While he was in disbelief, Sehun leaned in, turning his head slightly. Yoonshin was conflicted on whether he should close his eyes or push him away, but before he could register, his eyelids slowly closed.
âAttorney Kang! How about we let the young ones enjoy themselves and us partners leaâOh my, did I disturb you?â
Mihee who burst out onto the terrace saw the two almost embracing each other and stopped in her tracks. After looking back to check, Sehun finally let go of Yoonshin, who had been imprisoned in the older manâs arms. They naturally stepped apart. Yoonshin rubbed at his bright red face.
Mihee must have felt that the mood in the terrace was suggestive as she was reluctant to come closer. Then, Sehun said frankly, âDonât misinterpret things. Nothing happened.â
âI didnât say anything. Itâs just that this was quite a new sight for me. I never thought Iâd see you with someone in your arms. Attorney Do, if you were uncomfortable, report him to the police. Iâll be your witness.â
Yoonshin glanced between the two then waved his hands in decline. âNo, I liked it.â
Then, the two older lawyers gave him strange looks. Sehun frowned, asking him what in the world he was going on about, and Mihee looked amused. He had chosen his words in consideration of the older man, but on second thought, it could sound different only a bit too late depending on the perspective and added, âI meant that I wasnât uncomfortable. Iâm used to it because he does it every now and then.â
âMy word, Sehun does that every now and then? Iâm just surprised all over again.â
âFourth year. You could stay silent if you think youâll say bullshit.â Sehun, unable to bear him any longer, grabbed Yoonshin by the shoulders and pushed him away, then he faced Mihee. Sehun had just called Yoonshin by his name, but they were back to square one. Yoonshin stared at the back of the older manâs head and chewed on his lips. He felt the urge to mess up the well-groomed hair and clenched his fist.
Ignorant to Yoonshinâs thoughts, Sehun pretended like there was nobody behind him and walked toward Mihee. âLetâs go. And the car?â
âSecretary Tak called a chauffeur. We can take your car. Listen, I think I came at the wrong time given the mood⊠Is it all right to leave him like that? Iâm starting to feel sorry.â
âI said youâre misunderstanding the situation.â
âStill. Leaving like this is rude to Attorney Do. Wrap up the situation, and Iâll just go on ahead. Have a restful weekend, and Iâll see you Monday, soldiers.â
She smiled awkwardly, looking truly apologetic, and waved before running off. Sehun watched for a moment then shook his head, making his way out. Yoonshin felt a bit upset now that he wouldnât even turn back once after pushing him against a hard place.
Just before Sehun disappeared into the corner, Yoonshin snapped back to his senses and hurriedly chased after him. Then, he caught Sehunâs wrist as the other was walking toward the parking lot, out of the exit. Normally, Yoonshin would have let go immediately in surprise the moment they touched, but he didnât this time. He grabbed Sehun intentionally. âWait a moment, Senior Attorney. I have something to tell you.â
Sehun glanced down at his caught wrist and frowned. âAre you making light of your superiorâs words?â
âDid our lips touch?â Yoonshin asked anyway.
Sehun retorted, âThey didnât.â
âBut Iâm sure your tongueâŠâ
âThey did not.â
âAre you trying to fool me because my eyes were closed? No way. Thatâs inhumane of you.â
âIâm inhumane. Is that what you need to tell me?â
âSee? They did touch,â Yoonshin burst, then realized that this wasnât the most urgent thing to address. He tried to look composed and continued, âThis is just⊠Iâm telling you this, just in case. If you think this has nothing to do with you, you can just forget it. Well, I guess this probably wouldnât impact your life in any case.â
âIâll be the one to judge that.â
âIâm going on a blind date next Sunday.â
That moment, Sehunâs brow twitched, unable to hide how perturbed he was.
