Chapter 46 - Her jealousy know no bounds

Ji Xia successfully passed her final exam and entered revision week to prepare for her other subjects while Ji Yu’s painting exhibition also started as scheduled.
Although her aunt had already called Ji Xia and asked her to take Fu Hengzhi over to cheer for Ji Yu, Fu Hengzhi was as steady as a mountain and they had to wait until Ji Xia finished her last exam and let her rest at home for a day before taking her there. .
“Welcome!”
After so many days, Ji Yu’s exhibition was almost over, the crowd was not as big as before and some of her works had already been sold. The white walls made it even more desolate as Ji Yu came out alone to greet them.
“Sorry, Sister Ji Yu, I was very busy with my final exams …” Ji Xia felt a little embarrassed that it had taken her so long to come to support Ji Yu, “But now the exams are over and it’s summer vacation.”
“It’s okay. Xia Xia, what’s the big deal about that.” Ji Yu wore a white backless dress that was similar to Ji Xia’s today, just up to her knees, her eyes bent down showing a bit of innocence, “I am very moved that a busy person like Mr Fu take time out of your busy schedule to come and take a look at my little exhibition.”
“You’re welcome.”
Of course Fu Hengzhi was not unaware of the commercial value of his visit. He was polite and distant towards Ji Yu. He bent his lips and held Ji Xia’s hand tightly: “We are just here to have a look, we can stroll around by yourselves. If Miss Ji is busy, you don’t have to accompany us to explain.”
“How can I do that?” Ji Yu looked at Fu Hengzhi then blinked and clasped her hands in front of him obediently: “Although there are not many works left, it’s fine as long as Mr. Fu doesn’t mind it.”
After speaking, Ji Yu warmly took Ji Xia’s hand from the other side: “Let’s go, Xia Xia.”
Ji Yu’s exhibition space was very simple and elegant, the decorations were all fresh perfume lilies that were shipped in the morning and the theme of her work fitted very well with the fresh and elegant colors.
“The theme of my art exhibition this time is spring, so most of the colors are very fresh and pink and the composition is more lively and vibrant.” Ji Yu introduced her work to the two while holding Ji Xia’s hand as she walked in. “I remember when Xia Xia was still painting, she liked to paint plants and flowers the most, right?”
“Really?” Fu Hengzhi finally got some interest: “Have you two painted together?”
“Yes, we studied together for a while at the beginning.” Ji Yu said and glanced sideways at Ji Xia: “We also studied ballet together for a while, do you still remember, Xia Xia?”
Ji Xia nodded: “Yeah, of course I still remember.”
Ji Yu was four years older than Ji Xia and she already had a foundation for several years when Ji Xia moved to their house. Both of them were arranged to study under the same teacher. Ji Xia cried every day in pain in the beginning and Ji Yu comforted and encouraged her. The relationship between the two was pretty good at that time.
Ji Xia tried very hard to catch up with her sister and practiced extremely hard after class trying to learn the same things as her and be able to be dance partners with her but Ji Yu suddenly stopped coming to ballet class one day for some unknown reason. .
In contrast, her aunt also told her after a while that one should focus all of their energy on one thing and then made her stop her art class.
Her art class became Ji Yu’s class and she switched back to the ballet class that originally belonged to Ji Yu. Since then, the two of them had been at odds with each other as if they exchanged each other’s life trajectories and entered into the life that the other person longed for. .
Ji Xia thought so.
She looked at the remaining works on the wall and each of them was already an excellent painting at her level and she could not pick out any shortcomings. The spring flowers depicted in the works were the world she once longed for and her envy was indescribable for a while. .
“Xia Xia, I remember you liked drawing before, didn’t you?” Ji Yu looked at the light in Ji Xia’s eyes and showed a sympathetic smile : “Now is the time to develop other hobbies in college, do you still want to learn, if you want to learn, I can introduce a teacher or a senior I know to teach you.”
” You don’t need to bother, Miss Ji.” Fu Hengzhi wasn’t very interested in Ji Yu’s paintings but kept looking at the broken light in Ji Xia’s eyes when she was looking at the paintings, “I’ve already made arrangements for Xia Xia.”
“Huh?” Ji Xia had never heard of this from Fu Hengzhi at all and at this moment she looked at Fu Hengzhi as an afterthought: “What, what has been arranged?”
“I have already contacted an old professor before and he said that he’d like to teach you, I was going to tell you about it two days after your final exam.”
Fu Hengzhi stared at Ji Xia Shi’s eyes very soft and dazzlingly.  Ji Yu looked at the perfume lilies behind Fu Hengzhi casually while holding back the sourness in her heart. She asked: “Which old professor, I know all the famous people in this circle.”
“Zhao Songnan, Mr. Zhao.”
Ji Yu paused for a moment.
Zhao Songnan was the top professor in the circle. He stopped teaching after he retired five years ago. When Ji Yu was at the university, she had asked him several times but she was declined everytime and finally she went to her current teacher.
But Ji Xia, a beginner who couln’t even hold a paintbrush found Zhao Songnan directly through Fu Hengzhi.
She became more and more uneasy and upset.
