âActually, Iâve been thinking about something.â
Before starting the task again, Dr. Jin suddenly said: âNo matter which time⊠Lin Hao and Lin Ren died so quickly that I couldnât comprehend it.â
Everyone looked at Jin Lei.
âSo I wanted to bring this up. After all, this is a nightmare world, not the real world. Lin Hao and Lin Ren arenât necessarily real. So many catastrophes may not be a coincidence. Maybe this is the work of a ghost hidden in the nightmare world.â Dr. Jin said what Su Zimo wasnât able to bring up.
âOnly that could explain why the two people die so strangely. In short, donât forget that the bad thing about the nightmare world isnât the living, but the dead. If we want those two to live, we canât care only about superficial things.â Dr. Jin said, and the action began again.
Su Zimo, with his small stature, began to faithfully act as bait once again. He walked once more in front of Lin Hao and Lin Ren.
Their path of avoiding the car accident and going to the food stall was confirmed to be safe, so Cheng Yun and the others unceremoniously repeated the process. Even the conversation in the food stall was copied as well as possible. It may have been even more wordy than before.
To be honest, only people with personalities like Cheng Yun could pull off that kind of thing. Even Su Zimo who was listening next to him couldnât help but hide a yawn.
After 3 oâclock in the afternoon, when they finally left the food stall, Cheng Yun rushed over to Lin Hao and Lin Ren as they approached the threshold of the food stall and said aloudâ
âWatch out for the steps!â
Such an outburst shocked the Lin siblings who had already lifted their feet and successfully made then look at the short threshold.
Cheng Yun also said exaggeratedly: âLook outside the door, someone lost an iron nail. Thatâs too shameless! If someone trips on the threshold, they may land on it with their heads. That would be terrible!â
ââŠâŠâ The food stall owner didnât bother to heed Cheng Yunâs concerns at all.
âCheng-ge, youâre really good at joking, too funny!â Lin Hao suddenly felt that the imagination of the cheated man in front of her was rich.
He actually thought that someone would trip on that short threshold? And then land their head right on that little nail?
What was the chance of something so useless happening?
Lin Hao and Lin Ren couldnât help but laugh.
ââŠâŠâ Cheng Yun couldnât explain. Either way, his purpose was to prevent the two siblings from tripping on the threshold. Seeing that they had left the food stall safely and kicked the deadly nail somewhere with their feet, he felt relieved.
Su Zimo followed Cheng Yun, trying his best to play a quiet child.
But gradually, even Su Zimo began to lose confidence.
Cheng Yun invited the two siblings to be their tour guide and paid a considerable amount in advance. The two siblings agreed, unsurprisingly, but because they were in a hurry when they left and didnât bring any communication devices, they took Cheng Yun and Su Zimo back to their home.
Su Zimo and the others had been there before. They had even gone to the restaurant just across the street from their home, but they never thought that the apartment building where they lived was so dilapidated. Even the railings were in disrepair. Lin Hao took out a key to open the door, but at that moment, Lin Ren leaned against the railing and fell off the third floor.
Dead.
Death was hanging over the pair of siblings. No matter how hard Cheng Yun and the others tried, they would always die for some unexplainable reason.
Choking after eating, choking after drinking water, even after they took Su Zimo to visit Central Park, their feet slipped into the water. After they went to the amusement park and avoided high-risk attractions like roller coasters, the carousel suddenly suddenly fell and they died crushed under the wooden horsesâ hooves.
After trying for however many times, even Cheng Yun began to feel discouraged. But when he was about to give up, the two siblings actually pushed away an old man who was too slow to move. After pushing him away, they died under the wheels like it was karma.
Although the two siblings were strange, they werenât bad people.
After confirming that, Cheng Yun and Dr. Jin adjusted their plans again. This time, Cheng Yun still brought them to the food stall.
Itâs just that when the long lunch was about to end, Dr. Jin and Bai Man walked up to Cheng Yun and the others with a look of surprise. It was as if it was a long-awaited reunion of old friends.
Then the other trainers half-invited and half-forced the two siblings to the KTV room Bai Man had reserved. They secretly added an âOrdinary Sleeping Pillâ 1 to their drinks, which was a one-star ghost tool that was once sold in Su Zimoâs shop.
In addition to preventing damage from ghosts, the one star ghost tool still had the ability to make people sleepy. In order to clear the task, even though that kind of thing was rare, Dr. Jin and the others couldnât help but risk it.
Itâs better to let the Lin siblings sleep like that than to tie them to a bed in a mental hospital, right?
âThis way they can finally have a good rest.â Dr. Jin let out a relieved sigh as she looked at the two siblings who were lying side by side on the large leather sofa in the KTV room.
If their task failed, they would continue to reincarnate. This type of task didnât seem difficult, and it didnât even make them feel nervous or panicked. But with the repeated reincarnations, focusing on the life and deaths of the two siblings over and over again, it really made the trainers feel overdrawn.
Even Su ZImo regretted joining the nightmare world. Although it wasnât difficult, he did feel sleepy.
âWe can also have a good rest.â Cheng Yun drank a can of coffee in one gulp.
All the trainers were sitting in a private KTV room. Although most of them were young people who liked having fun, and although there was cheerful music playing on the TV screen, all the trainers sat down on the sofa, shut their eyes, and rested their minds. The only word to describe how their bodied felt was âexhausted.â They didnât even think about wanting to have fun at all.
But even if they were tired, none of them fell asleep. They were afraid that as soon as they did, some ghost would appear and kill the two siblings again.
Whatâs worse is that as more time passed, the more nervous the trainers were. They were almost counting down the seconds of time left until the task would be cleared.
The only good news was that they could sit in the private room and eat all kinds of things to relieve their internal stress.
âJust a little bit more.â When the time in their private room continued and the time on the bright electric clock quickly passed, all of the trainers set a countdown on their cell phones. Even Su Zimo couldnât help being nervous. He held his breath in the tense atmosphere.
10⊠9⊠8⊠7âŠ
âDing ling ling!!!!!!!â
When the time on the clock changed to â00:00â and the countdown on all of the trainersâ cell phones hit 0, the bells on the alarms rang in everyoneâs ears.
Just when Su Zimo was about to cheer along with the other, white fog appeared around them again!
Would the white fog appear when the task was cleared?
Everyone was confused. They continued to hold their breaths.
But in the end, what awaited the trainers wasnât any sign of task clearance. When the surrounding white fog once again dispersed⊠the familiar street appeared and made them all want to fall into a coma!
What the fuck?!
Why do they have to do it again?!!
