V5 – Episode 11 – Arisa’s Part-time Job Consultation (Unreliable Female Friend Edition)
One day.
At a coffee shop

“I’m thinking of getting a part-time job so I can buy a birthday present for Yuzuru-san.”
Arisa said this to Ayaka, Chiharu and Tenka.
The four of them were just in the middle of a girls’ after-school gathering.
The three of them widened their eyes at the sudden words of Arisa.
“Wow, that’s nice. What are you going to do?”
“No, I haven’t decided what to do
 yet.”
Arisa answered Ayaka’s question with a bit of embarrassment.
She didn’t have the determination and ability to take action to decide on a part-time job as soon as she decided to try it.
“Yeah, I don’t really understand. Are the prices of the gift so high that your allowance is not enough?　Or do you want to use your own money for the gifts?”
“Well
 it’s the latter.”
The allowance system varies from family to family, and the expenses also vary from family to family.
In the case of Arisa’s family, the money was given separately for each use.
In other words, if she wanted to spend money, she had to tell them what she wanted to spend it on and how much she wanted to spend, and then she had to get it each time.

It was not strange for high school students to buy gifts with the money they receive from their parents.

The high school that Arisa and her friends attend was a private preparatory school.
It was a school for children from reasonably well-off families.
Therefore, there were basically no students who had to work part-time due to hardships in their lives, and this was not expected of them.

Arisa glanced over to check her skirt length.
Normally, it doesn’t bother her too much because she’s used to it, but after a vacation, she starts to think like, “Huh? Is it a little short?“.
“If you think so, Arisa-san. Why don’t you make it longer?　It’s immodest, you know.”
“Oh my, if you think so
 It’s fine for Tenka-san to also make it longer, okay? 
Well, I don’t plan to change the length because I don’t want to stand out though
”
Arisa didn’t keep it short because she liked it.
Of course, she didn’t hate it either
 but she just keeps it short because everyone else was keeping it short.
“Once your eyes get used to it
 I feel like if it’s long, it looks kind of boorish.”

Ayaka and Chiharu agreed with her.
Even though the school rules were free in principle, it was precisely because they were free that they felt that they had to adapt to the atmosphere of the school.
All four of them were admirably “Japanese” when it came to such sensibilities.

Arisa glared at Ayaka and Chiharu, who kept saying things as they pleased.
She did not deny it, perhaps because she was aware of her own gloomy nature.
“Why don’t we just ask Yuzurun to introduce you to his part-time job place?”

 But I wanted to make it a surprise if possible.”
Arisa answered Ayaka’s question.
She wanted to work secretly and surprise Yuzuru
 That was Arisa’s desire.

Ayaka, Tenka and Chiharu replied to Arisa’s remark.
“I’m sure you can do it
 But most part-time kitchen work in restaurants involves microwaving, right?”
“Maybe that is what you are good at, but to be honest, to make the most out of Arisa’s characteristics
 If I was the manager, I would put you in the hall staff. It feels like there would be more customers.”
“I’ll become a regular if Arisa-san entertains me. Guhehehe.”

then she hurriedly tightened her expression.
“Please stay away from customer service!”

It was no longer a part-time job.
However, Chiharu and Tenka were very excited to talk about it.

The three of them nodded in agreement with Arisa’s correct opinion.

 and then looked around the store in a panic.
Realizing that she was attracting attention, Arisa cowered a little.
Then she glared at the three of them.
“I was an idiot to ask for help from you all
 I’m going to consult with Yuzuru-san straightforwardly
!”
Then, the three of them may or may not have gone to a lot of trouble to fix Arisa’s sulky mood
