As Rovel steps into the entrance hall, Sauvell and his old mother are already standing in front of him. Sauvell who is supporting their mother is smiling when he sees Rovel.
Rovel: âEsteem Mother!â
Rovelâs Mother: âAaa. How can it be⌠Itâs really you, Rovel!â
Rovel embraces his mother Isabella with a lot of emotions running inside of him. All the servants in the house who see the reunion between this pair of mother and son are moved to tears and giving them applauses.
Isabella: âYou seem well. âŚâŚâŚAaa, but you have changed a lotâŚâ
Isabella stares into Rovelâs eyes while stroking his head affectionately. Isabella's hairs have turned whiter. When Rovel looks at his mother's white hair, he narrows his eyes painfully.
Rovel: âIâm really sorry for being away for so long.â
Isabella: âYou have your own thing. You must had thought that you would be forced to marry that woman if you came back. Then you chose not to go back home to avoid that. Just as I thought.â
Rovel: âHave you been waiting for me to go home? Itâs my fault. â
Isabella: âBut, I never thought that woman would get married to SauvellâŚâŚ I heard from Sauvell. You have succeeded in getting rid of her.â
Rovel: âYeah. I did it because she is the number 1 person that I donât want to see when I come back home.â
Isabella: âYou are right.â
Isabella who is crying and smiling at the same time, waves her handkerchief to urge them to move into another room.
Sauvell: âEveryone, you have endured really well up until today!! That woman has been sent back to the royal family and my botherâs return is also a joyful event. Although itâs just a small party, letâs celebrate it today !!â
All the servants are shouting and cheering at Sauvellâs announcement.
Rovel: âLetâs have a chat while we are waiting until they finish the party preparation. Then, letâs go.â
Isabella happily holds onto Rovelâs arm when he offers his arm to her. Meanwhile, Sauvell and Lawrence follow them from behind.
Rovel: âAsk some of the maids to pack that womanâs belongings. Send them to the palace by tomorrow. â
Lawrence: âUnderstood.â
Sauvell: âAlbert doesnât know about our gathering at this place?â
Lawrence: âHe was supposed to wait for Lord Rovel return at the entrance, butâŚâ
Sauvell tilts his head and goes toward Rovel to ask if he knows what happens with Albert. When he comes into the room, he politely interrupts the conversation between Rovel and Isabella who are sitting on the chairs.
Sauvell: âOlder Brother, do you know where is Albert?â
Rovel: âIf you are asking about Albert, I told him to do some penitence.â
Sauvell: âE?â
Rovel: âThat guy has a loose mouth. He is not trustworthy. He should be removed from your side. â
Sauvell:âWha, what did happen?â
Albert has been serving the Vankriff house for nearly 20 years. As a consequence, Sauvell, Isabella and Lawrence are all astounded at Albert's betrayal.
Isabella: âWhat happens? Please explain.â
Isabella who has just come back promptly from her seclusion is flared up for some explanation on what happens. When She asked Rovel, she made a grim face.
Rovel: âEsteem Mother, I havenât told you this yet, but in the spirit realm, I got married to my beloved. We also have a daughter.â
Isabella: âWaaâŚ!!â
Rovel: âMy hair and eyes are proof that I have become a half spirit. Due to this blessing, my life span has been greatly extended.â
Isabella: âOh my, that is so enviable. Thatâs why you do not seem to grow any older.â
Sauvell: ââŚâŚâŚEsteem Mother.â
Sauvell holds his head over Isabellaâs lighthearted remark. Although Sauvell as well was surprised when Rovel told him the news, his mother is too frank with her feelings. In the past, even their father sometimes was astonished by their motherâs boldness.
Isabella: âDid Albert do something related to this fact?â
Rovel: âYes. Both my wife and daughter are spirits. Even though this confidential matter is only known by Albert, Lawrence, and Sauvell, this matter was leaked to His Highness. His Highness told me that he wished to introduce his son to my daughter.â
Sauvell: ââŚâŚSuch a thing.â
Rovel: âSo far, I have been trying to keep my family matter hidden from the royal familyâŚâŚâŚBut itâs useless to hide it from His Highness.â
After Rovel said that he lets out a sigh.
Rovel: âThe royal family has a curse that prevents them from making contact with spirit. Itâs highly possible that His Highness would use my daughter to solve this problem. âŚâŚâŚSo annoying.â
While Rovel seems to resign about the situation, the corners of Lawrenceâs eyes are raised.
Lawrence: âAlbert used Lady Ellen as a bargaining chipâŚâ
Rovel : Thatâs right. Because I was worried about that, I only told about my family to my trusted companions. ButâŚâ
Lawrence: âWhat a betrayal. Do you wish to get rid of him?â
Lawrence's killing intents are on the high. Isabella and Sauvellâs shoulders are shaken due to the shock of seeing him seeking for blood.
Rovel: ââŚâŚâŚDonât do it. Esteem Fatherâs feelings would go into a waste.â
