The wheelchair, on its way, didn’t stop beside Li Shuoxing.
The sound of its wheels came nearer, then farther away, leaving only a light fragrance behind for Li Shuoxing.
Su Mingqian’s figure, along with his skin stained with peach blossom, disappeared from Li Shuoxing’s sight.
The wheelchair stopped next to the bath.
Su Mingqian reached out and tested the water. It was just the right temperature, so he turned his head and called out to Li Shuoxing, “Ximu, the water’s ready. Let’s start.”
Li Shuoxing’s nervous, racing heart was a little out of balance. He did a mental build-up, waiting for himself to calm down a little before he turned his head and walked over to the bath while rolling up his sleeves. “Okay, I’ll take off your clothes. By the way, cub, do you have any bath salts?”
He asked as if in passing.
Bath salts were a good thing. They could turn clear water into coloured water. Although they couldn’t completely insulate the temptation, it was more or less a bit of a cover.
“Add some to it. It’ll relieve your fatigue,” Li Shuoxing said hypocritically.
Su Mingqian thought for a moment, then pointed to a corner of the bath. “There’re milk bath salts, and rose petals next to them. You can add them together.”
Li Shuoxing, who had taken out the bath salts as soon as he heard Su Mingqian mention them, suddenly froze.
He was holding the bath salts, but could neither enter nor retreat. “Why… do we need to add rose petals?”
Su Mingqian: “I got them as a complimentary gift when I bought the milk bath salts, so I might as well use them up together this time.”
Li Shuoxing found himself unable to argue. “…Okay, I’ll add them in together.”
With that, Li Shuoxing heavily sprinkled the bathtub with milk bath salt, until the water in it had completely turned milky white. Only then did he take a breath. Then, he picked up some flower petals and threw them in.
The complimentary box of rose petals was quite well made. Red petals and purple petals were mixed together, the red like wine and the purple like satin. Sprinkled in the water, it looked… a little stirring.
Li Shuoxing’s eyes moved away from the bathtub and back to Su Mingqian.
Su Mingqian was looking down and unbuttoning his shirt.
Button after button broke free from its buttonhole. The clothes that he’d been neatly dressed in a second ago were on the floor the next, like a white bird napping on the ground. Shortly after, his lowered head lifted. “Ximu, pants…”
Li Shuoxing kept his eyes firmly on Su Mingqian’s face. “I’ll help you.”
He calmly squatted down in front of Su Mingqian, let Su Mingqian’s hands wrap around his neck, put one arm around the man’s waist, and lifted him from the seat.
Su Mingqian’s soft body pressed against Li Shuoxing’s body the moment he left the seat.
Li Shuoxing could feel a lot of things. He even lost control of himself for a moment. He immediately raised his hand, firmly clasped Su Mingqian’s head, and pressed the other’s face against his shoulder.
There was probably a few seconds of silence.
Then, Su Mingqian asked, “Ximu?”
Li Shuoxing: “It’s nothing. I was a bit worried that you’d fall down, so I held on to you.”
Su Mingqian: “Mm.”
Li Shuoxing secretly inhaled. His senses moved down to his waist, where the other’s belt buckle was stuck on. It was probably the only hard thing on the whole soft body in his arms.
His hands were moving downwards at the same time.
He touched the cold, hard metal buckle, the sharp edge scraping against Li Shuoxing’s fingers with a slight pain that sharply contrasted with the soft, warm skin Li Shuoxing’s other hand was encircling.
Li Shuoxing’s fingertips, unconsciously, gently rubbed.
“Ha.”
A low laugh rang out in the bathroom. Su Mingqian was like a caterpillar, wrapping his arms around Li Shuoxing’s neck and slowly curling up to his side, before saying, “It tickles, Ximu…”
Li Shuoxing also felt a little ticklish.
The other’s voice was like a feather hidden in his heart. Every time Su Mingqian said a word, the feather would tickle his heart.
Li Shuoxing was silent for a long time, and then dryly responded, “…Mm.”
The belt buckle, which he’d been fumbling with for a long time, finally came undone with a soft click, and slipped away from Li Shuoxing’s fingers. Then it was the button, then the zip. Li Shuoxing was already sweating all over by the time he’d managed to take off Su Mingqian’s pants.
But, he’d finally completed this step.
Li Shuoxing was about to lower the man into the water when Su Mingqian suddenly said, “Wait, there’s one more.”
Su Mingqian’s shirt and pants had been removed at this point in time, and the only thing left would be…
Once he realised what the other was talking about, Li Shuoxing, who was strictly looking at Su Mingqian’s cheek, froze. His eyes couldn’t resist a glance down, then, they darted back up and continued to fixate on Su Mingqian’s face.
He couldn’t help but seriously look at Su Mingqian.
But the other was very calm, even looking back at him with a hint of doubt.
…It’s all because it’s too complicated inside my head.
Li Shuoxing repented for his mistake and said to Su Mingqian, “Sorry, I forgot. Cub, hold onto me a little tighter.”
Su Mingqian obediently held on.
Li Shuoxing’s fingers hooked around the last piece of cloth.
With a tug and a pull, he quickly removed the last restraints from the man’s body, then inserted his other hand into the crook of his leg and princess-carried him straight into the bathtub.
The pool’s milky white water submerged his equally pale skin, the petals scattered on the surface of the water rippling with the current, slowly drifting towards Su Mingqian’s arms and legs, like a baby’s mouth, sucking and finally sticking on.
Li Shuoxing was sweating all over.
I don’t know whether I’m hot from my actions or hot from watching.
But fortunately… it was really smart of me to add the bath salts in advance.
Li Shuoxing’s heart calmed a little. “Cub, wash your hair first?” he said to Su Mingqian.
Su Mingqian nodded obediently. “Okay.”
The overhead shower turned on with his affirmation.
Water instantly sputtered out and fell into the bath, sending heavy ripples throughout the bathwater.
Li Shuoxing put his hand under the water and tested its temperature. After he made sure it was okay, he called out to Su Mingqian, “Cub, close your eyes.”
Su Mingqian nodded once again. “Mm.”
He closed his eyes, the butterfly folding its wings and perching peacefully on his eyes.
The current moistened his hair and his curls grew subdued, clinging to Su Mingqian’s neck behind his ears along with the current. His broad forehead was exposed, and so was the bridge of his high nose. A drop of water fell from his hair, slid over the corner of his eye, and went all the way down his cheek to his lips, moistening the thin lip slit.
This moving droplet seemed to annoy him.
Su Mingqian, who’d been quiet, suddenly shook his head. His head bumped into Li Shuoxing’s hand, knocking the nozzle out of his hand and spilling the water over half of Li Shuoxing’s body as it fell.
Su Mingqian then opened his eyes and asked with concern, “Ximu, are you okay? Water got into my eyes just now.”
Li Shuoxing: “I’m okay.”
Su Mingqian looked at Li Shuoxing. “Your clothes are wet…”
Li Shuoxing was just about to say that he’d go out and change, but Su Mingqian had already naturally taken over.
“You might as well take off your clothes and come in too, so you don’t catch a cold. The bath is big. I’ll give you a spot and we’ll wash together.”
Li Shuoxing’s hand that had just picked up the showerhead slipped, and it fell back into the bath.
“This, this this, this isn’t too good, is it?” he stammered.
Su Mingqian was slightly puzzled. “What’s not good about this? Ximu, you’re a bit strange tonight…”
Li Shuoxing denied it. “No, absolutely not. How am I strange?!”
Su Mingqian: “Then why’re you so hesitant? Are you worried about something?”
Li Shuoxing: “Don’t talk nonsense. I’m not hesitating. I think your idea’s very good. Just wait, I’ll get in.”
He said and, with a surge of courage that rushed up from the bottom of his heart at that moment, stripped off his clothes. Then, using a small towel to protect his most crucial spot, he held his breath and dived into the bath.
The warm water enveloped him up and, before Li Shuoxing could properly sit in the bath, a hand was placed on his shoulder.
Li Shuoxing’s body stiffened.
“Ximu, I’m tired. It’s a bit hard for me to move,” Su Mingqian said.
Li Shuoxing suddenly felt nervous. “Cub, are you okay…”
Before he finished his sentence, Su Mingqian then quietly suggested, “You can hold me on top of you and help rub my back.”
With that, a hand went across to Li Shuoxing’s chest.
The hot air that filled the bathroom began to roll and trickle over the surface of Li Shuoxing’s skin that was exposed to the hot water. Even Su Mingqian’s voice had become moist and warm in his ears.
Li Shuoxing: “…”
Li Shuoxing grabbed the hand that had run up to his chest and lit a fire.
He gritted his teeth. “Cub, you did that on purpose!”
A low grunt came from beside him.
Su Mingqian came up beside Li Shuoxing and bit the man’s neck, fiercely. “I did it on purpose. Ximu, besides choosing to accept it, you can also choose to accept it.”
Accept, or, accept?
Was this a multiple-choice question?
The moment that Li Shuoxing hesitated slightly, a body warmer than the water pressed against his skin. He was gently encircled as Su Mingqian came into his arms.
“Ximu…”
Su Mingqian kissed Li Shuoxing, lightly.
Then, his soft lips followed Li Shuoxing’s contours downwards, first coming to his chin, then moving to his neck.
This was his touch above the water’s surface.
Li Shuoxing could feel something more beneath its surface.
…
The temperature of their bodies kept rising.
Su Mingqian’s panting became more and more intense as time passed, and the critical point was coming.
Just as Su Mingqian’s mind was wandering, a question suddenly sounded in his ear, soft and filled with persuasion: “Cub, you said something in my ear that night when you were dancing in the game. You said, ‘I want you to…’ What did you want me to do?”
Su Mingqian could no longer concentrate. He instinctively replied:
“How do you know that… I, what I wanted to say was…
“I want you to do anything to me…”
Li Shuoxing: “Does this now count?”
Su Mingqian: “…Mm.”
The other’s words fell into Li Shuoxing’s heart.
He could no longer hold back his desire, and, with those words, it spurted out at the same time as Su Mingqian’s.
The fog in the bathroom cleared.
Li Shuoxing carried Su Mingqian, who had his hair blown dry and was cocooned in a towel, out of the bathroom and into the master bedroom next door.
He placed the man on the bed, lifted the covers to cover him, tucked in the corners, and only then got onto the bed from the other side and entered the covers.
He poked Su Mingqian through the covers. “Tired?” He grumbled a little. “Your body’s not well yet, but you dare do this…”
Su Mingqian gave him a small smile, half of which was hidden inside the towel. “We didn’t do anything much.”
Li Shuoxing’s gaze first rested on Su Mingqian’s slightly red lips, then shifted to Su Mingqian’s slender, pianist-like hands. “We clearly did everything except the last step…”
“We call this a definitive relationship. A definite relationship in human biology.”
Su Mingqian lifted his eyes.
There was a sparkle in those eyes, like a diamond shining in the daylight.
However, Li Shuoxing wasn’t fooled this time.
He directly pulled up the covers to cover up those seductive eyes.
He translated Su Mingqian’s scientific definitive statement into a literary sentence: “In other words, you are mine and I am yours.”
A muffled laugh came from underneath the covers.
And then there was no more movement.
Li Shuoxing kept the person covered for a while, then pulled open the covers and quietly glanced in to find that the person inside had closed his eyes and was quietly resting.
So, he pulled the covers down again and properly covered Su Mingqian’s chest.
Then, he lay down and closed his eyes to rest.
After he had closed them for just a short while, he opened them again, stretched out his hands to his side, and took the person into his arms so they could rest together.
