Sehunâs eyes slowly trailed along the younger manâs forehead to the soft clump of hair pinned to his head. Following the older manâs eyes, Yoonshin realized late what he was looking at and fumbled awkwardly. âOh, this, m-my nephew gave this to me a while back. Since my hair keeps poking my eyes.â
Just when Yoonshin was about to take it off, Sehun stopped him by grasping his wrist. Then, Sehun poked the younger manâs moisturized cheek with a finger and kissed it. He whispered in his ears, sounding a bit excited, âItâs cute. Keep it on.â
âWhat?â Yoonshin asked back, surprised.
âI said itâs cute,â Sehun said more firmly, grasping both sides of the younger manâs face and showering him with several kisses on his moisturized lips.
âNgh, huh? Senior attorney!â
Sehun had shown up late at night with no warning and started to pour his affection. This was so unlike him that Yoonshin was taken completely off-guard. He coughed and frowned. The moment he dropped his eyes to Sehunâs hands, he recognized a familiar brand of soda from the opaque convenience store bag. Upon spotting it, he asked, filled with conviction, âWere you drinking before coming here?â
âI was coming back from a walk. Itâs very cold outside,â Sehun replied coolly.
âNo, seriously, whatâs with you today? Youâre so weird these days. Did the hospital tell you that you have an incurable illness? Did the doctor tell you to repent for all the wrongdoings youâve committed in your lifetime and spend the rest of your days in peace?â
âYouâre getting ahead of yourself. When will you stop monkeying around, you greenhorn?â Sehun laughed hollowly, but he didnât look offended. On one hand, he looked as if he resigned himself to something, but on the other hand, he looked like he came to a firm resolution. Ironically, Yoonshin felt those contrasting emotional states from Sehun standing in the front foyer.
âSince itâs a new year, Iâm now five years in. Iâm not a greenhorn at all. Please concede to the changes.â
âAdding a year from the start of the year is a weird way of counting. Are you going to say that weâve now dated for two years then?â
Yoonshin was rendered speechless for a moment and merely stared at the other man. Sehun bent forward slightly, reaching Yoonshinâs eye level, and asked in a languid tone, âSo, are you not going to let me in because your house is a mess?â
âOh,â Yoonshin exclaimed and finally moved aside to allow Sehun in, extending a guiding hand. Sehun didnât refuse and headed inside. He moved as if this was his personal space, and he seemed used to doing that. The homeowner who closed the door and followed looked more uneasy than the guest.
âYouâre wearing such thin layers in the freezing weather that itâs no shocker that youâre cold. Should I make you a cup of tea? I have green, black, and citron. I have most teas,â Yoonshin offered.
âYep, anything is fine.â
âThen, Iâll make you some green tea. I have some tea leaves that my sister gave me.â
âNot green. Oh, and not black either.â
âThatâs not anything. Iâll make citron tea then.â
âNot that either. I donât like strongly flavored teas.â
Yoonshin stopped in his tracks and looked back at the other man with incredulity. âThen what should I give you? Water?â
âCoffee. If you donât have that, then itâs fine.â
âI do have some. Why didnât you say so from the start? Youâre so weird,â Yoonshin grumbled and headed to the kitchen. Sehun grinned and made his way to the living room. He tossed the bag on the coffee table and took off his coat. Then, he glanced at the stack of documents, books, and notebooks. On the printed material were divorce precedents. There must have been thousands of cases printed out.
