V4 – Episode 19 – FiancĂ©e Finally Floats
The reason why Arisa couldn’t swim was that she doesn’t float well, in other words, her posture in the water wasn’t good.
Ideally, she should float parallel to the surface of the water, with her head slightly down and her back at the top

In the case of Arisa, her legs were sinking and her body was at an angle.
So Yuzuru began by correcting the way she floated.
The first one was the dolphin float.
Next, he had her do the jellyfish float

And she was splashing around on the surface of the water.
This was the reason why Arisa’s swimming looked like a “bug in a lake”.

Yuzuru sat Arisa down by the pool and instructed her to try moving her legs.

“That’s okay because the foot flutter is more of a postural aid. Besides, you’re only kicking the water with your toes, so there’s no point in moving them too far.”

Taking Yuzuru’s advice, she moved her feet by herself this time.
It was much better than the first time.
“Now let’s try it while holding on.”

This time, he had her do the flap while holding onto the poolside.
At first, Yuzuru held onto Arisa’s legs and assisted her.
“Don’t take them out of the water, but keep them like this

“Yeah. As long as you can kick the water with just your toes.”
Arisa followed Yuzuru’s advice and moved her feet.
She had good motor skills, and once she learned the tricks, her progress was rapid.

Well, I think the important thing is not whether the teaching method is right or wrong, but whether Arisa is cute or not in the process!
