Dark Cupidâs appearance is that of a short-haired, ravenette youth with ashen skin and a pair of long, slitted eyes that emanate a bloodthirsty, red light.
Wielding a bow formed out of intertwining black and red vines, his domineering aura gives off a sense of impending danger.
Unlike Love Cupid, Dark Cupid is a God of Carnage and doesnât believe in True Love. He only wants to use his arrows to lay waste to everything.
Luo Yiming loves this demon to the point of infatuation. He likes everything that is remotely dark. Take for instance, that poster thatâs pasted on his roomâs door. Itâs written âA bottomless abyss of 100,000 feetâ in big black strokes, totally giving off the pungent feeling of a Chuunibyou**.
(**For the newbs that are not particularly interested in anime culture, chuunibyou refers to the âmiddle school second grade syndromeâ that includes delusions about being the VERY special snowflake till the point where you become the impersonation of Light Yagami of Death Note)
Having gotten Dark Cupid, he looks as if heâs already won the match. Every inch of him screams âblissâ.
In comparison, Ye Hong has completely fallen into the depths of despair.
âCaptain. Let me use Spirit Ward.â Suddenly, he uses a solemn tone to say.
Qin Fei pauses. Ye Hong only ever calls him Captain when heâs getting serious.
Spirit Ward, huh?
This CC-type demon rarely ever shows up in PGL. His usage frequency is thereabout the same as Frozen Heart. Even if he appears, heâs mostly there to support.
However, this demon is quite squishy. Those who dare use him to support are often called True Warriors.
Yet unexpectedly, in a moment like this, Ye Hong actually wants to use this CC-type squishy to mid-lane?
Qin Fei raises his brows: âWhatâs your reason?â
Ye Hong: âItâs enough to have Yiming go on the offense. Iâll be in charge of disgusting the enemy.â Saying this, he lets out a cold sneer, âI will let LGT know, those who ban my two lifelines are to pay the price for it!â
Donât look at how good natured Ye Hong normally is. He is a person who takes his grudges very seriously. LGT targeted him by banning two of his mages, causing him to be revolted to no end. With this sin, he can no longer bear to live under the same sky as them. Only by sickening them to death, can they call off this offense!
Qin Fei shrugs and instalocks Spirit Ward: âSure. Weâll switch our strategy this round. Old Han, pick a tank.â
Han Leng: âSure thing. What about you?â
Qin Fei: âIâll take whateverâs left.â
Han Leng: âTsk tsk. Da Lao really is Da Lao.â
At last, the two confirmed line-ups are:
PG: Lilith, Spirit Ward, Dark Cupid, Frozen Heart, Guren
Seeing this match-up, before the live commentators had gotten the chance to say anything, the bullet comments has already erupted in a fit:
ăThe Starter Pack! Itâs the Starter Pack again!ă
ăUsing Guren to support. Trust PG to think up this idea!ă
ăSpirit Ward! Heavens, what did I just see?!ă
ăSpirit Ward, Frozen Heart, GurenâŚâŚ PG are stirring things up again!ă
ăOthers choose their line-up for the sake of victory. PG chooses theirs in order to cause trouble.ă
ăHahaha PG has got to be the most random team Iâve ever seen!ă
Seeing the cards selected by his familyâs bunch of bastards, Fang Luofan also finds it hard to spit out a word. He doesnât know where to begin roasting.
Thankfully, being PGâs Coach, he is already desensitized to those rascalsâ irregular bouts of monkeying. After a short silence, he begins to speak calmly: ăPGâs line-up this time round is extremely novel. The mid-lanerâs decision to use Spirit Ward indicates that heâs given up on AP*. Dark Cupid will likely be the linchpin of this match.ă
(*AP: Ability Power: Magic, AD: Stronger compared to the AD of your average abilities)
Yoyo: ăUsing Frozen Heart to jungle is not entirely out of our expectations. Afterall, Goldfish has already demonstrated his abilities in the three matches yesterday. However, to use Guren as a support âŚâŚăShe canât go on.
Fang Luofan picks off where she left off without batting an eye: ăIn this PGL, many teams have begun using solo-laning demons to support. However, to use Guren in a formal match, PG will still be the first team to do that. As a Starter Pack demon, Guren has high error tolerance. He may be slightly weaker as a solo-laner, but as a support, you can consider him to be the best possible choice.ă
These words canât help but take Yoyo aback. She doesnât know how to reply for half a day â To think he actually called using Guren in a formal match âthe best possible choiceâ?!
And to say it with such bravado! Should she say, itâs only to be expected of PGâs Coach?
Nevertheless, it shouldnât be left unsaid. Fang Luofanâs words are quite reasonable.
But reason is something everyone accepts. As for whether theyâre able to put aside their prejudice and utilize these underwhelming demons, thatâs a whole separate matter.
Fang Luofan pauses for a few beats. Seeing as if Yoyo doesnât have the slightest intention of taking over, heâs left with no choice but to speak up once again, sharing a bit on LGTâs line-up:
ăLGTâs team composition is quite standard. The Centaur-Merman combo is good. The Top Jungler Burial Sword is also an excellent choice. Theyâre all the top picks for pro-gamers. However, looking at this from a different angle, this line-up is something PG has encountered far too many times. You just need to think briefly to know theyâve accumulated a wealth of experience in dealing with this kind of line-up. Therefore, this match is extremely disadvantageous for LGT.ă
Yoyo: ? ? ?
One party has an utterly ridiculous composition. The other has the one all pro-teams are striving for. Then, youâre telling me, this match does not bid well for the latter team?
Itâs not just Yoyo who is shocked. Even the bullet comments are thrown off their game by Fang Luofanâs serious consideration:
ăThis match is extremely disadvantageous towards LGT? WTF?!ă
ăLGT: Are you kidding me?!ă
ăHahahaha, are you for real?ă
ăAs expected! Like Coach, like PG!ă
PGâs members are naturally oblivious to this matter. Jing Yu is currently adjusting their game plan studiously: âItâs this formation again. Weâll still have a Mid-laner and Jungler co-op in the first half.â
Ye Hong: âOK~ Iâll CC, you attack.â
Jing Yu: âIâve never synced up with Spirit Ward before. Give me a few reminders later.â*
(*G/E: On things such as ability cooldown times and all)
Ye Hong: âItâs all okay, Little Goldfish. You can catch up. I have faith in you~â
âI donât have faith in you.â Jing Yu says bluntly. Ye Hong is caught between tears and laughter.
Subsequently, when itâs time to sync up, Ye Hong truly doesnât drop any notice. With Peacock Plume tied and bounded by Spirit Ward, Jing Yu arrives flawlessly in time to finish her off with a combo attack.
Ye Hong: âSee? Thatâs why I said you can catch up!â
Jing Yu doesnât want to say anything.
Yoyo: ăThe first blood is made! This is shockingâŚâŚTo think Spirit Ward can achieve such a terrifying result when he co-ops!ă
ăRather than saying Spirit Ward co-oped, itâs better to say Frozen Heart co-oped with Spirit Ward to execute a high level gank.ăBased on Fang Luofanâs understanding of Ye Hong, that piece of work wonât even remotely consider the life or death of his teammates when heâs messing around. Taking the initiative to coordinate with someone? Thatâs just out of the ballpark.
Jing Yu is also strung along by Ye Hongâs âBlind Trustâ to the point where he no longer has any temper to lose. Alright. Leave the co-oping to me. You just focus on fooling around.
Therefore, Ye Hong really fools around.
There is a particular mentality behind Spirit Wardâs design. That isâIf I canât kill you, I wonât make it easy for you either.
Ye Hong displays this to the point of painful vividness.
Peacock Plume wants to farm creeps? Spirit Ward tosses an Inextricable Silk to cocoon her. Once CCâed to the extent where she canât even struggle, she can only watch with her own eyes as her creeps are killed off before her.
Are the creeps the ones who are killed? No! It is her gold!
Centaur and Merman want to tower-dive together? After circling around behind them, Spirit Ward uses Thousand Returns. A thousand silk threads enwrap and entangle the two demons, forcibly towing them back by several steps. Subsequently, Dark Cupid executes a flurry of frenzied attacks, completing the counter-kill.

Originally, they wanted to go for a 0 for 2 but instead they got a 2 for 0. LGT feels utterly defeated.
Burial Sword wants to gank? Spirit Ward first uses an Inextricable Silk to CC, then forks out his Thousand Returns to haul Burial Sword back within the turret. A few seconds later, the Burial Sword whoâs floating in the skies clicks open his death status: Spirit Ward damage: 5%, Tower Defence: 95%
He-he-heh.
After being strangled to death by Spirit Ward in such a way for a few times, every member of LGT is roaring in their hearts â Too sickening! This Spirit Ward is just too sickening!
En, thatâs how you should feel~
Ye Hong uses Spirit Ward in this round precisely because he wants to repulse these guys.
Under Ye Hongâs persistent harassment, LGTâs three lanes all find it immensely difficult to make any progress. In comparison, Dark Cupidâs performance picks up quickly. Once his equipment outnumbers the enemy marksmanâs, he immediately begins his massacre!
Being the marksman with the most flexible motion control, Dark Cupid is completely a fish in waters under Luo Yimingâs control. Others canât even think about touching him, yet his arrows can always accurately hit the target he is aiming for.
LGT begins to regret letting Dark Cupid outâŚâŚ
Nevertheless, things have already escalated to this stage. Now, theyâve got nowhere to retreat and can only pin their last hope on snatching the dragon.
âThatâs right, snatching the dragon!
Being an extremely scientific team, LGT wonât believe those absurd myths about PG going ballistic if someone touches their dragon!
They will definitely go against the tide thatâs been rolling so far â Donât you PG love to get your dragon stolen then counter-kill? Very well. Weâll steal! And we definitely wonât give you a chance to counter-attack!
En. When they were making this decision, LGT failed to notice the graveness of their reality.
At least, until the third time they attempted to snatch the dragon, and the third time they got discovered by PG, and the third time they were pressed and grinded completely into the ground without a chance to retaliateâŚâŚ LGT finally knows they are wrong.
âFuck! Who TH donât dare to steal the dragon? They canât even fucking caress the Dragon, okay?! Spicy Chicken BS** Forum ruined me for life! From now on, Iâll never scroll through the forums again! If I do it, Iâll chop off this hand!
(**Spicy Chicken B(ull)S(hit) 螣鸥: Trash; they sound the same, la ji)
23 mins later, PG crushes LGT with an overwhelming score of 28 : 0. This unbearable point difference causes those who hear it to be saddened, and those who witness it to shed tears for LGT.
Since this is still the first match of the day, the members of PG have yet to realize anythingâs wrong. They only think the opponents have become quite daring â Heading over to touch the Dragon every few minutes, are they provoking them?
In this manner, they won the second match, then the third match. After that, even if itâs the thick-headed Luo Yiming, he also finally realizes: âYi, I feel like todayâs teams all rely a lot on the dragon ah? Am I imagining things?â
âNope.â Ye Hong gives a firm answer. âThey kept touching the dragon. Itâs way too obvious.â
âThough, itâs not like we can blame them ba.â Han Leng thinks this is all quite normal, to be honest. âAfterall, the one theyâre facing is us. If they donât snatch the dragon, they donât stand a chance of counteracting.â
âAh!â Jing Yu cries in shock suddenly, as though realizing something.
Qin Fei, who is by his side, turns to him immediately: âWhat is it?â
âErm, itâs nothing.â Jing Yu replies, a little caught between tears and laughter â He only suddenly recalled those two posts from yesterday and more or less understood why those three teams insisted on stealing the Demonic Dragon.
They did it because they want to prove âPG goes ballistic once their dragon is snatchedâ is baloney, right?
How terribly unfortunate for them. The prerequisite of proving this matter is â You must first steal the dragon.
Jing Yu can somewhat predict how those two towers will escalate after today.
Itâs either theyâll mock those three teams today for not knowing their place, or theyâll continue to heatedly discuss whether âPG goes ballistic once their dragon is snatchedâ is true.
However, before PGâs dragon gets stolen, this will always be a myth.
The more he thinks about it, the more Jing Yuâs curiosity about those two towers increases. He wants nothing more than to pick up his phone this instant.
But at the same time, heâs also a bit worried â If these teammates of his somehow find out about those two towersâŚâŚ Theyâll probably have something new to toy with again.
