The main plot of the movie “Tibetan Warrior Pavilion” was based on a rumour.
It was said that when the demon clan was exterminated many years ago, the leader of the Tibetan Pavilion took a peerless magic weapon from the demon clan’s treasure vault. However, after the war, no one could find the treasure vault. Allegedly, the specific location of the treasure vault was hidden in the drawings and the magic weapon.
When this rumour spread throughout the martial arts world, the Tibetan Warrior Pavilion became a target of public criticism. In fact, this was a conspiracy planned by Xiao Siyuan, the second male lead played by Ji Qinghuai.
Xiao Siyuan’s character was extremely paranoid and cruel. Ji Qinghuai understood that Xiao Siyuan may have a mental problem. He had fallen into madness and the things he did couldn’t be comprehended using common sense. To add on, he was also temperamental and moody. To sum up, he was a lunatic.
Ji Qinghuai had never tried this kind of role and Xiao Siyuan’s role left a very strong impression on him, so he rejected the main protagonist role, Qi Feng.
He wanted to let loose and abuse the protagonist.
But a week after joining the film crew, all of Ji Qinghuai’s expectations and enthusiasm were drained due to various reasons. The actual filming in the scorching sun was already terrible but Wang Jiajia still quarreled with the director every day, hindering the shooting progress.
Fortunately, there was no emotional relation between Xiao Siyuan and the female lead in the script so Ji Qinghuai and Wang Jiajia had very few scenes together. It was just that Lu Fangjie, the actor for the male protagonist, had the most scenes with her. After every scene, Lu Fangjie would sigh helplessly and silently wish for the director to replace him.
Therefore, Ji Qinghuai concentrated on filming his scenes and usually watched the excitement on the film set. Other times, he would play with his phone. Huang Minghai was aggravated by Wang Jiajia for an entire week but when he looked at Ji Qinghuai, he suddenly felt a lot more calm.
This morning, Ji Qinghuai changed his clothes and put on makeup before Huang Minghai pulled him to supervise the shooting. Ji Qinghuai sat in front of the monitor and watched the male and female protagonists act out the first scene. Wang Jiajia had only uttered two lines before Ji Qinghuai couldn’t bear to watch.
In the film, Wang Jiajia played He Qingyi, a kind and intelligent eldest lady. This persona was very pleasing, but Wang Jiajia’s unruly and willful acting added ferocious looks and various small actions. At first, you could tell that this was the eldest young lady of a noble family but after Wang Jiajia’s ‘interpretation’, anyone who saw her character would think she was a young girl who ran away from home.
Ji Qinghuai hadn’t seen such a scene in a long time, he couldn’t stand it and gave Lu Fangjie a sympathetic look.
Just then, the mobile phone in his hand vibrated. Ji Qinghuai lowered his head and unlocked the screen, seeing a WeChat message.
Ji Qinghuai read the message, turned to his assistant and said, “Luo Yi, go nearby and help me pick someone up.”
Luo Yi questioned, “Pick up who?”
“A gentleman surnamed Xie.”
Luo Yi nodded and continued, “But I don’t know this Mr Xie, how can I determine which one is him?”
“It’s easy,” Ji Qinghuai said. “Just look at the faces of the people you pass and find one that looks good but is a little worse than me. That’s Mr Xie.”
Luo Yi: “…” Are you kidding me?
Ji Qinghuai was amused by Luo Yi’s expression and said sternly, “He is wearing a pair of gold wired glasses. He looks very cold, his height is about the same as mine, um… just go and look for him, I think you can recognise him at a glance. ”
Fearing that Xie Yan would wait outside for a long time, Ji Qinghuai urged him, “Go quickly.”
“Okay,” said Luo Yi, half believing and half doubting, but without further delay, he went to pick up the person at the address given by Ji Qinghuai.
After Luo Yi left, the deputy director, Fan Wei poked his head out and asked curiously, “Who is this Mr Xie?”
Ji Qinghuai lowered his head to reply to Xie Yan while saying, “A friend of mine.”
“Friend?” Fan Wei asked again, “He came to see you?”
Ji Qinghuai replied, “En.”
“Then it seems that your relationship is very good,” Fan Wei said with a smile. “Otherwise, who would endure the burning heat to visit the set.”
Ji Qinghuai smiled and did not say a word, but his heart had already begun to weaken.
Visiting the set does not necessarily mean that they had a good relationship, what exactly their relationship is had yet to be seen…
After half an hour, the filming was paused and everyone took a rest while having lunch. Lu Fangjie sat next to Ji Qinghuai and struck up a conversation with him. However, he unintentionally looked up and was stunned.
Luo Yi, Ji Qinghuai’s assistant, had returned and was walking towards them, leading an unfamiliar man behind him.
The man’s appearance was very outstanding, with a touch of coolness in his elegant temperament. He was the type that stunned people at first glance.
He wore a pair of gold-wired glasses, his calm eyes hidden behind the lenses. However, that did nothing to stop people from admiring him. His slightly long hair naturally hung on his ears, making his pale face appear smaller.
Such an outstanding appearance was rare even in the entertainment industry where attractive men all gathered. Few could match him in terms of appearance. Lu Fangjie was amazed and teased Ji Qinghuai, “Are you looking for someone to steal my job? ”
Ji Qinghuai didn’t understand what he meant at first. Seeing him looking forward, Ji Qinghuai’s gaze also moved over and when he saw that person, he smiled.
Ji Qinghuai felt that Xie Yan did not often pay attention to how he dressed. He usually dressed casually and today, he was wearing a set of ordinary clothes that weren’t eye-catching but it couldn’t hide his noble temperament.
Such a person was destined not to be neglected wherever he went.
“Looks good.” Ji Qinghuai was also very happy to hear others complimenting Xie Yan, but this did not stop him from being narcissistic, “It’s just a little bit worse than me.”
Lu Fangjie smiled.
As the two talked, Luo Yi and Xie Yan had already arrived in front of them. Ji Qinghuai realized that Xie Yan was already sweating. He picked up the pack of wet wipes at hand, opened the seal and handed one to Xie Yan, “Wipe your face first.”
Xie Yan took it and said, “Thank you.”
Luo Yi’s task has been completed. He took a few sips of ice water and went out to lie down while wiping his sweat with a towel.
Xie Yan folded the wet wipes twice and wiped off the sweat on his face. Ji Qinghuai took a bottle of ice water, unscrewed the cap, and then passed the water to Xie Yan.
Xie Yan took a couple of sips until the heat on his body dissipated.
Luo Yi watched Xie Yan’s gentle movements, looked at the towel in his hand, unfolded it and hung it at the side.
At first, when Ji Qinghuai had told him, “I think you can find him at a glance.” Luo Yi felt that Ji Qinghuai’s words were unreliable, but when he reached the address and raised his eyes, he noticed a person with just a glance. His temperament was cold and his looks were not inferior to Ji Qinghuai.
The person in front of him matched the description given by Ji Qinghuai.
Luo Yi stepped forward and confirmed the identity of the other party before he brought the person to the set quickly.
At that time, Luo Yi realised how easy it was to find a person in the crowd.
