Despite the damp and cold weather, there were still plenty of people coming out for a drink. At this time when the whole bar street was just getting busy, cars could be seen gradually filling up on the roadside with some people getting out of their cars. They were already stumbling around and drunk, but they were still walking toward the door of the bar on the street.
When Chen Yuncheng came out, the down coat was still in his hand, and the cold air hit him instantly, causing him to shiver. He let go of Ning Junyan’s hand and raised his hand to put the coat on.
Ning Junyan lowered his eyes and looked at him without saying anything.
While Chen Yuncheng was putting on his clothes, he looked around the street to find the back of the man who had left just now, leaned into Ning Junyan’s ear and said, “Let’s follow that man.”
Ning Junyan followed Chen Yuncheng’s line of sight, recognized the man who came out of the bar at a glance, and asked, “Who is that?”
Chen Yuncheng said, “I’ll tell you later.” He had already put on his coat, raised his hand to pat Ning Junyan’s arm and walked towards the front.
The people in front were walking unhurriedly, and the two of them followed unhurriedly, as if they were taking a leisurely stroll after dinner.
As he walked, Ning Junyan asked him, “Aren’t you buying me a drink?”
Chen Yuncheng smiled, “Let’s drink later. It’s not like the wine would run away.”
After a while, Chen Yuncheng turned his head and asked Ning Junyan, “Why are you suddenly looking for me? Is there nothing wrong?”
Ning Junyan said, “I’m just looking for you.”
“Do you want to drink?”
“Anything you want.”
Chen Yuncheng glanced at him and said, “Then please accompany me for a walk for a little longer.”
But their walk didn’t last too long. After following the X-ethnic person in front of them for more than twenty minutes, they saw him turn into a dimly lit street and then enter a small hotel on the roadside.
Chen Yuncheng and Ning Junyan stopped and waited for a while before walking to the door of the hotel.
The hotel barely had a so-called lobby, just a narrow reception desk and a two-seater sofa near the glass window. It was dimly lit inside, and a young girl sat at the front desk, looking at her phone with her head down.
Ning Junyan raised his head and glanced at the hotel’s tacky signboard, looked at Chen Yuncheng, and asked him seriously,  “Going in?”
Chen Yuncheng laughed, “Why go in, we are not going in.” He also glanced at the hotel sign and wrote down the name.
Ning Junyan asked him again, “Aren’t you looking for someone?”
Chen Yuncheng shook his head, he stretched out his hand and pulled Ning Junyan’s arm, wanting to ask him to leave with him, but as soon as he took two steps, heavy rain suddenly fell from the sky.
The heavy rain fell without any preparation, and only heard the sound of “Sha—”, and it fell overwhelmingly, instantly wetting Chen Yuncheng’s hair.
Chen Yuncheng reluctantly pulled Ning Junyan back, and they stood under the eaves of the hotel to shelter from the rain.
Both were silent for a moment and looked up at the heavy rain in the sky.
Chen Yuncheng was a little embarrassed. He asked Ning Junyan, “Did you drive?”
Ning Junyan said, “It’s parked in front of your kiosk.”
Chen Yuncheng asked, “Why didn’t you drive over?”
Ning Junyan turned to look at him, “Aren’t you going to buy me a drink? How can I drive?”
Chen Yuncheng was speechless for a moment. But even if Ning Junyan had driven over, it was still over twenty minutes away from here to the bar. It was raining so hard and they didn’t have an umbrella, so they definitely couldn’t walk over to get the car.
At this time, a middle-aged man dodges his way along the street, and his hair was almost soaked. He ran to the hotel door and headed inside.
The front of the hotel was not big, so Ning Junyan and Chen Yuncheng had to move back to make way for him.
When the middle-aged man entered, he kept looking back and forth at the two of them with strange eyes.
Chen Yuncheng smiled at him, but Ning Junyan looked indifferent and didn’t even look at him, but he didn’t seem uncomfortable at all.
The middle-aged man went in.
Chen Yuncheng said to Ning Junyan, “I’ll get a taxi.” He took out his mobile phone, opened the taxi app, and saw that it was the peak time for using a car and that a queue was expected to take more than ten minutes for the car to arrive.
Ning Junyan looked ahead with a blank expression, the cashmere coat on his body was drenched in rainwater, and there were still raindrops that were constantly blown to their front by the wind.
Chen Yuncheng peeked at him from the side and suddenly felt that Ning Junyan today was out of tune with this kind of place. He felt sorry for him to hide from the rain with him at the entrance of such a small hotel, so he said, “Why don’t we go in.”
Ning Junyan turned his head and was silent for a while before asking, “Do you want to open a room?”
Chen Yuncheng said, “No need, the car will arrive in more than ten minutes. It shouldn’t matter if we sit on the sofa for a while.”
Before Ning Junyan could answer him, he turned around and pushed open the glass door of the hotel and walked in.
The hotel lobby was too small that almost as soon as he entered he was already standing in front of the front desk.
The young girl who had been burying her head and devoted herself to watching Korean dramas raised her head and asked subconsciously, “Do you want to open the room?”
After she asked, she looked at Chen Yuncheng and Ning Junyan with surprised expressions. It wasn’t that it was strange for two men to open a room, but when she looked at Ning Junyan, she didn’t think he was someone who stayed in such a small hotel.
Chen Yuncheng said with a natural attitude, “We’re waiting for the car.”
The girl didn’t understand the situation either, so she just nodded blankly and watched the two of them walk to the sofa and sit down.
The two-seater sofa was quite narrow, so the two of them were close together when they sat down.
Chen Yuncheng saw the fine water droplets on Ning Junyan’s clothes and took out a pack of tissues from his pocket. He had been carrying this pack of tissues all day, and it looked crumpled and not very clean.
When he saw Ning Junyan looking down, he quickly said, “It’s clean inside.” He took out a sheet and handed it to Ning Junyan, and said, “Wipe the water off your body.”
Ning Junyan extended his hand and took it, but did not do anything else.
When Chen Yuncheng saw it, he pulled out another tissue to help him wipe the rain off his shoulders and front.
Ning Junyan lowered his eyes and looked at Chen Yuncheng’s actions.
After a while, Chen Yuncheng threw the soaked tissue into the bin not far away and said to Ning Junyan, “It’ll do.”
Ning Junyan obviously didn’t care what his clothes would look like. He just turned his head and glanced at the heavy rain that showed no sign of stopping outside, and asked, “Are we still going to drink?”
Chen Yuncheng was looking down at his phone, and he said with a smile, “Do you want to go back to the bar?”
Ning Junyan said, “Somewhere quieter.”
When Chen Yuncheng saw that the car would arrive in a few minutes, he thought about it and said, “Then why don’t we go back to my kiosk and I’ll buy you a drink, I have a beer there.” After he said that, Chen Yuncheng felt that it was not quite right. The last time he invited Ning Junyan to dinner was also in his kiosk, and the food was very simple, so he added, “You can go to a bar if you want, let’s change to a quiet one.”
Ning Junyan said, “Let’s go to your place.”
Chen Yuncheng smiled, “Okay.”
