Chapter 32.1

The day before they returned to China, Ji Xia and Fu Hengzhi went to Hakone to find a hot spring hotel to stay in and before they could stroll around, they received a call from their aunt.

“Hello, Xia Xia.”

Her aunt’s voice on the other end of the phone was still very kind; “Your sister called me a while ago and said that she was planning to go back to China for development. The airplane ticket you booked two days ago said that it would arrive tomorrow, can you ask Heng Zhi if he has time, come home and have a meal tomorrow.”

“Sorry auntie, Mr. Fu and I won’t be returning to China tomorrow night, can we do it the day after tomorrow?” She looked at Fu Hengzhi  and smiled at him. “Mr. Fu took me out to play for a few days, this place is really nice. In the future, uncles and aunts can also come and hang out.”

“I told you earlier that you two are already engaged, don’t call him Mr. Fu anymore, it sounds awkward.” The woman’s tone became a little more serious because of Ji Xia’s address;”How are you and Hengzhi recently? He seems to like you since he even takes out out to play.”

“Fu… Hengzhi is very good to me.” Ji Xia noticed the change in her aunt’s tone and shrank her neck slightly: “It’s very, very good…”

“That’s good.”  Only then did the woman breathe out a sigh of relief, “Xia Xia, has Hengzhi ever mentioned to you that he wants to have a child?”

“Ah?”

Ji Xia was stunned for a while and looked at Fu Hengzhi subconsciously.

“No, Auntie.”

Not only did Fu Hengzhi not mention it but Ji Xia hadn’t thought about it either.

“What about you? You don’t want to think about it if he doesn’t  mention it to you ? Let me tell you, the two of you are just engaged for now and if Hengzhi is unhappy, he can send you back. You have to think about getting pregnant with his child as soon as possible. ”

“But…” But she was only nineteen now.

“You’re not too young. I gave birth to your sister when I was at your age.” Her aunt interrupted Ji Xia as if she could see through her thoughts: “Xiaxia, what am I saying is for your own good. Well, do you know that if you are pregnant, the two of you can really get together otherwise Fu Hengzhi may treat you well now but if he doesn’t like you one day in the future, you will just end up crying.”

Fu Hengzhi was sitting not far away and didn’t intend to intervene in Ji Xia’s phone call but when he saw the little girl’s expression getting more and more dark  and looked as if she had made a mistake and was being reprimanded which made people feel really distressed. He walked over and stretched out his hand towards Ji Xia.

“Give it to me, let me have a few words with Auntie.”

The woman on the other end seemed to have heard Fu Hengzhi’s voice and started hurriedly urging Ji Xia to hand over the phone quickly and then Ji Xia saw Fu Hengzhi take the phone with a smile on his face and said ; “Hello, I’m Hengzhi, I haven’t seen you for a long time. Recently, I can’t get away from things at work and I don’t visit often, it’s my negligence.”

Compared with Ji Xia who was shrinking, Fu Hengzhi was indeed much more composed. While on the phone, he didn’t forget to sit down and pull Ji Xia to sit on his lap with his slender fingers fiddling with the thin strands of hair on the back of her head.

But all Ji Xia could think about was what her aunt said just now. She listened absentmindedly to the chat between Fu Hengzhi and her aunt. Occasionally, from the slight leakage of the receiver, she could hear her aunt’s different warm laughter which was very different from what she just said now.

After Fu Hengzhi had dealt with it, he hung up the phone only to find out that Ji Xia was sitting in his arms staring blankly at the ceramic bottle for decoration not far away looking very cute.
