Ch 51 Part 1 – I Want to Be a Child Star! (I)

Fu Yunruo turned around. Seeing Si Yue standing behind, she whispered apologetically, “Did I wake you up?” She tried to move as silently as possible, but it seemed that she still disturbed Si Yue’s sleep.

“I just came out for some drink.” Si Yue shook the cup in his hand, showing that Fu Yunruo didn’t wake him up. It was normally not his bedtime yet.

Si Yue put down the cup of hot tea and poured half of its content into another cup he had brought with him. He then moved a stool, sat next to Fu Yunruo, and gave one of the cups to her.

Fu Yunruo took it and thanked him.

The stool was very short, especially for someone as tall as Si Yue. After he sat down, his long legs had nowhere to settle, so he casually stretched them out.

For a while, the two fell into silence. The night was so quiet, with only the sound of cicadas and frogs. Fu Yunruo held the cup in both hands. After feeling that the temperature was no longer scalding, she took a small sip and gradually felt her mood calming down.

Si Yue suddenly asked, “Are you going to stay in this village forever?”

“Of course not.” Fu Yunruo said, “After all, the educational resources here are not as good as in big cities. Wenwen is growing up, and he needs to go to school.” She had asked Tiantian’s help to do house hunting on her behalf, but considering her needs and criteria, it would take some time. She couldn’t possibly move before finding a new house.

In the beginning, Fu Yunruo chose to open her studio in the capital city mainly because she had acquaintances and friends there, so that she wouldn’t start from zero in a completely unfamiliar city. This was also one of the reasons why she wanted to take Wenwen to move there. Today’s incident, however, caused her to waver again. People from ‘Fu Yunruo’ past were popping up one after another, and they all also lived in the capital city. Fu Yunruo liked tranquility, and she would hate to have her life disturbed like today.

After all, it was very annoying to have flies flying around her all the time.

But on second thought, why should she avoid them? They surely didn’t have that much free time to block her every few days, right? If she deliberately canceled her plan to move to the capital because of them, it would seem that she was afraid of them. The resources in the capital were abundant, especially since she was raising a child — why should she wrong herself and her son?

Fu Yunruo was originally considering whether to change the city, but now that she thought about it again, she promptly changed her mind. She did nothing wrong, so why should she give up a more familiar and better environment for such people?

“…” Si Yue’s eyes secretly gleamed, but he pretended to be nonchalant, “Are you going to the capital city?”

Fu Yunruo nodded, “I’m going to visit at the end of the month.”

“When are you going to move?”

“No hurry. Probably later in the year.”

“I see. Well, if you have any difficulties, feel free to contact me. I will certainly come to your help.”

Fu Yunruo nodded. “Okay. I will give you a call if I really need your help.” Of course, she didn’t think she would encounter such problems.

“If you don’t want to see those people again, I can also help.” Si Yue originally thought those people were still a bit useful — once he helped Fu Yunruo resolve the knot in her heart, she surely wouldn’t have to worry anymore. Unexpectedly, it turned out that Fu Yunruo had long made the plan, and Si Yue found his previous action to be redundant.

Fu Yunruo looked at Si Yue in surprise, but she shook her head and politely refused, “I can handle my own affairs.”

Although Si Yue had the backing of his company, fighting against the couple with their protagonist halo was not a wise move. Fu Yunruo didn’t want to see him ruining his bright future because of her.

“You’ve done enough for us.” Fu Yunruo said again. No matter how fond was Si Yue of Wenwen, she couldn’t possibly accept his help unscrupulously.

Si Yue fell silent again. After a while, he asked, “What do you think of the Fu family?”

“Ah?” Fu Yunruo was caught off guard and didn’t react for a while.

“What do you think about Chairman Fu?” This was related to how he should treat his son’s maternal grandfather. After all, everything depends on the opinion of the child’s mother.

Fu Yunruo hesitated, “If I say that I no longer regard him as my father, would you think I am cold-blooded?”

Compared with the one in this world, her father in her original world was simply the best. Although she spent less time with her parents she was young, both her father and her mother loved her very much. They always remembered her birthday and sent her presents, and they always tried their best to accompany her on special days…

Having such a good father as a comparison, Fu Yunruo was unable to accept this ‘father.’

However, Fu Yunruo knew that she could never escape from this blood relationship. If she, as the child, took the initiative to cut off the relationship, the world would condemn only her and point their fingers at her in blame.

Fu Yunruo was not afraid of rumors, but she had to consider Wenwen. The existence of this child gave her unlimited courage and power to overcome any difficulties, but he was also her biggest weakness. Fu Yunruo couldn’t bear to let him face even the smallest malice.

“Sometimes I really don’t know what I should do…” She couldn’t keep ignoring the past of the body she now occupied. Sooner or later, she would have to resolve it, no matter how the outcome was.

“No.” Si Yue looked straight into Fu Yunruo’s eyes and slowly said, “You have done a good job.”

“No matter what you want to do, I will support you.”

Fu Yunruo looked up in a daze. For some reason, she found Si Yue to be extremely dazzling at the moment, so much so that she didn’t dare to meet his eyes.

Fu Yunruo responded in a low voice, feeling much more relaxed. She decided to temporarily forget about the matter and to deal with it when the time came. In any case, she should take her steps at her own pace.

“It’s late. Go back and take a good rest.”

Fu Yunruo nodded. Thinking that she had left for a long and worried that Wenwen might wake up, she was ready to return to bed. She stood up and said, “Then I’ll return to my room. Mr. Yue, thank you and good night.”

“Good night.”

Si Yue waited until Fu Yunruo returned to her room, and only then did he go back to his room and call Yuan Xin right away. Once the call was connected, Si Yue immediately ordered the agent to check whether Fu Yunruo was going to buy a house or rent, and to watch the whole process. In the case she met any difficulties, he was to provide help as necessary.

“Have you persuaded her?” Yuan Xin was impressed by Si Yue’s adeptness. It shouldn’t be easy to persuade Fu Yunruo so quickly.

Si Yue: “…” He had prepared a lot of persuasive words, but didn’t even use a single of them because Fu Yunruo had long had this plan.

Of course Si Yue wouldn’t mention such a thing that brought shame upon himself, but Yuan Xin had been Si Yue’s agent for ten years and knew quite a bit of his temperament, and thus was occasionally able to understand some of his thoughts. Noticing Si Yue’s unusual silence, Yuan Xin’s brain quickly moved, and he tentatively asked, “Did she make the decision herself?”

Si Yue: “…goodbye.” This agent was smart when he shouldn’t be.

Amidst Yuan Xin’s sudden burst of laughter, Si Yue hung up the call. His brows twitched — what’s so funny anyway? In any case, the end result was indeed what he wanted despite a little mishap in the process, so Si Yue was in a good mood.
