Chapter 13: The Easy Way Out to Welcome the Hero

The appearance of Tenmark palace which can be seen from the water mirror reminds Ellen of Hohenzollern Castle, one of the 3 greatest castles of Germany. This palace is as beautiful as the German castle which is praised as the ‘Castle of the sky’. In her previous life, she always loved to watch a quiz or a traveling show about places around the world. From all of them, Ellen particularly loved the topic of European castles.

The Hohenzollern Castle was located on the summit of a mountain in the south region of Germany. There were so many clouds surrounding the castle which prompt it to become famous as a castle which appears on top of the sea of clouds.

Meanwhile, Tenmark palace is surrounded by forest. During summertime, the trees are lush in green, while in the wintertime, the palace will be concealed with snows. Just by imagining the outlook of the palace, the view seems so surreal.

As such, this palace is unparalleled compare to others. Despite being located in the center of the capital city, it is also surrounded by luscious forest. The palace is also located on top of a small hill and with a huge outer wall. The scale of the outer wall is one of the prides of the country. The outer wall is built outside the big forest. The whole construction makes the forest become a part of the palace. Overall it looks like a huge garden.

In my previous life, I did not only love European castles, I also loved foreign landscapes and townscapes. I especially loved fantasy landscapes which are based on European concepts. In the past, I used to go to the cinema to watch a film based on fantasy novels or stories. I loved all those country and castle concepts in the movie. This was also the reason why I became a researcher. Then I was also started to be interested in fantasy metal such as 1mithril and2orichalcum. Whenever she created a new metal element, she would anticipate the day when she was able to find those fantasy metals. She believed the fantasy element like mithril was not only a dream, but it truly existed.

Now that I have become a spirit, I feel that even if I have an eye to see far into the future, I will never know what will happens in life. Like being able to live in a castle with mother in the spirit world. When I was 2 years old, I was so excited because I was able to use magic. In order to tested it out, I ran out from the castle and flew to the sky. I was getting in the mood to go for an adventure and went missing. Father and Mother were flustered when they knew I went missing, and all the spirits in the castle were also helping to search for me. Imagine being a parent of a 2 years old child who is smart at hiding and destroying her tracks to avoid being capture while being engrossed in her own adventure. Just by remembering the matters, it made my parents sigh.

While remembering my memories of my childhood, I become so absorbed in watching the states affairs in the Tenmark palace from the water mirror. Mother who is smiling as she looks at my attitude is wondering, ‘Is she doing some inspection on enemy’s fortress?’

Ellen: “Esteem Mother, that’s too much. I’m just genuinely enjoying the whole situation.”

After I renew my state of mind from all the distraction, I cheer for Father from behind the water mirror.

The return of the Hero to the palace creates a big uproar. A lot of servants and other employees in the castle are rushing to go to the room where the Hero is. A lot of unwanted visitors are coming just to see a glance of the majestic appearance of the hero. They are following unfounded rumors about Rovel’s whereabout and going around the palace to find him. When those overly excited people are rushing to go inside the palace, the soldiers are running around to surround them without a break.

The moment the King heard from the soldiers about the excitement of the people to go into the palace despite it’s still early for the Hero audience time, he broke into cold sweats. His feet were trembling and his body temperature became cold.

Lafissel: “Your Majesty.”

The king was surprised and jilted at the sudden voice.

King: “La,Lafissel……”

The man called Lafissel was smiling sweetly. Lafissel is the first prince of Tenmark who will be 32 years old this year. He also has 3 children already. He has 2 sons and one daughter. The oldest son is 12 years old, his daughter is 10 years old, and the youngest son is 9 years old.

Lafissel: “Your Majesty, do you remember what I told you at that time? I told you that we should not take what Agriel had said seriously. Instead, Your Majesty listened to your surrounding which made Rovel’s incident occurred and then you pushed Agriel into the Vankriff house. “

After that, the King seemed to recall the events of those days. He hanged his head down while trembling due to his anger and did not say anything. No, to be exact, he couldn't refute him.

The opposition from the people in the dominion against the Royal family has been on the rise lately. Especially since there is a rumor among the people that after the Monster Tempest incident the royal family without any regards to Vankriff’s house past achievement, crushes the Vankriff house in order to protect themselves. Despite the King’s reason that he did so to protect the whole country, the citizens have the opposite reaction. They are mad at the King and the King’s popularity has become much worse in the past 10 years.

At the moment, inside the room, there was no one else besides the King and his son.

Lafissel: “Your Majesty, there is one way out for this issue.”

The King lifted his face towards Lafissel who offered his advice with a smile on his face.

Lafissel: “Yes, it’s a very simple thing to do and your problem will be solved instantly.”
