Bathroom Without Fan Service
The girl submerged herself in the water. She shut her eyes and let the sound of the water flowing beside her gently echo in her ears. Alas, the fires during the day and flying bullets continued to resurface. She even saw images of bullets puncturing her. Despite the hot water, she still felt cold with those thoughts weighing on her mind.
âWhat must be going through oneâs mind to be able to step up in that sort of situation? How much courage and fearlessness is required?â Liu Yue asked herself.
Liu Yue shook her ears. The water droplets on her smooth and long fur coursed down. She looked at the mist overhead and softly remarked, âI really want to go back and see what Dad wouldâve thoughtâŚâ
Vera swam over to Liu Yue to inquire, âDad what?â
âWhat should be done if Dad was the one in that situation?â
âDad definitely wouldnât have done worse than Miss Vera. He wouldâve done even better than her because Dad is a stronger ruler. Heâs also braver and has a stronger sense of duty.â
âIndeed. Nevertheless, do you think we should go back nowâŚ? Honestly speaking, I never imagined that would happen. While I thought it would be dangerous, that was the first time I felt danger was knocking right on my door⌠I was, in all honesty, scared beyond words. I was no better than Nona⌠Frankly, I really⌠really⌠really⌠miss home nowâŚâ Liu Yue hugged her knees.
Liu Yue was the youngest among the four sisters. Due to her going to school outside of the Imperial Palace, though, she was much more mature than Nona and Daisy; hence, lots of things were discussed between Vera and Liu Yue. In the discussion, however, Liu Yueâs attention clearly wasnât on Veraâs question but somewhere else.
Liu Yue didnât answer Veraâs question. Instead, she looked to where their other two sisters were, and then asked, âWhat do the others think?â
âYou mean Nona? Nona probably wants to go home as soon as possible now, Iâd imagine⌠As for Daisy⌠I think she feels powerless now; leaving would be the best to her.â
âMe?â Veraâs voice softened: âIâm⌠fine either way. Truth be told, although Iâm shaken after what took place, I⌠I⌠I canât help but feel it would be a pity for us to leave⌠We want to prove ourselves⌠If we go home, itâd be the equivalent of fleeing home. If we canât overcome this level of danger, it means weâre still children.â
Liu Yue pursed her lips: âHaha, youâre⌠right⌠Iâm not going to pretend I wasnât scared. Thankfully, the fear has started to settle. We managed to get through it once and, therefore, should be able to get through it a second and third time. Plus, I want to be like Dad.  I want to be Dadâs daughter, a qualified daughter. I want to prove myself.â
âYeahâŚ? In other words, you donât plan to return home, correct? So, our dance shall go on.â
âDespite us having the choice of not returning, Iâm still worried Dad will come here. If Dad is angry, what do we doâŚ?â
âThereâs nothing we can do, then. With that said, itâs fine if Dad personally comes. Maybe Dad will be able to resolve everything while heâs at it. That will save Miss Vera trouble, right? Given what today happened, there might be more dangers in the future. The coronation ceremony hasnât even startedâŚâ
âIsnât the city under martial law now? Iâm sure theyâll be able to eliminate plenty of spies and assassins, right?â
âHard to say. Whatever the case may be, we must protect ourselves.â
âCan you still use your magic?â
Liu Yue wiggled her tail. She climbed out and sat down on the chair to groom her tail. She lathered her entire tail with the oil to ensure her fur is smooth and wonât stand up. That was a chore she had to do every day.
âI can. The caveat is, Iâll have to use my own mana if I want to use magic. It wonât last for long, and thereâs no mana to replenish with. Be honest with me, can you still transform?â
âTransforming is our talent as Moon Foxes. It has nothing to do with whether or not thereâs mana in the vicinity. Put another way, I can transform whenever I want. If I fail, weâll just run, I guess. Weâll have to give up on Miss Vera and run when weâre in a pinch. We canât disappoint Dad, and we most definitely canât make him said.â
Vera sighed: âIf we can actually do it when it matters, then that would be great⌠Didnât Dad once say that there were times in the past where he could leave but would choose to protect the people around him, instead? He never left. Though we havenât gone through what he did, I think we must do the same, as we are Dadâs children.â
Current time outside the bathroom.
Ying stood up and extended forth her hand: âDo you have business here?â
âOh, what happened during the day was our fault. Our mistake gave the Princesses a fright. We never expected that to happen, either. That is why I have come specifically to deliver some drinks that can help calm the Princesses.â
Ying looked at the pot of water and four cups in the tray he held. She narrowed her eyes and asked, âIs this Miss Veraâs idea?â
The youngster awkwardly smiled: âUh⌠No, it is my own idea⌠Truthfully⌠truthfully⌠I want to apologise, as well⌠After all⌠I said I would protect them when we were out on the ocean, but I failed to fulfil the promise. I guess you could consider this a gift to compensate them. You can rest assured. There is nothing in the drinks.â
Ying ignored the youngsterâs oath. She took the tray and poured a cup. Liu Yue pulled the door open right as Ying went to have a drink. The youngster immediately froze at the sight of Liu Yue wrapped in just a towel. However, Liu Yue immediately checked to ensure she didnât have any sensitive parts revealed, so she didnât panic. She grabbed a cup to drink.
âThis is really niceâŚâ
âYour HighnessâŚâ Ying quickly grabbed Liu Yue and exclaimed, âHurry and spit it back out! Vomit it! Hurry! I have not drunk it yet!! I have not drunk it yet! YouâŚâ
âI trust Miss Vera, and I trust him.â
