Chapter 21: After a Night of Betrayal and Sorrow (Part 2)
After nightfall, I sent a message to Karen.
Of course, it was in the form of “I just came back from a trip.
Karen, are you still awake?
Is that so? Did you have fun on your trip?
It was pretty good. I think I was able to relax.
Nothing much. I was just lounging around at home.
Oh, did she forget about the ” meeting friends” setting on Saturday night?
I see. Are you two going to go out somewhere next week?
I see. I suppose she has lost a lot of feelings for me.
I’ll get back to you later.
I’m thinking of going on a trip with my friends.
A trip with friends? With whom?
A local friend. A friend from junior high school.
I have a feeling that Karen uses “local friend” when she meets Kamokura.
It’s okay, right? Even Yu-kun went on a trip with Ishida-kun this week! Karen also wants to hang out with her local friends once in a while.
Before I can even say anything, she’s pushing me.
Is it Kamokura after all?
I didn’t say no. It’s fine. Go ahead and do it.
When are you planning to go?
I haven’t decided for sure yet. But it will probably be during the holidays in November.
I see. Let me know when you decide.
That was the end of my message with Karen.
I immediately made a phone call to Toko-senpai.
“It’s me. I just exchanged messages with Karen.
Are you talking about ‘going on a trip’?
Did you hear about it from Kamokura?
“It’s not that clear, but he said on the phone just now, ‘I might be going on a trip with some guys from my club in junior high.
I knew it. Karen said the same thing. The date hasn’t been decided yet, but it’s going to be a holiday in November.
Tetsuya didn’t say that much, did he? he just said that he might go.
This means that Karen is more involved in the affair than Kamokura.
I don’t think of Karen as my girlfriend anymore, but I’m still not happy about it.
I decided to tell Toko about it.
From the sound of it, Karen seems to be the one who’s more into it.
Apparently, Toko-senpai got the same impression.
When I said, “Shall we meet next week?” she said, “I don’t know yet.”
Tonko-senpai’s voice stopped.
She seems to be thinking about something.
Anyway, I’ll see you tomorrow. I want to think about our future plans. We’ll meet at the coffee shop where we first met. Is that okay?”
“All right. Then the time will be the same as last time.”
With that, I hung up the phone.
Toko-senpai finally admitted to the “affair between Kamokura Tetsuya and Karen Mitsumoto”.
I’m not sure what to make of this.
Now it’s time to start the strategy of “when the other person is most in love with you, dump them and spend the night with someone else.
I will never forget the humiliation and bitterness of being made such a fool of.
