Frozen Heart’s HP, Defence, and AD will not undergo any changes, but only one of his abilities will be adjusted.

That is, the 2nd ability Snow Allure. ly, it was only able to link up to an enemy demon, but after the change, it will be able to link up to ally demons as well.

When the enemy demons are linked up to by Frozen Heart, they experience a certain amount of Slo-mo effect.

On the other hand, when Frozen Heart links up to ally demons, not only will he boost his own speed, he will also boost that of the ally demon.

Therefore, this change can be said to have upped Frozen Heart’s chances of survival by a great deal.

In other words, the moment Frozen Heart kills an enemy demon and his 2nd ability refreshes, he can either link up to an enemy demon to gank, or link up to an ally demon to flee.

Upon seeing this change on the announcement, those who’d previously crossed swords with PG want nothing more than to mail a piece of blade in an envelope over to the game authorities – Jing Yu’s Frozen Heart is already heavens-defying enough, but not only are you not weakening him, you’re fucking making him stronger? How the hell is anyone gonna beat him?!

As for those who swear by Frozen Heart as their lifelines, they all convert to the faith of Goldfish overnight – If not for Jing Yu using Frozen Heart on PGL, the authorities surely wouldn’t have noticed him, much less spent time to improve him! The upgrade this time around is thus all thanks to Jing Yu!

Meanwhile, another demon which was also used by Jing Yu and caught the authorities’ eye is Moonshadow Spider.

Unlike Frozen Heart, however, Moonshadow Spider’s abilities truly will be slashed mercilessly.

The authorities extended the cooldown time for each and every single one of her abilities.

This doesn’t make much of an impact on Jing Yu’s self-invented combo-attack – He can still continue using it as per normal. It’s just that after each time he uses it, he’ll have to flee and wait for them to cool down, only then can he bring it out again.

Besides these two, another few that will be slashed are Camael and Nine-Tailed Demon Fox.

Camael’s AD will be lowered, whereas Nine-Tailed Demon Fox’s Defence will be revised.

Spirit Ward, on the other hand, is a demon that will be boosted.

Spirit Ward is classified as a control-type mid-laner. But with that said, those gamers who mid-lane are typically geared towards using AP as a means to injure and kill the enemy.

This had caused the number of players who use Spirit Ward to be fewer than few, even losing out to that of Frozen Heart.

That’s why, in the game update this time, the game officials are raising Spirit Ward’s AP substantially. Although it still won’t be able to compare with mage-class demons, it’ll at least be enough to make up for Spirit Ward’s headache-inducingly low AP.

“The authorities sure are generous to us!” Upon seeing these changes, Ye Hong can’t help exclaiming, “To sum up the changes: Yiming doesn’t know how to use Camael, so Camael will be slashed. My Nine-Tailed Demon Fox is kept on the ban list the whole time and never let down, so it’ll be slashed. My Spirit Ward is helluva smooth, so he’ll be upgraded. Goldfish’s Moonshadow Spider never left the ban list, so she’ll be slashed. Then Goldfish’s Frozen Heart’s smooth as heck, so he’ll be boosted.”

Luo Yiming: “Hahahahaha! Based on what you said, it really does seem like this update’s extra biased towards us!”

Han Leng: “Isn’t it? Those demons we use are all strengthened whereas those we can’t get are slashed. The authorities truly are kind to us!”

“Chi—” Qin Fei can’t help laughing at the side, bluntly pointing out, “That’s only because we don’t follow logic when choosing our cards.”

Others go for whatever’s strong, whereas PG guns for whatever’s weak – For the weaker demons to be upgraded, isn’t that only natural?

As for those originally OP demons which only get elevated to must-bans in PG’s hands – It truly can’t make any more sense than to ban them.

Therefore, the game authorities really didn’t favour anyone with these changes and they were merely making sound decisions based on the available statistics.

On the afternoon of that very same day, the game is refreshed and every demon on the list is updated.

With regards to the two new demons, however, there is no news of that matter as of yet. It’s estimated that they’ll only be revealed after the Elimination Round.

It will be the Elimination Round in just two more days. Being LDPL’s first offline match, tonnes of arrangements are naturally being churned out and taken seriously.

The first to be confirmed is the location. It’ll be down over at City B – precisely 2 hours by plane for PG who’re coming in from City S.

Subsequently, the game authorities intend to shoot an intro video to broadcast at the Elimination Round’s grand opening and hype up the audiences.

In order to do so, they’re thus inviting ANE and SOS, amongst all other Top 8 teams of the past.

When she receives the call, Xiao Yun almost thought she misheard: “We’re also invited? Are you sure it’s us? PG? Play Gaily?”

After getting multiple confirmations, only then does Xiao Yun regain her cool: “Okay, I understand. We will get to the venue a day beforehand…… Okay, thank you! Sorry for the trouble!”

Xiao Yun leaves her room at once after hanging up to find Fang Luofan and relay this to him. Fang Luofan is a bit incredulous: “An intro video and a photoshoot for the players?”

Xiao Yun: “Right. They said we’ve got to be there a day in advance for them. Time’s running short, so I’ll book the flight for tomorrow morning in a bit. You get the others to pack their luggage tonight – Us too, of course.”

Fang Luofan: “Okay.”

With that, they relay this news to the members of PG.

In stark contrast to the management pair, PG’s responses are much more sedated:

Qin Fei: “Oh. Got it.”

Ye Hong: “Tsk. Really don’t want to be photographed.”

Luo Yiming: “They better make me look more handsome than I am in the photo!”

Han Leng: “Alright. I’ll go pack my things later.”

But while all four of them have replied, only Jing Yu keeps to himself silently.

Fang Luofan turns to him reflexively. Upon seeing him with his head half-lowered, as though pondering something, he can’t help raising his brows: “Jing Yu, any problems?”

Jing Yu jolts, but raises his gaze to meet Fang Luofan’s eyes. He takes a couple seconds before he inquires apprehensively: “With regards to the intro video and photo shoot, must we show our faces? Also…… during the Elimination Round, can I wear a mask?”

“I don’t think it’s allowed.” Fang Luofan replies, “One of the many reasons why we’re having an offline tournament is to put a stop to cases of substitute players. So, the pro-gamers aren’t allowed to conceal their faces. Moreover, wearing masks would hinder your directing, wouldn’t it?”

“En……” Despite his reply, Jing Yu seems a bit disappointed.

Fang Luofan: “What’s wrong? You don’t want to show your face?”

Jing Yu: “It’s nothing much.”

Fang Luofan: “It’s alright. If you’ve got any problems, you can talk to us about it. We’ll try our best to help you where we can.”

Upon hearing his words, Jing Yu clearly falters, but in the end, he still replies, seemingly calm on the surface: “It’s nothing. I just didn’t want to show my face. But if it’s compulsory, I’ll just show it. I’m fine with it.”

Although he says this, his behaviour hardly agrees with the words “fine with it”.

Nevertheless, since he’s said this, Fang Luofan can’t push any more beyond this. He can only brush over it as though it’s nothing: “Alright. Everyone, go pack your things!”

Having said his part, he turns to get back to his own room. Therefore, he also fails to notice – Xiao Yun, who’s been by his side, stares thoughtfully after Jing Yu’s silhouette which is disappearing up the stairs.

When Jing Yu returns to his room, the first thing he does is not to pack his belongings but to take out his phone. He clicks open a chatroom with a person whose ID is “Jiao Weiqing”.

Goldfish: I got into the Elimination Round.

After sending this message, he hesitates a little and sends another:

Goldfish: The Elimination Round will be offline.

It takes a while before this person whose ID is “Jiao Weiqing” replies:

Jiao Weiqing: Congratulations and keep up the good work! I’ve been watching the live-stream orh~

Realizing that the other doesn’t get his point, Jing Yu can’t help scrunching his brows. He rephrases himself and sends another message over:

Goldfish: The Elimination Round will be offline, so I have to show my face. I look so similar to you. If anyone notices and investigates, it’ll be easy for them to find out about our relationship. If someone follows the vines to get to the melon and uncovers the matter from that year, what should we do?

Jing Yu waits a full 5 minutes following this message till he gets the other party’s reply. Even then, the reply’s only six words:

Jiao Weiqing: Are you having fun right now?

Jing Yu replies without missing a beat: I am.

Jiao Weiqing: Then, don’t you worry ‘bout a thing. It’s fine to continue playing~

Jiao Weiqing: Xiao Yu**, remember this. We didn’t do anything wrong. That’s why, there’s nothing we need to hide.

Jing Yu is still, peering at these three messages with his eyes burning. Though his fingers hover in a futile attempt to type, he just can’t seem to see the message box clearly.

Jiao Weiqing: So long as you’re happy and content, I’ve got nothing to fear! Your happiness is my greatest joy~

Jing Yu swallows down his tears with much difficulty and replies with a single word: En.

Seeing this answer, Jiao Xi who is having her makeup done in the makeup room lets out a soft sigh and turns off her phone with a smile: “Do your best ah.”

Almost at the same time, Qin Fei’s mother, Qi Xuan, is looking at the thick stack of documents collated by her family’s secretary with a playful look: “Jing Yu, Jiao Xi…… Heh. This sure is interesting.”
