mingqian’s body, and as if he was holding Su Mingqian in his arms.
He expanded Su Mingqian’s brain waves, that were amplified by the watch, so that they could cover all life forms in front of him, so that Su Mingqian could directly manipulate their behaviour, to make them explode with the most brilliant light in the dark universe.
The boundless universe, the countless planets, the endless treasures, the infinite life.
It was here that they all lived and died.
This was the most magical place to be born, and the most terrifying place to die.
When this grand image was described in words and formed in people’s minds, the book friends had already collectively suffocated.
Male readers: Hot! Blood! Boiling!
Female readers: Gay! Love! Radiating!
What kind of writing is this???
They cried.
“Eunuch, fifteen updates aren’t enough. Can we have more?”
“Eunuch, let’s keep it simple. Keep the adult world simple. How about a Silver Alliance for an update?”
However, it was impossible to get extra updates, and it was equally impossible to give extra rewards.
Having learned a lesson from his previous Million Alliance, this time, Li Shuoxing posted a single chapter soon after the his fifteen update burst, which directly said:
“Love the author and reasonably urge. No extra updates, no rewards.”
He burst fifteen chapters all the way, and stopped at the chapter which was the most exciting, but also the most satisfying for Li Shuoxing. He refreshed his comments and was happy when he found that everyone started wailing and howling.
Well, people really have to learn to deal with themselves.
Once you encounter something unpleasant in life, you can find something pleasant to do.
Like explode, and then get stuck in the most explosive place.
It’s very pleasant to have the readers look forward to the developments in the plot with me.
