Chapter 192

After one month and three days, Ji Qingqing successfully finished filming.

The timing was reduced considerably compared to the previously planned duration of two to three months. Needless to say, the planned duration had been estimated based on Ji Qingqing’s past history of getting multiple NG’s during filming.

For the past month, Ji Qingqing’s performance not only won over the filming crew, even Director Zhou was impressed by it.

Ji Qingqing held the bouquet of flowers Qi Jingyun gave her and asked Director Zhou, “Director Zhou, is there any filming tonight?”

“Everyone’s all waiting for you to treat them to a meal after your filming ends. How is it possible for me to schedule any filming?”

“Alright then. Tonight I’ll act as the host and treat everyone to a meal. Thank you all for taking care of me during this period.” Ji Qingqing glanced at the two lead actors in the drama. “But I’m not sure if Sister Jingyun and Brother Jiang Su would give me the opportunity to do so?”

Within a month, Ji Qingqing’s relationship with the other actors in the drama improved. Or maybe it was because they were forced to compromise, but those that were subjected to her arrogant attitude and bullying in the past changed their perception of her slightly.

There wasn’t any bad history between her and Qi Jingyun. And the actress was willing to strengthen her relationship with Ji Qingqing in their interactions. After cutting the cake, Ji Qingqing turned back and noticed Wen Rou taking a picture of her with her phone from a distance away.

“Where is he?”

“President Lu seems to be in a meeting.”

Wen Rou smiled and nodded before leaving.

Ji Qingqing switched the phone camera mode to selfie mode. A shadow hovered at Lu Lixing’s side of the video call screen. Soon after, the phone was picked up and Lu Lixing’s face appeared on the screen.

“Your filming ended?

Ji Qingqing’s face still had some cream on it. She wiped it off and smiled. “Oh right. Tomorrow I will be able to…”

“Qingqing, come here and have some cake.” It was Jiang Su’s voice.

“I’ll come over shortly.”

Lu Lixing was the only one left in the large and empty conference room. Hearing a male voice coming over from Ji Qingqing’s side, his eyebrows furrowed. “Who is it?”

“It’s brother Jiang Su. Didn’t I finish filming? He gave me a cake and asked me to come over and have a slice.”

Lu Lixing replied, “Look at yourself. See how fat you’ve become.”

Ji Qingqing covered her face. “No, I’m not fat. For the past few days, I’ve been measuring my weight and no one said that I was fat.”

“That’s because they’re always with you on a daily basis so they can’t tell. But not me. Go feel your chin and your face.”

Since Lu Lixing made such a fuss about it, Ji Qingqing really started to have some doubts. Did she really get fatter?

“Qingqing, quickly come over here. We’ve saved a slice of cake for you.”

Ji Qingqing pinched her face and hesitantly declined. “Sister Jingyun, you guys can eat it instead. I don’t have any appetite at the moment.”

Ji Qingqing really treasured her current appearance as it concerned how she appeared on television. It was long known that the scenes filmed on camera will be projected bigger and extended all over television screens. If she was any fatter, she would be mocked at by antis.
