Sehun was in this state for the past few days. Every time they worked together, the older lawyer seemed to move awkwardly. Yoonshin got the impression that Sehun was overcome with the urge to tear down the barrier between work and personal life, which didnât suit him. He was very affected by Yoonshinâs confession. Perceiving this, Yoonshin felt good for some reason. He grinned, but scared that he would be caught, he hid the traces of his pleasure and went back to business.
âWeâve obtained the letters of intent for takeover from the interested potential purchasers other than Taesan Construction. The structure of the deal, the transaction schedule, and the letters of intent are listed briefly here. Most of these arenât firm since weâve obtained the info by asking around. Wouldnât it be better to wait until you get firm information before going into the meeting?â Yoonshin said as he pointed to the monitor.
Sehun shook his head. âThe letter of intent isnât legally binding anyway. The important things are the confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements⊠As far as I know, they havenât exchanged any of the likes with anyone. Other law firms are probably doing the same thing as us. Itâs too late to start designing this all in our favor. Just go with this.â
âDonât you usually submit a letter with this?â
âNormally, yes. The company selling already submitted an IM. Yet, even with such an appetizing dish laid out in front of them, the potential buyers are all reacting blandly. This means that the sale has yet to become official. Ultimately, thereâs a lot of buzz, but nothing is proceeding. What would this mean, then?â
âEveryone is hesitating,â Yoonshin answered.
Sehun snapped his fingers and continued Yoonshinâs thoughts. âBecause the rumor going around is that Taesan will call a high price.â
âOnce they all start to express their interest, theyâre worried that the price will skyrocket, so theyâre all being careful.â
âTaesan has the highest chances, but we canât neglect to address the rest. We need to consider all scenarios. This is the task of the corporate commercial senior lawyers, but Iâll give you a chance too. Come up with a defense for Taesan and bring me a first draft of the report by nine in the morning next Monday. If youâre any later, Iâll toss it even if you submit the report.â
âUnderstood. Oh, right. What do you think about shaking up Youngjin once before going into the real deal?â
âDonât say something so naĂŻve. Iâve done this for years now, and wherever I go, the other company hates me. If I make a moveâŠâ Sehun was about to put his foot down when he stopped mid-sentence. He seemed to deliberate on something, then he changed his mind, suddenly considering the attempt.
âThis project is already going down a different path than my usual style of shaking them by the collar and yelling at them, so the other party would have already prepared for that. Maybe there is a need for pretending to poke them with a stick while letting them in on the gist of how this will go.â As soon as he concluded, he pressed the intercom and summoned Secretary Tak.
âYes, sir?â his secretary answered.
âPresident Wonik Cho of Youngjin Construction. Iâd like to meet him separately. Very secretly,â Sehun stated.
âJust the two of you? Heâll probably be on guard. One wrong word and he knows youâll grab his weakness. He probably wonât come unless you come alone while he brings five of his lawyers along.â
âTell him that he can if he wants to. He can even come with 10. Ask Senior Attorney Song just in case. She has a lot of connections to financial circles, so she might be able to connect me quickly.â
âIâll ask first.â
After ending the call, Sehun grabbed his stack of papers. Then, he extended his hand to Yoonshin. Yoonshin thought Sehun was just reaching for him, but he wrapped his hand around his shoulders, pulling him to Sehun, and caressed Yoonshinâs right cheek. Surprised, Yoonshin looked up at the other. Sehunâs actions must have been unconscious because the older man merely lowered his hand while ignoring Yoonshin staring daggers into him.
