Ugh . What could I do? Sheâs so cute . I canât bring myself to say no . (1)
âSir . â Zhou Fu was already waiting by the door when Lu Shao arrived home . Â
âAre you not happy with the school, Sir?â asked Zhou Fu as he took the jacket from Lu Shao . Â
Zhou Fu had been taking care of Lu Shao for almost 20 years ever since Lu Shao had taken over the management of the Luâs . He was arguably the one who knew Lu Shao the best in the world other than Lu Shao himself . Â
Even though Lu Shao didnât look much different than usual, Zhou Fu could tell from his micro emotions that Mr . Lu wasnât too happy right now . Or, should he say, he didnât seem all that calm . Â
âYou are right . I am not that happy about it,â said Lu Shao . Â \nâIs that so?â It was just a school . Zhou Fu didnât understand why itâd affect Mr . Luâs mood . Â
âWell, if thatâs the case . I will start working on helping the school to relocate as well as everything else that taking back that piece of land would entail . â
âNo, keep the school for now . We can consider investment later . â
Lu Shaoâs instructions surprised Zhou Fu . Â
Lu Shao carried on before Zhou Fu could ask anything . âGo look into something for me . â
âWhat is it that youâd like me to look into?â
âItâs about me . 13 years ago . â
âWhat?! You⊠you mean that incident?â Zhou Fuâs face changed color when he heard that .  \n13 years ago, Mr . Lu came over to City B to manage some family businesses and was set up by those from an offshoot of the family . That was also the only time that him, as an assistant for the Luâs, had made a mistake professionally . Â
But they have already looked into the incident afterward and everybody involved had already been taking care of . Â
âNot that incident . The other one, on the same day . At Hotel Huating . â

Over the dinner table, after looking at Su Han for a few times, Su Ran finally couldn't help but say, âUmmâŠâÂ
âHmm?â Su Han, who was eating a Chinese donut, looked up . Â
âWhat did you call me last time?â Su Ran blinked as she looked at Su Han and asked pointedly . Â \nEver since he had called her âMomâ at the door the other day, Su Ran had tried many different ways in the last few days, but she wasnât able to get him to repeat that . Â
So much so that Su Ran thought that she was already having hearing issues at her young age . Â
Okay, nevermind that he wouldnât address her as âMomâ, whatâs with referring to her as âthatâ?
Su Han was a little stunned by Su Ranâs words and suddenly was wordless under Su Ranâs stare . Â
âI donât know what you are talking about . â Su Han grumbled and looked away in a very stuck up way . Â
Su Ran: Oh musical institution, this little kid was trying to act cool in front of her . Â
Did he think she didnât realize he was just trying to avoid eye contact with her?
âOkay, never mind . You donât have to call me that,â said Su Ran as she waved her hand with a look of regret . Â
She had no idea why she cared so much about him calling her âMomâ . Then again, she really had no idea how traumatized he was with the original âSu Ranâ . Ever since she had transmigrated over, with the exception of improvements on material goods such as going from leftovers to 25 yuan takeout, she hasnât really bonded all that much with her instant son just yet .
As such, there was no reason to force him to do something against his wish . Su Ran had even thought of all the excuses for Su Han . Â
What she didnât know was, Su Han didnât call her âMomâ simply because he felt awkward and didnât know how to approach it . Â
âThat, um, no, I mean⊠. â Seeing the regretful and at a loss look on Su Ran, Su Han suddenly felt his chest tightened as though he had done something wrong, he started to explain himself, âIt was just thatâŠâ
Looking at Su Han feeling so troubled and hasnât been able to find the right words for a while, even Su Ran started feeling bad for him . Â
âWhat was it that you were going to tell me?â Su Ran decided to skip over the topic . Â
Sure enough, Su Han looked much more relaxed after they had skipped over that awkward subject . It didnât take him long to go back to his purposefully mature self . Â
