Liza lowered her voice and whispered so that Nanalee couldn’t hear her.
“I’m sure Mel you can see right through with your [Divine Eye]”
Certainly. I could easily tell if this town is cursed or not.
“But it’s crazy to believe it. Higher curses take many years and even lives to perform. There’s no way you’d put it on the town you live in. That’s ridiculous.”
Liza was angry and pouting, her shoulders slumped as she continued.
“But I’m in trouble. I can’t undo Sylphy’s spell if she’s being held in prison.”
“We have to help the old lady,” Clara said.
“We have no way to prove her innocence. Mel’s powers are a secret……”
That’s right. That’s what I’m trying to figure out. How do I convince them to keep my abilities a secret?
Depending on the situation, should I say that I am a rank A “Appraiser” ? In addition, “Sword of the Hero” has a special effect that can disguise the status of its owner.
Hmmm…..
Liza adds another troubling circumstance.
“Even if we help her, she and Nanalee will end up spending their lives on the run. Well, I suppose they could just flee the country, but that would be a lot of trouble too.”
At this point, Sylphi also intervened.
“I can’t leave an innocent person to be wrongly judged.”
They all fell silent.
I could feel everyone’s eyes gathering on me.
“All right, let’s go help the old lady.”
Everyone’s face lit up instantly.
I can’t stand it though. I just wanted to speed up the undoing of the spell on Sylphi.
To be honest, I didn’t want to get too involved in this issue.
It would probably make a lot of people unhappy.
I can read information that others can’t, and anticipate their actions, but I can’t exactly see into the future. So it’s just a guess, but somehow, I have a feeling.
But that’s why–
“I’m getting excited! let’s all hurry to the old lady’s place.”
As long as I’m involved, I don’t want to make anyone unhappy.
Let’s work as hard as we can to make sure that everyone ends up happy.
(T/N: Exact thinking like a harem protag. Lol)

So here we are, at the lord’s residence castle.
It’s less than half a day’s walk north of town. There are several spires stretching out against the steep cliffs. Using Liza’s limited skill, “Wind Spirit Clothing,” we easily climbed over the high walls, taking advantage of the guards’ blind spots and gazes.
Once we entered the grounds, we went through the window into the castle without anyone noticing.
I knew exactly where the patrolling soldiers were going and what they were doing. We smoothly made it to the entrance of the dungeon.
There were two soldiers standing in front of the stone stairs leading to the basement. They looked somewhat sleepy.
As expected, I can’t avoid rough stuff.
I read the information on the Legendary Hero, Earth Drago, from the Sword of Heroes.
I quickly knocked them out.
In the meantime, the two soldiers who had been knocked unconscious were placed in a face-down position, holding their knees. It’s a great way to make sure you don’t get caught napping.
That should buy us a little time, right?
Running down the stairs, we made a straight line to the far end of the room. I kicked in the thick door.
“Oh my God”! A old lady with wrinkles jumped up in surprise.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
“Grandma!”
Nanalee pushed me away and jumped on the old lady.
“It’s Nanalee. What brings you here? No, how did you get here?”
“These guys, they gave me a hand.”
The old lady looked at us suspiciously and warily while patting the head of a sobbing Nanalee.
“I don’t think it’s righteous indignation…… What do you want with this old hag?”
I step forward and tell him what I want.
“I’ve come to ask you to lift the Curse of Oblivion.”
“Ho, you’d help a criminal just for that?”
“It’s not your fault, Grandma!”
“Nanalee, shut up for a second.”
She pushed Nanalee’s head down and squeezed it. And then she looked at us one by one.
“……Hmm. That’s the little one over there, isn’t it?”
She stared at Sylphi and a smirk curled her lips.
“All right. If you help me out, I’ll do it for free.”
A sigh of relief could be heard coming from the room. Riza, Clara, and Sylphi.
Nanalee doesn’t seem to care about that. She is so happy that she is crying.
But I wasn’t in the mood to pat my chest very hard.
“Can I ask you one question?”
I wondered if I should confirm it right here, until the very last moment.
But I wanted to hear it directly from her as soon as possible.
“What is it?”
The old lady was smiling with a relaxed smile. The next moment, it was gone.
“Why did you put a curse on the town?”
That’s right. There was indeed a “curse of decay” on the town. The lord was unaware of this fact and blamed the old lady for the crime.
But the one who put the curse on was definitely this old lady.
